‘New Age Dogma’

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I am a nobody! I am not a Shaman, a Medicine Man, a guru, a channeler or a psychic. I am not an ex-intelligence officer from the CIA, the NSA, the secret services or any other branch of any service. I am not the reincarnation of an ancient being, an ancient deity or a heavenly visitor. I have nothing to offer you in the way of credibility. I am a nobody…and I like it that way!

On October 18^th, 1996, I delivered an address at the ‘Cosmic Awareness, UFO and New Age Expo’ in Mesa, Arizona. In the address, I challenged some of the most basic precepts of the UFO/New Age speakers and lecturers. The response was both immediate and near overwhelming. I was not permitted to finish my address (time was the excuse, I had been speaking for half an hour, other speakers were granted an hour plus.) Within 24 hours, I was accused of being part of the UFO government cover-up by a pseudo-expert who continues to accuse me of blatant falsehoods. Since that day, and because of subsequent lectures, radio interviews and appearances, I have been labeled a purveyor of ‘fear-based’ works, an anti-Christ, an ‘evil’ man, a Satanist, a threat to decency, a ‘debunker’ and even more. Recently, a highly prominent female ‘expert’ on crop circles announced that I channel all of my material!

I am no longer asked to do radio interviews, I am not invited to gatherings or conferences (Bob Brown’s Congress and the Axiom Prophet’s Conference are significant exceptions), and I am constantly attacked by UFO/New Age speakers. My work has been deliberately misrepresented by these supposed experts…and yet I have found them quoting my research nearly verbatim.

The New Age/UFO community at large does NOT seek the Truth, Ladies and Gentlemen…they seek to maintain an image. They portray themselves as ‘Seekers of the Truth’, but do not allow a difference of opinion. They attempt to depict themselves as the ‘Challengers of Secrecy’ yet they refuse to accept any challenge to their own position. They pride themselves in the uncovering of the ‘Conspiracy’ yet close their ranks to examination of their own theories. This is not the position of Truth-Seekers…it is the position of a group with a ‘party line’, a dogma. It is a position which emulates that of a church…a UFO/New Age Community Church…replete with elders and priestesses.

The UFO/New Age Community Church seeks to maintain its ‘spiritual’ image so that its priests and priestesses can sell their ‘medicines’ and ‘cure-alls’, their charms, their medallions, and sadly…their false hopes. The distortion of the Truth by the UFO/NA Church is as devastating as that which is practiced by the government and the military. It is no wonder that most rational adults today refer to the New Age ‘Love and Light’ people as ‘airy-fairies’.

And it is not without justification. Just look at the attendees at one of the conferences. Many are dressed in flowing robes with sequined cheeks, capes and crystals, earrings, dangles and other body-piercing doo-dads that give the event the feel of a bad 60s ‘Love-In’. That is not to say that reasonable people do not attend, honestly seeking insight…they do. But the attention-getters are precisely those people who contribute to the image of the ‘airy-fairy’ New Ager.

And this image does not help legitimate researchers or honest ‘Seekers’ in their efforts. Far too many UFO/NA speakers are seeking their moment of glory, fulfilling their desire to be ‘special’ and enjoying the position as ‘Princess’, ‘Priestess’ or ‘High Priest’ of their self-established ‘Spiritual Church’. Many of the UFO/NA clergy claim on-going contact with some form of ‘Higher’ essence or extra-terrestrial presence. Nearly every UFO/NA speaker waxes on and on over the ‘Benevolent Star Brothers’, the ‘Cosmic Spiritual Evolution of Humankind’ and the ‘Coming Transformation’ of Man into higher Light Levels.

Once again…these are NOT the words of legitimate researchers, these are the words of evangelizing priests and priestesses. Let us make the point very clear. Research…legitimate research…does not take the experience or revelations of one individual and declare it as THE Truth. THE Truth is readily accessible and clearly visible to anyone and everyone, not just one individual. If one person has a revelation that the sky is green, this may very well become a Personal Truth, but it does not become THE Truth until everyone sees that the sky is green. The UFO/NA community is filled with individuals who present their Personal Truths…and personal opinions…as THE Truth. This is presumptuous and it is dangerously misleading.

It is my position that Personal Truth can reveal only Personal perspective, THE Truth can unveil the secrets of the cosmos and Universe.

A quick example of Personal Truth versus THE Truth: Two individuals go into the forest and encounter a bear. One person finds that he has to flee from the bear because the bear is hungry and wants to take a bite out of the him. The second person finds the bear later, his tummy filled and quite docile and gentle, allowing itself to be approached and petted.

The question that arises is this: What is THE Truth? Is the bear a gentle, quiet compassionate beast that is one with Nature…or is the bear a vicious and carnivorous, evil beast? Is THE Truth a combination of the two or somewhere in between? Do we need to take a poll of other people or garner the opinion of the bear experts in the field of animal study? What is THE Truth?

I suggest that THE Truth is none of the above.

THE Truth is....the bear.

The bear is not what anyone thinks of him, nor is he what anyone expects of him or gets from him. The bear is…the bear. The bear is not good, he is not bad, he is not neutral…he is not anyone’s perspective. And there is more, he is not God, he is not an owl, and he is not human! He is a part of all things, but he is plainly and simply…the bear. This, Ladies and Gentlemen…is THE Truth.

Galileo and Copernicus tried to reveal THE Truth about our solar system, but the dogma of the Church would not permit this sacrilege. God had ordained that the Earth was the center of the solar system and the Universe. Galileo and Copernicus were persecuted, ‘Love and Light’ prevailed…if but for a while.

The primitives of the New World believed themselves to be human beings but the dogma of the Church would not permit this sacrilege. God had ordained that the New World was the Manifest Destiny of the Europeans. The Natives were rounded up or killed, their savage culture and heathen religions destroyed, ‘Love and Light’ prevailed…if but for a while. Now the ‘Love and Light’ people seek the wisdom and spirituality of the Natives whom their Divinely inspired ancestors nearly decimated. Has God changed his mind?

In the following pages, I would like to examine some of the most often expressed views of the UFO/New Age community. This first segment is taken directly from my statement issued at the October presentation in Mesa in 1995.

On October 3^rd of this year, just two weeks ago, the ‘Learning Channel’ broadcast a one hour program on UFO’s. The program was called, ‘Case of the UFO’s’ and was written and produced by John Groom for the BBC in association with Network 10, an Australian Television Production facility, and in conjunction with station WGBH in Boston.

Mr. David Simpson describes the experiment as follows:

‘We let the hoax run for some two and a half years, so that we could monitor he investigations undertaken by the UFOlogists. During that time we monitored their publications, a lot of articles were written about the sources, a lot of people attempted to analyze the photographs, but one important point about the photographs is that five deliberate flaws were in-built (Author: These are his words.) into them so that anybody exercising moderately critical analysis would have been able to show quite readily that they were, at least not what they were claimed to be, and that they were highly dubious.’

‘You’ve got to realize that very few of these people actually want to find out what UFO’s are. The last thing they want to find out is what actually caused whatever it was that was seen. It’s like a religious belief for them, they don’t actually want to find out anything that will destroy their belief!’

…Ladies and Gentlemen, this point is worth repeating…

The number of hoaxes and deliberate frauds perpetrated on the UFO/NA ‘experts’ has risen greatly in the last couple of years. From faked crop circles to faked alien autopsies, from phony UFO videos and photos to faked CIA ‘secret’ documents and forged Egyptian hieroglyphs, the UFO/NA conferences have become fertile ground for these ‘faked facts’.

And yet, the UFO/NA community continues to adhere to unproven, un-substantiated positions. This is, by the very definition of the word, dogma…not research.

A community that adheres to a position, without evidence or proof, is not a community based on Truth…it is a community based on belief. And while this may go towards making their lives easier and providing inspiration, it does not go towards the furthering of knowledge or Truth. Belief is not Truth. Belief is personal, Truth is not. A Seeker of Truth will not be concerned with his or her image and will admit an error or lack of information. A purveyor of dogma will not allow his position to be challenged nor will he be forthcoming with any of his evidence. A purveyor of dogma will not allow his position to be questioned or examined in any way, dismissing anyone who attempts a scrutiny, attacking any one who presents solid refutation. A challenger of dogma is always considered a heretic and must be labeled nothing less than ‘evil’ or ‘satanic’.

And so we begin to examine…’New Age Dogma’.

‘Abductions are benevolent…’

Abductions are a commonplace topic at most UFO/New Age conferences. Most lecturers attempt to portray the ‘abduction’ phenomena as a wondrous and extraordinary event, and that the end result of the experience is ‘benevolent’. If the ‘abductee’ has experienced fear, it speaks to the failing of the ‘experiencer’, not the ‘abductor’.

What is ignored by the UFO/NA speakers in their descriptions of this most ‘wondrous’ experience is that the victims are removed from their beds, in almost every case without the knowledge or permission of the ‘abductee’, and under the cover of darkness. ‘Abductees’ tell frightening stories of terrifying immobility and the inability to scream or utter a cry for help. ‘Abductees’ are forcibly removed from the safety of their beds and homes, placed in a situation where they are prodded, probed and implanted or impregnated. By definition, this is invasion of privacy, psychological assault, mental cruelty, the wrongful carrying off of an individual (kidnap), blatant interference of free will, and because of the work performed on the reproductive organs, it is sexual assault, if not rape.

(Author’s note: For those who argue that the victim ‘must have agreed to it in an earlier life’, please stay tuned for an examination of that position!)

Can ‘invasion of privacy’, psychological assault, mental cruelty, kidnap, sexual assault, rape and blatant interference of free will…can all of these things be remotely considered to be ‘benevolent’?

Do ‘invasion of privacy’, psychological assault, mental cruelty, kidnap, sexual assault, rape and blatant interference of free will…do all of these things promote happiness and prosperity? Do these actions suggest ‘good will’ or ‘benign feelings’?

There are those who argue that ‘abductees’ will often find their psychic powers enhanced or their personal lives bettered by the abduction. But cannot it not also be argued that the victim of a rape who finds herself pregnant is bearing a child, a wondrous gift of life? Is not the victim of rape not more aware of her surroundings after the event? Is she not more likely to be careful in her travels and more likely to become knowledgeable in self-defense? Is it not likely that she will warn her friends and family of the dangers of rape, perhaps even taking time to give lectures or classes in self-protection? Can we not argue that the rape has given her ‘more awareness’, ‘greater insight into the dangers of life’, moved her to ‘teach others’, ‘reach out to her sisters’, etc., etc. ad nauseum?

The frightening hypocrisy of this ridiculous argument goes beyond the boundaries of reasonableness. Rape cannot be excused because a child is conceived, and neither can abduction cannot be tolerated because of some perceived ‘benevolent’ result. The horror of these two actions cannot be removed from the equation regardless of the results.

How then can we describe an abduction as benevolent? The definition of the word ‘abduction’ and the very vivid and terrifying personal descriptions of an abduction simply do not allow the word ‘benevolent’ to be used. A ‘benevolent abduction’ is an oxymoron.

When the abduction is seen for what it is…a violation…then it is easier to see that it is both tragic and demeaning to the victims of the abduction to refer to them as ‘experiencers’. Is a woman who suffers a rape an ‘experiencer’? Is the child who is kidnapped by force in the middle of the night an ‘experiencer’? The term ‘experiencer’ diminishes the travesty and belittles the individuals who have suffered this unwanted event in their lives. Per this logic, a rapist is a ‘bringer of experiences’, and a kidnapper is a ‘facilitator of experiences’! This position far exceeds the logic of reasonable people.

In short, the label ‘experiencer’…is an insult.

But what about those who claim that their experience was ‘benevolent’… that their abduction not only resulted in enhanced powers but that the event itself was relatively gentle and almost serene? The explanation is both simple and extraordinarily devious. Throughout history, numerous groups have used the ‘judas goat’ as a means of survival. The practice uses live bait, a goat for example, to lure others into an unsuspecting trap. Secured, or in some fashion firmly controlled, the ‘judas goat’ is placed in such a way as to suggest to other goats that by joining the ‘Judas’, they will be safe if not better off. While I believe in the sincerity of those individuals who claim that their abduction was a ‘good thing’, I also believe that they have been or are being used to entice others into accepting the abduction experience.

Whitley Streiber, the well-known author of several books, among them the book, ‘Communion’, is an outspoken lecturer on abductions, arguing that the act of abduction is conducted for our sake, for Humankind’s benefit. And I believe that he truly believes, or at least he wants to believe, that the abductions are done for the good of Humankind! Yet what is remarkably revealing in his books is the fact that though he claims he loves his alien abductors, every time he comes into contact with them…he continues to react with tremendous fear! The question that immediately arises is: Why? Why if they are ‘good guys’ is he continually afraid of them? Is it, as he explains, a flaw within him…or is it much more likely that down deep inside he realizes that this is not a good thing…that the abduction is a violation of his existence?

My position is simple…abductions are not benevolent.

And if abductions are not benevolent, how can we say that the abductors are benevolent? If the abductors were truly benevolent, whoever ‘they’ are, then I suggest that these abductors would ask the women and men of this world to participate in this so-called ‘grand experiment’, whatever its purpose. And I am absolutely convinced that if men and women were approached and asked if they would participate in the creation of a new ‘Star Race’, or in an experiment that would enhance Man’s powers and abilities, I believe that there would be long, long lines of hundreds of thousands of people, women and men, who would immediately volunteer for this experiment.

I suggest that a request from the ‘abductors’ for our voluntary participation in their ‘abduction experiment’ would go a long way towards providing a strong and convincing argument that the ‘extra-terrestrials’, or whoever is conducting the abductions, are, indeed, benevolent.

Until this happens, however, the invasion of our homes and our privacy under the cover of darkness, the carrying off of our women and daughters, the brutal violation of their bodies, and the deliberate intervention into our free will cannot possibly be considered to be benevolent in any way.

‘All aliens are benevolent…’

If, as I hope I have shown, an ‘abduction’ and an ‘abductor’ are not and cannot…by definition…be benevolent, then at least some extra-terrestrials (if in fact extra-terrestrials are responsible for abductions), then at least some extra-terrestrials are not benevolent! And if some extra-terrestrials are not benevolent then again…by definition…all alien beings cannot be benevolent! It would seem to be virtually impossible and pointless…if not totally illogical…to try to claim that this is so.

Yet, this is precisely what the UFO/NA Community Church is trying to do. Sung from the highest rafters of the choir in the Church are the songs of the ‘Benevolent Star Brothers’. No exceptions are made, no qualifying terms are used…all ‘Star Brothers’ are benevolent! Once again, we must look at the words used. If just one ‘Star Brother’ is ‘bad’, then… by definition…all ‘Star Brothers’ cannot be good!

Hundreds of years ago in the Land of Human Beings, Native people stood on the shores of the ‘Great Waters’ at the edge of their world. Suddenly, in the hazy mists, a large dark object appeared. The Natives had never seen anything like it before. It floated on the water like a boat, but it was larger than any canoe that the Natives had ever seen…it was impossible for a boat that size to float they all said. No human being made this thing, they said. It was nothing that they could identify, it was an ‘Unidentified Floating Object’. Some of the Natives ran to the village to tell the chief and the others about their sighting. They were, of course, scoffed at in the beginning. But as more and more of the Natives at the beach came into the village claiming to have seen the thing, the chief had to investigate for himself.

As the villagers and the chief gathered at the beach to watch the giant U.F.O., smaller tiny ships left the huge ‘Mother Ship’. As the Natives continued to watch, the small ships made their way to the shore where the villagers stood.

Some of the villagers remembered the stories of the ‘Ancient Ones’, the stories that said that the ‘Star Brothers’ would someday return to the World of Human Beings. Perhaps these were the ‘Star Brothers’, some of them said. Others began to cry out immediately, to scared to think that they might be any enemy… to frightened to believe they would have to confront the powers behind the enormous UFO. They believed, then needed to believe…it had to be the ‘Star Brothers’…it had to be! Some of them ran back to the village to bring gifts for the returning ‘Divine Ones’. Everyone was excited, the ‘Day’ had finally come.

On the hillside, a ‘renegade’ stood overlooking the scene. He was not ready to blindly accept the benevolence or divinity of the ‘aliens’. He tried to caution the others, but the revelry and expectations were high. No one wanted to hear that these were not benevolent ‘Star Brothers’. No one wanted to have the dream shattered. The ‘renegade’ was dismissed, the warning was ignored.

When the ships landed, the occupants emerged…‘contact’ was made. The Natives could see that the beings looked sort of like them…but they were different. They were frail, fragile looking and very, very pale. They looked like the Human Beings of the village, but they were different somehow.

Though the first days were somewhat difficult, in short time, the Natives and the ‘aliens’ began to interact. The ‘aliens’ had come bearing gifts of great wonder and extremely advanced technology. Beads and pans, clothing and other items that could not have been made by Human Beings was given to the chief and the villagers. The ‘aliens’ promised to reveal the secrets of the ‘One’ and the Divine Cosmic Secrets of the Universe. They promised to give the Natives the knowledge and wisdom of a civilization far, far away where even the body itself could be healed. The Ways and the Science of the ‘aliens’ was beyond anything that the Human Beings could imagine. With such wondrous gifts and remarkable science, it was easy to see that the ‘renegade’ had been wrong. The ‘aliens’ were benevolent. The ‘renegade’ warning was hollow.

Things went well for some time, the Natives and the ‘benevolent aliens’ began to live together in relative harmony. And then, one day, one of the maidens disappeared. Then another…and another…and another. When the maidens returned, they told stories about being abducted in the middle of the night. Carried away against their will, their bodies were probed and prodded… and they were sexually molested. But, the maidens protested, their experience was not a bad thing. The ‘aliens’ told them that they were the subjects of a marvelous experiment designed to create a special ‘hybrid’ race of ‘alien’ and Native. The abducted maidens were the ‘special ones’ who would bear the children of the ‘benevolent Star Brothers’.

The ‘renegade’ spoke out again…and once again, his warnings went unheeded. The elders of the tribes immediately protested the warnings. The ‘Star Brothers’ want nothing but the best for the Human Beings, they said. We must do nothing to anger the ‘Star Brothers’, they said. The maidens must have agreed to the experiment, they said. The ‘Star Brothers’ were here for humans, they argued…not for themselves.

And all was well…for a while.

Until the day that the ‘Star Brothers’ wanted…more. More food, more land, more of everything. It was their ‘Manifest Destiny’ to live in the Land of the Human Beings, they said. It was the ‘Star Brothers’ who were the ‘Chosen Ones’ of God, they said. It was the Humans who were savages and needed the ‘Star Brothers’ to save them, they said. It was the Humans who were the ‘sinners’, the ‘Star Brothers’ said. And so, the ‘Star Brothers’ began. Hundreds of years later, the Natives are nearly gone, nearly decimated by the ‘Manifest Destiny’ of the ‘Star Brothers’, virtually destroyed because the Natives did not measure up to the standards of the ‘Star Brothers’.

Native America is the prime example of what happens to a society that blindly accepts the ‘benevolence’ of ‘star beings’. Today, the citizens of this world are the new ‘Natives’. Will you accept blindly the ‘benevolence’ of the ‘Star Brothers’? Will you accept without question that the ‘Star Brothers’ spoken of by the UFO/NA Church are kind and gentle? Will you accept every stranger at your door as a gentle and benevolent visitor? Will you accept that your sisters and daughters safe with every stranger that they meet?

I am foolish enough to care about the women and children of our world, and to emphatically say…NO! I say we let these ‘extra-terrestrials’, these so-called ‘Star Brothers’ earn our trust. If the UFO/New Age people are right, that the ‘Star Brothers’ are benevolent…then let the ‘Star Brothers’ perform their acts of benevolence…on a public stage…in front of everyone, where the most hardened skeptic can see for himself the wondrous caring ways of these ‘Star Brothers’. Until then, let us not blindly accept the ‘benevolent’ labels bandied about by the UFO/NA Community Church Elders.

And contrary to the very vocal claims of the witnesses who clamor that extra-terrestrials are benevolent, there are just as many witnesses…if not more, who do not appear at UFO/New Age conferences and who do not bring any attention to themselves, and who insist, with as much conviction, that these very same ET’s are not benevolent! Anyone who has attended a conference and listened to the ‘benevolent alien’ dogma issuing forth from the UFO/NA speakers knows that to speak out against or to challenge the ‘wondrous Star Brother’ position will only serve to bring down the wrath of the Church Elders and cause them to be labeled as ‘blasphemers’ or ‘heretics’…part of the Great UFO Cover-up as it were. No one speaks out against the Star Brothers!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I find myself in a very lonely position. While I would like to believe that there are ‘benevolent Star Brothers’ out there…or that they are already here …there is no clear evidence to support this position! Not one act of extra-terrestrial benevolence has ever been witnessed on a public stage anywhere in the world! Sightings of what may very well be extra-terrestrial craft have occurred in the presence of thousands of witnesses, yet not once have any of these sightings ever resulted in anything that could remotely be called benevolent. In fact, these sightings have been conspicuously absent of any action which could even be labeled ‘kind’.

Why? Why expend such an effort to contact dozens of self-proclaimed ‘special contactee’ UFO/NA speakers when just one appearance over a major city would result in thousands, if not millions of contacts? Such an appearance could not possibly be covered-up by the military or the government? But no, the UFO/NA Church Elders would have us believe that the Star Brothers find it more efficient and more meaningful to contact just one individual at a time. Somehow, this author fails to see the logic behind this argument.

The portrayal of extra-terrestrials as benevolent, when the evidence for this position is non-existent…is dangerous!! It is vital that the UFO/New Age community, if it truly seeks the truth, present an objective and not a hopeful or wishful position, on our ‘visitors from outer space’.

Please also note that I am not saying that the ‘Star Brothers’ are ‘bad’ guys, that they are malevolent…I am not! What I am saying is that we have no clear evidence to blindly accept that they are benevolent! If we err, let us err in the favor of caution…and our wives and daughers.

‘Star Brother Saviors’

Running through the hallowed hymnal works of the Church are profound and hopeful claims that our ‘Star Brothers’ have already arrived, or that they are about to arrive, in order to guide us, to help us and to rescue us from ourselves. They are in fact, according to some UFO/New Age Community Church Elders, our saviors.

Whether we are self-destructing by the polluting of our planet, or whether we are killing ourselves through the toxic additives in our food, or even if through an inevitable atomic war that will end the world as we know it (this scenario has fallen by the wayside since the Russian ‘evil empire’ has collapsed)...regardless of our predicament, the ‘Star Brothers’ are poised to save us. We need not even do anything, we need not answer for our sins, we need not earn our place in the stars. By simply being ourselves, we shall achieve our rightful place through the intervention of our ‘Brothers’.

What kind of nonsense is this?

What kind of ‘Star Beings’ would welcome us, if are we destroying our own world, onto their world and into their lives? What kind of ‘Star Beings’ could possibly want self-destructive, self-serving, self-centered, selfish humans on their world? Who would want Human beings who kill their neighbors and their friends just because they do not practice the same faith, follow the same politics or who are simply of a different race…on their world? What ‘Star Race’ could possibly want…us?

I suggest that only a race of ‘Star Beings’ that finds merit in these kinds of attributes would welcome us openly. They would, in short, have to be just like us! And since we are guilty of astounding sins, plentiful in quantity and quality, then I hardly believe that a race of ‘Star Beings’ with the same attributes and same destructive ways can hardly be considered to be the ‘benevolent Star Brothers’ so highly praised by the UFO/NA Church.

And why would we seek salvation from a group that is exactly like us anyway? Would we not be better off by simply remaining here and cleaning up our act? Joining them in the stars, if they are like us, simply means that we will end up at the same point of self-destruction some day in the future…only this time, we will find ourselves on a far distant planet. The inevitable self-imposed doom is merely being postponed.

‘You are ‘special’, you deserve salvation…’

As a corollary of the ‘Star Brother Savior’ dogma is the ‘you are special’ proclamation. According to this principle, by simply existing, by simply being, we human beings are worthy of salvation, we deserve to be spared. This extremely presumptuous argument is made by those individuals who do not feel a need to earn their salvation…they simply want to reap the benefits. The Messiahs of history have done their work and made their sacrifice, now give the rewards to the masses. Though I shall touch on this later, I make a brief observation here:

Salvation is not deserved…salvation is earned!

Wisdom is not bestowed…wisdom is earned!

Love cannot be expected or demanded…it must be earned!

‘You agreed to it in a past life…’

‘You must have needed the lesson…’

The arrogance of these two UFO/New Age Community Church maxims is beyond belief. With no evidence or documentation to back up either of these two statements, the victim of an offense is made to accept responsibility for the offense itself! If we ignore the philosophical for just a moment, the statement ‘You needed the lesson’ allows the rapist to become a teacher, the murderer to become an instrument of learning, and the torturer to become the harbinger of enlightenment. In essence, these two statements are justification for criminal outrages…and they punish the victims.

According to the UFO/NA Church Elders, and anyone who continues to loudly proclaim these totally unsubstantiated and so-called ‘Divinely’ inspired precepts, the victims are guilty (‘you agreed to it’) and deserving of the rape or violation (‘you must have needed the lesson’). To those who say that God told them that we victims ‘agreed to this fate’ or ‘needed this lesson’, then I say to you here and now: there are Aborigines, Native Americans, Jews…women, children and the poor…who have suffered cruelty and horror that can say, with as much conviction as you seem to have…keep your God! We do not wish to join you in the celebration of a Deity who faults the victim for the crimes of the perpetrator!

This very dangerous position, that the victim is responsible for the crime, makes earth-born or extra-terrestrial dictators and rapists our future ‘teachers’ …and the deliverers of Humankind!

May I suggest that the following maxims are much more humane and more compassionate, indeed, even more sensible…

‘The criminal is responsible for his behavior…not the victim!’

…and as for the ‘needs’ and ‘lessons’ of the victim…

‘I need a lesson on how to love and be compassionate…’

‘I do not need a lesson in how to be raped,

how to die, or how to endure terror!’

Ladies and Gentlemen, I am saying that the victim is not guilty! And if this position is an act of blasphemy…if this position is an act of sacrilege, then I shall wear that crown of thorns with pride!

The victim did not ‘create’ the horror…the victim did not ‘draw’ the terror… and the victim did not ‘manifest’ the crime…the criminal is guilty, the rapist is guilty, the offender is guilty… and if the so-called ‘Star Brothers’ are conducting abductions against the will of their victims…then they too are guilty!

Following are further examples of the UFO/New Age ‘dogma’ that I find both disturbing and, in most cases, contradictory…

‘I believe…’

Webster’s Third New International Dictionary defines ‘belief’ as:

believe - 1. a state or habit of mind in which trust, confidence or reliance is placed in some person or thing: faith

To believe is to assume a state of mind based on trust. A belief is not, therefore, based on Truth…it is based on unsubstantiated trust. Whether facts are present or not, whether Truth is present or not, is basically irrelevant. No evidence or proof is needed to believe in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny, only trust in the stories and legends of their existence.

If a person chooses to believe in Santa Claus, he or she has established a ‘Personal Truth’, not ‘THE Truth’. ‘THE Truth’ is not subject to perspective and does not change as ‘Personal Truths’ can, and often do. ‘THE Truth’ is not dependent upon the ‘specialness’ of its messenger, nor is it diminished when spoken by an ‘evil’ man, or enhanced when spoken by a ‘good’ man. You may not like ‘THE Truth’, you may even hate ‘THE Truth’, you may even try to turn ‘THE Truth’ into something else…but the ‘Truth’, very simply…just is!

The Earth revolves around the Sun, that is ‘THE Truth’. In the Middle Ages, however, the Holy Roman Church dictated that the Sun revolved around the Earth. Copernicus and Galileo were punished, in fact, for trying to express ‘THE Truth’. The beliefs of the Church could not change this fact, faith could not change this fact…the Church could not change this fact! ‘THE Truth’, therefore, is not founded on belief! ‘Truth’ is based…on fact!

‘I believe’ does not express ‘THE Truth’, it expresses the perspective of the individual making the statement.

‘Man should be in balance…’

Webster’s Third New International Dictionary defines ‘balance’ as:

balance - 1.a : to set off (off-set) : to counter-balance 1.b : to make equal or equalize in weight, number, form or proportion 2. : to bring to a point of ‘equipoise’ [Author’s note - ‘equipoise’ is a state of equilibrium or balance]

If, as the UFO/NA Church proclaims, ‘Man should be in balance’, then by definition, Man should strive to ‘make equal’ or ‘to bring to equipoise’ both Love and Hate! A life full of ‘Love’ only…by definition…is NOT in balance! To make the claim that Man must be in balance, the UFO/NA Church is…by definition… claiming that Man must bring equal amounts of Love and Hate into his life! Man must bring into equipoise, the forces of Love and Hate within him!

A person who claims he does not hate anyone or anything which harms any of his loved ones…does not truly love them! The more you love someone, the more you hate anything which could hurt them.

[Author’s note: The opposite of love is not indifference! Love is an action, indifference is a non-action! An action demands an action as it’s opposite! The opposite of love (an action)…is hate (another action)!]

This Author is not an advocate of ‘balance’. Balance is neutrality and is a place void of definitive emotion. I personally do not advocate ‘balance’, I prefer complete and totally unbalanced…passion.

‘Man should be in harmony…’

Actually, the complete UFO/NA maxim is ‘Man should be in harmony with Nature’…or…’Man should be in harmony with the Universe’.

Webster’s Third New International Dictionary defines ‘harmony’ as:

harmony - [The first two definitions apply to music] 3. : combination into a consistent whole: integration 4. a : correspondence, agreement, accord

According to the definition then, ‘Man should be in harmony with Nature’ actually means ‘Man should be part of a consistent whole with Nature’ or ‘Man should be in accord with Nature’. But ‘consistent’ means:

(archaic) marked by unchanging position 2. a : marked by harmony, regularity, or steady continuity throughout: showing no significant change, unevenness, or contradiction 2. b : marked by agreement and concord 2. c : showing steady regular conformity to character, profession, belief or custom

Note that the above definitions speak to evenness, continuity…no change in status and essentially, conformity and maintaining the ‘norm’. In short, to be consistent with Nature’ means that you are not different, you do not create change, you do not make Nature uneven…or in essence, you conform! To be ‘In harmony with Nature or the Universe’ suggests that you do not ‘rock the boat’, you do not cause ‘unevenness’, you conform.

This Author is not an advocate of ‘harmony’. Harmony imposes a sense of sameness, conformity and consistency. I am, therefore, not an advocate of ‘harmony’. I prefer difference and variety in the world and I prefer the challenge of the unknown and the rollercoaster of new discoveries.

‘To evolve, simplify your life…’

‘Spiritual Evolution is the key…’

Merriam Webster’s Dictionary defines ‘evolution’ as:

evolution - 1. a : a series of related changes in a certain direction: organic development: unfolding, movement, transformation 1. b : a process of con-tinuous change from a lower, simpler, or worse condition to a higher, more complex, or better state

It is important to repeat the crux of the definition: ‘A continuous change… from a simpler condition…to a more complex condition’! By definition, ‘evolution’ requires a change towards a complex state, not a simple state! If a man is truly evolving physically, he is becoming a more complex human being! If a woman is truly evolving ‘spiritually’, then she is moving towards a more complex spiritual existence! By definition, moving towards a ‘simpler’ life, towards simplicity…is actually…‘de-evolution! Anyone who suggests that a ‘simpler existence’ leads to the evolution of the ‘spirit’ or ‘physical existence’ is ignoring the definition of evolution!

‘Wrap yourself in Love and Light…’

The message of the UFO/New Age Community Church is, in short, a message of ‘Love and Light’. ‘Love and Light’ is the answer, ‘Love and Light’ is the panacea, the solution to all problems, ‘Love and Light’ is the end-all.

‘Wrap yourself in Love and Light’ is the same kind of advice that Native Americans were given by some Elders when the onslaught of the Europeans began. ‘Wrap yourself in Love and Light’ is the same kind of advice that Jewish communities received from some of their Elders when the Third Reich began its rise in Germany. And it is exactly the same kind of message that Aborigines got from some of their Elders when the English landed on the shores of Australia.

If the advice to ‘Wrap yourself in the Light’ worked, why were the Native Americans nearly decimated? [Author’s note: Curiously, it is Native American ‘spirituality’ that is one of the staples of the UFO/NA Community Church…yet the UFO/NA elders seem to have forgotten that Native American spirituality did not save the Native Americans.]

If the advice ‘Wrap yourself in the Light’ worked, why are nuns and priests the first to suffer horrible deaths, mutilations, rapes and torture on the front lines of any war? Have they not dedicated their lives to ‘Love and Light’? Have they not had the training and discipline? Did they not learn it correctly? Or are they just not good at it? Or is it remotely possible that the advice did not work?

If ‘Wrap yourself in Love and Light’ worked, why are babies and infants who are but days old, raped, mutilated and murdered? Are they not the closest to being naturally ‘Wrapped in the Light’ because of their innocence and purity? Or shall we accept that babies and infants are, in fact, born in ‘original sin’?

If ‘Wrap yourself in Love and Light’ worked, John the Baptist would not have been beheaded, the Saints would not have died, Joan of Arc would not have been burned at the stake, and thousands of ‘Light Workers’ would still be with us today.

‘Wrap yourself in Love and Light’ does not work. If ‘Wrap yourself in Love and Light’ worked, you should be able to cross the street against the light, and not get hit by a car…every single time you try! But no UFO/NA ‘Love and Light’ expert ever crosses against the light. Not one single UFO/NA ‘Love and Light’ expert walks in a dark alley in the ghetto at midnight and not a single UFO/NA expert, or experts, can stop the onslaught of crime, drugs, war and murder.

If ‘Love and Light’ worked, militaries and police forces would have already been using them. If ‘Love and Light’ worked, governments and institutions would have already used them. If ‘Love and Light’ worked…we would not be in the mess that we are in now.

History has shown that ‘Wrapping yourself in Love and Light’ does not work. Societies who meet violence with ‘Love and Light’ are destroyed. Men and women who meet murderers and rapists with ‘Love and Light’ are attacked and killed. In one historical era after another, not one single ‘Love and Light’ community has ever survived for long when confronted by violence.

In ancient Egypt, the word for ‘Light’ was ‘SA’, but its original meaning was not ‘Light’ but rather ‘enlightenment’. What the ‘Ancient Ones’ actually meant was: ‘Wrap yourself in Enlightenment!’ In other words, in order to protect yourself, ‘Wrap yourself in Wisdom’, ‘Wrap yourself in Knowledge’.

It is sad that the UFO/NA Community Church has not done its homework.

The advice that ‘Wrapping yourself in Love and Light’ is the end-all solution is misleading, gives rise to false hopes and provides victims for the criminal mind.

The false revelry and charade of security, the trivializing of other people’s woes and the dismissal of grave situations by the UFO/NA Church followers only serves to add to the image this group has as ‘airy-fairies’. How can anyone take the UFO/NA community seriously if they continue to avoid being serious? The advice to ‘Wrap yourself in Love and Light’ does not work, it is denigrating…and it is also very dangerous.

‘Love is the answer…’

It is the position of this Author that Love makes you ‘stupid’. By definition, ‘stupid’ is when you know better…but you do it anyway. ‘Ignorant’ is when you just don’t know any better.

Love makes you do what you know you shouldn’t. You know you should not go out with him, but you do it anyway. Love makes you stay out when you should go home, Love makes you go out on the town when you should have stayed at home in your sick bed. Love makes you go out with the one person in the room that you know you shouldn’t go out with, and Love makes you act like a fool even though you know you are an intelligent human being.

Love is stupid…Love is irrational…Love is illogical and Love does not make any sense! Love, purely and simply…is stupid!

If you fall in Love, you will not make intelligent decisions. Your decisions will be biased in favor of your loved ones. If you fall in Love, you will not be rational, you will bring ‘crazy’ in-laws into your life when you know you don’t want anything to do with them. If you fall in Love, your friends and family will be absolutely certain that you have left your senses.

And should argument be disturbing, then take a moment and try to argue the other side of the coin: Love makes you rational…Love makes you logical… and Love makes you act smart!

But let us reflect on this thought for just a moment. If God is pure Love, and as I have suggested, Love is stupid… then God must be…that’s correct! God must be…pure stupidity! And if God is pure Love and Love is irrational, then God is…pure irrationality! And if Love is illogical and God is pure Love, then God is…pure illogicality!

Is God stupid, irrational and illogical? Read any Holy Scripture and then decide for yourself. If God does, indeed, love everybody, and there are some very evil, nasty, rotten people out there, if God does love everybody…then God is stupid, God is irrational and God is illogical!

[Author’s note: God is not going to punish me for this observation. I am using the gifts I was given, my mind, my heart, and my spirit! God will not take me to task for using his gifts, God will take me to task for not using them!]

‘Earth Changes in the year 2000’

Literally hundreds of UFO/New Age Community Church elders, prophets, channelers, mediums, fortune tellers and other assorted pseudo-psychics continue to predict ‘earth changes’ in the year 2000…that Jesus will return…that the benevolent ET’s will come to save us…that all of these wondrous changes will occur in the year 2000. All of these pseudo-prophets are supported by an equally large group of UFO/NA lecturers and speakers who have Spirit Guides, ET contacts and Angel Guardians who have revealed the same information… the Earth is facing dramatic changes in the year 2000.

It is the consensus of Biblical scholars and experts that the birth of Jesus occurred in the year 7 or 8 BC. In other words, Jesus was born…seven years before the birth of Christ! Besides the obvious if not humorous contradiction, this simple fact means that our calendar is wrong…by at least seven years! This is not the year 1997…it is actually the year 2004! The year 2000 has, in reality, come and gone!

The hundreds of UFO/New Age Community Church elders, prophets, channelers, mediums, fortune tellers and pseudo-psychics…the speakers with ET contacts, Angel Guardians and Spirit Guides…are all wrong!

’Dis-information…’

The field of UFOlogy is a dangerous place to be. UFO researchers run the risk of falling into elaborate traps intended to distract them and ultimately to discredit them. The government, the intelligence community, the military…and other powers…have a vested interest in deceiving UFOlogists. UFO gatherings are a perfect forum for speakers who wish to spread either dis-information or mis-information. UFO conferences are a perfect place for distractions and subterfuge…for distortion and misrepresentation.

Serious UFO researchers at UFO/New Age conferences are surrounded

by the ‘not-so-serious’ and the ludicrous. Lecturers with important information are oftentimes buried by the avalanche of pseudo-gurus, messiahs and ‘saviors’. Frustration, betrayal, accusation and criticism are part of the day to day life on the UFO circuit. I know, I spent a year on the circuit, I made 48 appearances in 52 weeks. What I found is exactly what Mr. Simpson observes as a result of his hoax (described at the beginning of this paper):

‘It’s like a religious belief for them, they don’t actually want to find out anything that will destroy their belief!’

A community that displays any sort of religious fervor eventually develops a ‘dogma’, a position that is generally unyielding, regardless of the logic or the sensibilities of those positions. I suggest, with as much respect as is due, that the UFO community, with its attending New Age clergy, has become possessed of just such a dogma. And this is a travesty. The attendees at UFO/NA events go to hear the latest research and the latest findings. A significant amount of the time…they are disappointed.

It is a marvel how many members of the UFO/New Age Community Church are ex-intelligence agents, ex-military officers and ex-agents of the many branches of service and government. While it may be argued that these experts were privy to secrets that the government and militaries want to keep hidden, it is just as plausible that they are bearers of disinformation and misinformation, either knowingly or unknowingly.

I am a nobody…I have no credibility. I have no career or reputation which I wish to stand on. I shall allow my work to speak for itself.

I suggest that we should never trust the messenger…we should look to the message itself. Truth is Truth and stands alone…it does not depend on the credibility of the bearer.

‘There is no Devil, only the lack of good…’

I digress here for just a moment in order to dispel the argument presented by many UFO/New Age lecturers and speakers who proclaim that the Devil, or Satan, does not exist, that there is no evil…that there is only the lack of good, or presumably by extension, that there is only the lack of God.

The Hebrew word Satan, or Greek satanas, basically means ‘opponent’:

We note that the Strong’s Concordance, one of the established Biblical reference works, shows that the Hebrew Satan is used 18 times in the Bible, and the Greek satanas is used 34 times. When taken together, the term Satan is used 52 times. In fact, here are some of the Biblical quotes where God himself speaks to Satan, or the Devil:

It is worth noting here that God himself, in the Old Testament, not only acknowledges the existence of Satan, but He also speaks to him. Shall we assume that the New Age pseudo-Biblical experts know better than God? That God must have been fooled, while these experts were not? Or are the pseudo- experts saying that the Old Testament is wrong?

But let us, for a moment, grant these UFO/NA ‘experts’ that the Old Testament is wrong…but if that is true, what then shall we make of these New Testament quotes where Jesus speaks to Satan, or the Devil:

Are we to assume that these New Age pseudo-Biblical ‘experts’ also

know better than Jesus? That Jesus as well was fooled by the Devil? And if we grant that these New Age ‘experts’ are right, then we can only conclude that the New Testament must also be wrong! The disciples of Jesus were seriously in error in their descriptions of the words of the Son of God!

But the errors do not stop there!

self-appointed New Age experts! These words ring solemnly throughout the hallowed halls of the New Age Community Church…’There is no Devil, there is only the lack of good’. Let us lament the delusions of God and Jesus who did not see the Devil, but who actually saw…the lack of good!

Woe unto those who have chosen to take the words of the Bible, the words of God, the words of Jesus and the words of the disciples about the existence of Satan! Praise be to the New Age Community Church! God was fooled, Jesus was fooled, early Church fathers were fooled, the disciples were fooled...but they were not fooled!

‘The UFO/New Age Community Church Ex-communicates a renegade heretic’
