4,000 Year Old UFO Found in Grand Canyon

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - A team of experts called in to examine strange debris at the bottom of the Grand Canyon discovered the wreckage of a UFO that crashed a mind-boggling 4,000 years ago!

The scientists, members of a secret joint military task force on UFOs, inspected the spherical craft and found it to be in good condition despite its rough landing and incredible age.

The relic is made of an unknown metallic substance and emits low levels of radiation, according to leaks from highly placed sources. It was immediately removed from the site and is now in a secret location.

"My contacts tell me this craft is definitely of extraterrestrial origin and without a doubt carried a crew of 12 to 20 individuals," said Dr. Henry Leaumont, a California-based astronomer who contacted Weekly World News after he was shown secret Air Force documents relating to the find. "Carbon dating shows it crash-landed at the base of the canyon around 2,000 B.C.

"Cabin features suggest that the crew members were much like humans, although significantly smaller. They apparently breathed oxygen, guided their atom-powered craft with a magnetic steering system and carried supplies of food and water onboard."

According to reports filed by the scientific team, the spacecraft was lodged in limestone rubble at the base of the canyon not far from an area called Comanche Point.

A thorough inspection of the landing site revealed that the spacecraft's occupants left their ship and lived near it for a number of years after it crashed.

This impression is confirmed by Indian cave paintings made at the time, the Air Force secret documents attest. The paintings, found near the crash site, show strange humanoid creatures with bulbous heads. Experts believe these creatures were the aliens who arrived in the ancient UFO.

"The ship is made of an extremely light metallic fiber," Dr. Leaumont said. "It measures about 50 feet across at its widest point and it is 102 feet long. It's an incredible find - the latest in a series of artifacts collected secretly and hidden away in government UFO study centers.

"There's a lot of official concern about keeping this latest discovery a secret. They've been covering up the truth about alien contacts for 50 years and they're not going to stop now. They want to study this thing, but they want it only for themselves.

"Who knows what scientists might learn if they'd share this priceless find with the rest of the world?"

Notes about different races of aliens from an alien's perspective.

There are countless types of extraterrestrials encountered by individuals all over the world, in all walks of life. Below are listed four of the most prevalent groups, with information on their origins and motives for visiting planet Earth at this time.

ZETA RETICULI:

These beings range from three to seven feet tall, however, most are around four feet. The taller ones, including those reported as overseeing abduction experiences, are known as the Elders. The Zeta Reticuli were originally quite tall, but with time manipulated themselves to become very short - in adapting to an existence within caverns deep beneath the surface of their severely polluted homeworld.

There are many subgroups of Reticuli interacting with Earth at this time, not all with the same agenda. All look more or less alike: oversized cranium, slender build, vestigial nose, mouth and ears, large wraparound, black eyes, hairless, with a pale grey, beige, blue, purple, green, or chalk white complexion. They operate with a hive consciousness, but not every group has the same philosophical outlook.

Their planet was once the home of two conflicting societies. One was of direct descent from Lyra and followed the Lyran tenet of service-to- all. The other was descended from Vega and followed the Vegan tenet of service-to-self. A group belonging to the latter, involved with Earth, is primarily interacting with the Secret Government (also called the Illuminati and Global Elite). They are also one of the races responsible for the widespread cattle mutilations, as they are conducting genetic experiments in an attempt to rescue their dying species. The beige- skinned Zetas carry a large percentage of Vegan genetics in their biological systems; for the Vegan race of humans eventually became dark-skinned due to the magnitude of their sun - also called Alpha Lyrae.

Another group of Reticuli, who follow the Lyran tenet of service-to-all, is also deeply involved with Earth. A massive fleet of them came to the planet shortly after the turn of the century, and is still here. Like their rogue brethren, they are conducting a genetic research project with the aim of revitalising their dying species. However, the benefits are not intended to be exclusive to them alone - they are creating a human- Reticulan crossrace incorporating the best traits from both species. They value our extreme individuality and offer us the gift of their extraordinary oneness. It shall be a magnificent integration of two races from either extremes of the spectrum. The created hybrid race later becomes known as the Essassani.

Most UFO abductees involved in the Essassani Project have strong personal links with the Zeta Reticuli, as many have had incarnations on the Zeta planet. When the hybridisation has been perfected, certain humans will be given the opportunity to relocate to the future Essassani homeworld; primarily to act as caretakers, then later incarnate into the new race.

REPTOIDS:

There are many races belonging to the reptilian lifestream, a group far older than that of the human. The reptoids commonly witnessed by Earthlings, come from the Draco constellation; about eight feet tall, covered in lizard scales, with ferocious talons. They are quite a self-involved race, only interested in space exploration for the purpose of conquest. Many wars have been waged between the Draconians and humanoids in the past; the latter often becoming slave races to the former. Reptoids tend to be great warriors, owing to their physical strength, natural body armour, and firey temper.

The Draconians do not maintain diplomatic relations with many planets, but are in contact with several other reptilian races. They are also in contact with the Global Elite, for the prospect of using this planet as a slave and food colony attracts them here. They have no respect for humans and would have invaded long ago if we did not have such outstanding support from our benign space brothers.

NORDIC HUMANS: The ancestors of humanity were Nordic in appearance, and those of red, brown and yellow skin evolved these distinctions as a result of environmental differences experienced by each respective colony. The black race is indigenous to Earth, and developed to Homo sapiens through the periodical insertion of DNA into their biological systems by other humanoid races (of Lyran descent).

Humanity is now an intergalactic species and its seed is spread via the system of wormhole transit routes which permeate the cosmos. One major wormhole portal exists in the constellation of Lyra. Most humanoids inhabiting our corner of the galaxy are descendants of the seven-feet-tall Nordics which came through this portal many millions of years ago. (Earth humans have become shorter as a result of a dramatic increase in the planet's level of gravity, since the end of Atlantis.)

This group primarily colonised the stars of the Lyra system, and later the Pleiades. A party from the Vega colony shortly settled in the Sirius system. These Sirian humans are usually dark-haired, with white skins because they left Vega at a time before the Vegans evolved into a dark- skinned race. The latter, including an outpost in the Pleiades, were responsible for a colony in the northern section of Atlantis. The descendants of this settlement are now known as the Native Americans.

The colonies of Vega and Sirius have long since evolved beyond the philosophy of self-aggrandisement; however, there are several renegade groups active which still retain the old values. Many of these are working with the secret government, and issue from the past.

The Zetas' world once occupied the Lyra system. However, the planet's space-time envelope became distorted as a result of a nuclear holocaust, causing it to slip through a wormhole into the binary system of Zeta Reticuli; part of the Reticulum constellation. (Reticulum means The Net - named as such because it "caught" the Zetas' planet?) Their world is now the third planet around Reticuli 2. Many colonies have been established on other planets, primarily in the systems of Reticulum, Orion, and Sirius. A group of self-serving Reticuli has long been established on the fourth planet around Reticuli 2. Another on a planet around Alpha Orionis, also called Betelgeuse.

MONGOLOID HUMANS: The Oriental races are descendants of the colony from Vega which populated the constellation of Orion. This colony developed into the form we call Mongoloid or Oriental, as a result of their Orion environment; mainly planets in the vicinity of Orion's Belt. Their height ranges from five to seven feet tall, and skin tone varies depending on the magnitude of their particular sun.

At one time, most stars in the Orion constellation were controlled by the oppressive Orion Empire, whose headquarters was located in the Orion Nebula. Now only a handful of planets are controlled by the Empire, and it is no longer a major threat to outside systems. The clandestine Illuminati has strong connections with the Orion Empire (as it is a 'founder-member'), and the latter has been known to terrorise Earth humans in the guise of the Men in Black (note the Oriental features described by many witnesses). Now this form is used by several groups, not necessarily with malevolent intent.

It should be remembered that not all UFO visitors are coming from our present time. Most are capable of time travel, and indeed a lot of the primitive, self-serving groups are from the past. We are also being visited by humans from the future of our own planet, and many others in this area of the galaxy. Many groups work together. For example, the benign Zetas frequently employ Nordics in the capacity of empaths; to assist them in understanding our complex personalities.

It is quite normal for souls to have incarnations on an infinite series of planets, and many of us have at one time been members of some of these visiting civilisations; especially those descended from Lyra. Often we interchange between races: we may have incarnated on the astral Venus after having spent time in Zeta Reticuli. All of us are no different spiritually, and truly all racial groups are working as a symbiotic whole. We are each a teacher to others, and the major lesson all are learning is that advancement can only take place through integration.

RETICULAN IMPLANT TECHNOLOGY

Why we are implanted and what is involved.

The locator implant is to locate you and monitor your location. This can be placed anywhere in the body providing it is safe; normally it is within the skull. It can also be, and is, inserted into the nose and the ear, sometimes into the leg with like a pressure injection.

This device is quite simple, normally silicon - all it does is emit a vibration. When your next experience is due it will emit a frequency, and the ship closest to your area will home in on this signal. Its computer will receive your catalogue number and personal file: this is downloaded into the consciousness of the workers on board - all occupants of the ship. Therefore, they can appear to know you very well, because the downloaded information is the sum of all interactions with you; conducted by all beings involved in this programme. Although there is one particular being which has a special bond with you - one of the tall beings. These beings are normally non-physical, they move in and out of physicality.

The tall beings, as you call them, normally teleport from ship to ship. If you are due to be received into a ship, they will teleport themselves into that ship and await your arrival. Otherwise, in some cases, they will actually enter the place where you are to be taken from and travel to the ship with you. Or, in other cases, they will be on board a larger ship and the smaller ship in your area will take you to them in that larger ship.

These beings are also connected with you in a guiding capacity. Being primarily of a non-physical existence, their relationship with you is at first spiritual - you will probably have had a past-life connection.

Another implant is one that is inserted into the eye. This is extremely minute, very much smaller than a pin head. The purpose of this one is to monitor the activity in the eye, because we are researching your eye as it is different to ours. We would like to incorporate these components into a hybrid offspring. It records the activity in your eye, and how this is linked with your brain - the exchange of data. This implant is inserted with a laser beam.

The implant commonly placed in the nasal cavity is for communication. A communication facilitator, also to facilitate the reactivation of your pineal gland. We also place the locator implant in this area. Occasionally, the communication implant may make its way deeper into the brain, and when this occurs it is to manipulate your neurochemical activity somewhat, with the aim of controlling your memory of these experiences. Primarily we use a hypnotic suggestion that you do not remember.

Tne purpose of an implant placed in the ear is to reactivate your pituitary gland; where this implant will make its way deeper into your brain. Also, in cases where the individual is difficult to control in an altered state, this implant will emit a vibrational tone that will help alter their brainwave patterns. This implant can be used to monitor your hearing as well.

There are many different kinds of implants inserted into these places. In addition to physical implants there are many electronic or non- physical devices, which are implanted into your various bodies - especially the emotional body. Also, we have technology where we can insert an implant into your body without physical apparatus. It is, to use that word, 'apported' there - although this technology is only used by a minority of groups. There is also technology to repair damage caused by the insertion of implants - this again is not used by all groups.

If you are in the presence of another 'abductee', a vibrational resonance may occur between your implants - similar to interference from a radio station which is close to your broadcast frequency.

One purpose of a brain implant is to monitor your neurochemical activity and secretions. Other implants are used to stimulate your sexuality and monitor the activity in a situation with another partner.

We also inject you with various liquids which are to do with refining your cellular structure, curing certain illnesses and improving your compatibility with us. There is a gelatinous substance which we occasionally put over your skin - this is a cleansing agent and removes all germs. We also have electromagnetic devices which can cleanse your auric field for the time being.

There is much technology... we even have devices which we implant into you, not all the time, but these can assist in altering your vibrational rate during the transportation process. There are also implants that are attached to the heart area, although these are quite rare. In the case of a defective heart, these may be used.

An implant which is inserted into the nasal cavity can also be used as a link with our computer systems, where an exchange of data can be accomplished.

Our implants are mostly of an organic tissue. We have technology similar to your microchips, but this employs the organic tissue, which is redesigned at the atomic level. So, in appearance it would be a small chip of silicon. Other designs include the small metallic ball that you know of.

In my articles I have discussed ethically advanced extraterrestrial races and degenerate devolving races but have not paid much attention to races that are basically indifferent and who deal with us like we deal with animals. I was rummaging through some files from years ago in my barn to see what the rats had not eaten in regards to Operation Right To Know history. I just happened on an article that I had been wanting to locate for years. It was an interview that was published July 9, 1989 in what I think was Tim Beckley's UFO Universe Magazine. All I have is a photocopy of the article called, Blowing The Whistle On The Government's UFO Coverup. I have not been able to find this article on theInternet.

The interview is with a three star general and this general is presenting some very detailed documentation and pictures to the person doing the interview. The general is only allowing the interviewer to see the pictures and secret reports, then plans to put the documentation back in a file before it is discovered. This is just one of those cases that falls through the cracks and is forgotten. The general had not been interested in the subject but the interviewer had got him interested and he made inquiries and pulled in some favors which blew his mind. Then his superiors wanted him to be part of the awareness program and he refused. He got into a lot of trouble and decided to retire.

Here is a little of the specific information in the article. The general says, "There have been several crashes of UFO's over the years. From all documentation and information available that I have seen with my own eyes as well as the physical evidence, this is in answer to your questions. 1. The aliens really do not have any sort of "invasion" planned for this planet. Aliens have visited this planet off and on for thousands of years. (The following comments should be of interest to Robert Collins if he is unaware of this article. There is some very specific information presented and I wonder how it compares to Bob's stories?)The general says, " Our U.S. guest is over 300 years old. There are both "good and bad" aliens just as there are good and bad humans. They are not all that different from us. The aliens utilize around 55% of their brain capacity or ability. The aliens do have DNA, just as we do. The alien which is the guest of the U.S. Government is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 96 pounds. Large head (no hair) large slanted eyes. Some of the aliens abilities include moderate telepathy and telekinesis.

The purpose of alien visitation to this planet is one of curiosity and scientific research. Not world domination as some wouldhave you believe. Cattle and humans have been used in alien and U.S. research for various biological applications. Most humans are not hurt in this research and experimentation. Some however have died due to complications and down-right carelessness.Several cross-breed "young" have been born to both human females and alien females. We as humans are fully biological compatible with most visiting aliens. Some are not. More than one type or "specie" of alien has visited this planet. They are listed by category ....

this information I could not retrieve. 2. The U.S. Government and the British have made secret treaty agreements with the aliens in exchange for technology and so-called "recon" missions during times of human conflict.


The aliens have basically agreed to not concern themselves with the wars or conflicts of humans. "Not to interfere" in society. Let the governments rule and decide. Exactly what the aliens get in return was not exactly made clear or available. Also, there are special "teams" which eradicate, discredit, harass and "trump-up charges" to control humans which experience any visitations from aliens, or make verifiable UFO sightings. This is one of the reasons I retired. It's too much for any government to impose upon the civilian population like this.


3. Many of the "strange" happenings which people experience with UFO sightings can be one of two things. First, simply an overactive and wishful imagination. Second and foremost is the influence of the vast mental power of the alien visitors. In the reports andexperiments conducted with live aliens, they have an incredible power of "telepathic suggestion." Combine this with their telekinetic abilities and just about anyone can be some-what directed to do or think just about anything.The general has this further to say, "Make no mistake, President Truman and later President Eisenhower gave specific direct orders to keep everything and I mean everything top secret.


" The "special group" assigned to oversee the alien situation and other government VIPs agree to gather all of the technology possible and put it to use for the benefit of the USA. I really wonder what other motives are there?"Further on he makes these very disturbing comments. The questioner asks when seeing the documentation, "why are children aboard these crafts?

My God! You don't mean the aliens are snatching our kids? What for?" The general says, "There are over a million missing children every year in the United States alone. Now not all of them have been taken by aliens. The aliens take about 2,200 children a year from the United States and other countries. Its all right there in the report attached to the three photographs. The rest of the missing children are the result of Mankind's Dark Side." "The children are used in several ways: Biological, to educate and return, experimentation, disease study. The same as adults.


"The questioner is looking at the report, "According to the report, implants are being used on the people that are taken aboard UFOs and returned. Some of these implants are microscopic in size (and smaller) and influence the growth, function and learning capabilities of the individual. This is a very detailed report. Could I have a copy?" The general says, "No. Sorry but you know our agreement was that you did not get to keep or copy any paperwork. As well as the other matters we discussed. I warned you that this material is very serious and real."It sounds like from this material that the aliens that the general is talking about are not that ethically different from us just a little more advance technologically.


This article just has the ring of truth about it and it has just disappeared in the vast amount of information and disinformation that has become available to the public over the years. One of the benefits of being in his field for so long is the large amount of information that gets stored in the brain and that pops out from time to time when needed.Some of this material is disturbing and should be looked at in context. This is why I try to describe a wide spectrum of extraterrestrial life and point out the overall context that the universe is a very big place and is full of intelligent species as well as less intelligent ones. I believe it is very important to keep the overall context of great evolutionary diversity even as one investigates specific species. Other wise we will become conceptually trapped as so many already are in their own little clump of trees and so get side tracked and are blinded to the overall context.

At the risk of repeating myself too often we need the overall context, the conceptual framework so as guide our decision making processes in order to make the right decisions and take the right actions. There seem to be some, on and off earth, that want to attack the public's decision making process so as to subvert it for their own special interest ends. We must not let this happen to us. Lets keep our eyes on the prize and the prize is the overall context of our lives. We must not accept anything less.

And he says extra-terrestrials have visited Earth on several occasions - but the alien contact has been repeatedly covered up by governments for six decades. 

Dr Mitchell, 77, said during a radio interview that sources at the space agency who had had contact with aliens described the beings as 'little people who look strange to us.'

He said supposedly real-life ET's were similar to the traditional image of a small frame, large eyes and head.

Chillingly, he claimed our technology is "not nearly as sophisticated" as theirs and "had they been hostile", he warned "we would be been gone by now".

Dr Mitchell, along with with Apollo 14 commander Alan Shepard, holds the record for the longest ever moon walk, at nine hours and 17 minutes following their 1971 mission.

"I happen to have been privileged enough to be in on the fact that we've been visited on this planet and the UFO phenomena is real," Dr Mitchell said.

"It's been well covered up by all our governments for the last 60 years or so, but slowly it's leaked out and some of us have been privileged to have been briefed on some of it.

"I've been in military and intelligence circles, who know that beneath the surface of what has been public knowledge, yes - we have been visited. Reading the papers recently, it's been happening quite a bit."

Do you think aliens exist? And has it been covered up?
Dr Mitchell, who has a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautical engineering and a Doctor of Science degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics claimed Roswell was real and similar alien visits continue to be investigated.

He told the astonished Kerrang! radio host Nick Margerrison: "This is really starting to open up. I think we're headed for real disclosure and some serious organisations are moving in that direction."

Mr Margerrison said: "I thought I'd stumbled on some sort of astronaut humour but he was absolutely serious that aliens are definitely out there and there's no debating it."

Officials from NASA, however, were quick to play the comments down.

In a statement, a spokesman said: "NASA does not track UFOs. NASA is not involved in any sort of cover up about alien life on this planet or anywhere in the universe.

Life forms so alien that scientists may simply not have recognised evidence of their existence could inhabit the Earth, according to a leading scientist.

Dr Tom Gold, emeritus professor of astronomy at Cornell University in America, believes that organisms based on silicon - completely unrelated to all the carbon-based life man has encountered so far - may live at great depths.

In a forthcoming book he will suggest that scientists should take the possibility more seriously. Gold, who is a member of the Royal Society, previously predicted that vast amounts of more conventional bacteria live miles down within the Earth's crust.

Scientists initially dismissed the idea, but many now agree with him.

"So long as nobody suspects there could be silicon-based life, we may just not be clever enough to identify it," he said last week.

Rocks bearing signs of silicon-based organisms may already be sitting in laboratories, he believes, with their significance overlooked.

Every known living organism, from bacteria to mankind, is based on the chemistry of carbon, which forms the complex molecules such as DNA that are central to our existence. Scientists believe that if extraterrestrial life is found, the chances are that it, too, will be carbon-based.

Silicon has many chemical similarities to carbon, prompting scholars and science fiction writers to dream up new life forms.

Huge "space slugs" that can swallow space ships appear in the film The Empire Strikes Back; in an episode of Star Trek a rock-like alien attacked Captain Kirk's crew; and killer parasites based on silicon surfaced in The X-Files when scientists explored the interior of a volcano.

Gold's life forms, if they exist, would most likely be micro-organisms capable of withstanding enormous pressures and temperatures, living in tiny pores inside rock deep within the Earth's crust. They could draw energy from dissolved gases and surrounding minerals.

Gold's ideas, which centre on an alternative explanation for oil and mineral deposits, will be published in his book, The Deep Hot Biosphere, in January.

"It is speculative but logical that there could be a large bio-chemical system very deep down which works better at high temperatures and pressures," he said.

Others are sceptical. Dr Harold Klein, who headed the Viking lander project team that searched for signs of life on Mars in the 1970s, pointed out that silicon was far inferior to carbon at forming the complex polymers crucial for life.

"I personally doubt the idea of silicon-based life. If we do find organisms far down inside the Earth, I'd bet they'd be carbon-based," he said.

Nevertheless, he urges future missions to Mars to carry an instrument to test for non-carbon-based organisms - just in case.

It is possible that the chemistry of silicon is altered sufficiently by the great temperatures and pressures deep in the Earth to make it more suited to forming complex molecules, according to David Noever, a research scientist at Nasa's new Astrobiology Institute.

He said some scientists at the American space agency were treating the idea of silicon-based organisms seriously, particularly with a view to searching for extraterrestrial life.

"It's almost naive to assume all life must be carbon-based; I could possibly make good cases for life based on both silicon and phosphorus," he said.

Silicon is used by some carbon-based single-cell organisms called diatoms to form protective shells, according to Dr David Williams, a diatom researcher at the Natural History Museum in London. But diatoms are still fundamentally carbon-based.

However, bizarre organisms have been found in recent years deep in the Earth's crust. Steve Jones, professor of genetics at University College London, said: "There's an unknown universe down there that has already produced organisms with metabolisms so strange that, by comparison, man and mushrooms are almost identical, so God knows what else they'll find."

Microbes have been found living on the ocean floor at depths and temperatures where life was previously thought unsustainable.

Without knowing what silicon-based life forms might be like, said Dr Harry Elderfield, an earth scientist at Cambridge University, it is almost impossible to predict how scientists could even test for them.

Yet Gold has been described by Stephen Jay Gould, president of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, as one of the most iconoclastic scientists - but one who is often right.

Our mass media is on an extraterrestrial kick. Watch any television or read any current magazine and you'll usually find at least one reference to UFOs and their alien pilots. Print ad's and TV commercials abound with the space aliens and their antics. It seems the popular notion is that UFOs (or Flying Saucers) are spacecraft from other planets. Many researchers no longer ask: "what are UFOs?" Instead they question, "What planet are they from?" But what do we really know about unidentified flying objects?

As any investigator of UFOs know, the phenomenon is multifaceted, it seems to first be one way, then suddenly another. People witness what appears to be unknown solid objects in the air that suddenly fade away like ghosts. Others come into contact with beings that seem to be from the unknown craft. These creatures come in all shapes and sizes, and claim to be from just about anywhere. There have been so many witnesses over the years that we can no longer simply dismiss all such sightings as mistakes, hoaxes or delusion. But neither can we simply except UFO's at face value as visitors from other planets.

Strange sights in our skies is nothing new. For as long as we have had written records, reports of UFOs have been made. Strange entities are also not new to mankind's history. Many such beings in the past have claimed to be from the heavens. Since the earliest times, mankind has felt that there must exist a mind superior to his own. Until now, Man has always thought of supreme beings in a religious context. That is why until the industrial revolution, sightings of UFOs and contacts with strange creatures were thought of as mystical experiences.

With Science as the new religion, the former "Gods" and "Angels" have now turned into the "ET's" and "Grays." In fifty years we have witnessed the birth of a new religion, the church of interplanetary visitors. As with other religions, proof is not needed, only faith. What is it that has converted so many to the extraterrestrial dogma?

From the very beginning of the modern UFO era (1947) some witnesses claimed to have been contacted by the occupants of the Flying Saucers. These creatures said they were from other worlds, usually planets from our own solar system. The contactees were shown pictures of the home planets, some even claimed to have been taken to these other worlds. They were convinced their experiences were real. Not every UFO sighting led to an occupant sighting, nor did all entity sightings lead to communication with the witness. During the Europe UFO flap of 1952, strange creatures, apparently associated with the UFOs were reported by witnesses. However, there was little actual communication between the beings and witnesses. Generally the stories were the same, the witness, while out at night, spots a strange metallic object on the ground, close by is seen one or several humanoids. After a few seconds the beings reenter the object which then flies away. The entities sighted range indescription from tall blond, blue-eyed humans, to short hairy dwarfs.

As time went by these creatures no longer ran away, but instead sought to communicate with people, usually to warn of the dire results of using atomic weapons. A favorite subject of aliens in the 1950's. They also spoke of their home worlds, places of utopian peace and beauty, but now farther away, in other solar systems or as close by as the center of our hollow earth. Again the witnesses accepted what they heard as the truth. They spread the information through self-published pamphlets, books, radio talk shows and television. These contactees were universally laughed at and discredited. However, maybe we should have considered that the contactee had a real experience, but was then fed false information.

Emanuel Swedenborg once wrote: "when spirits begin to speak with man you should not listen to anything they say, for surely they will lie." Perhaps our friends from the Flying Saucers are kin to the spirits that Swedenborg wrote of. "They tell such wondrous tales."

What are we dealing with then? The UFO phenomenon does seem to be controlled; it does follow intelligent patterns. But the information given to us by the ufonauts is generally false, and is, perhaps, a deliberate smoke screen to cover-up what really is going on. Whatever the UFOs are up to, they are doing it on a world wide scale. And it's inevitable that they should from time to time come in contact with some of us. When such contacts do occur, they deliberately hand out ridiculous information. Our belief systems are exploited. This whole mystery has been designed not only to keep us confused and skeptical, but to convince us that we are hosts to visitors from other planets. Someone is very interested in keeping this idea alive.

Starting in the 1970's and continuing through the 90's, the "Alien Abduction" story appears to be a recent development in the ever growing UFO mystery. Research has shown however, that this story has roots extending as far back as writings in ancient sumerian texts, to the books of the Bible. For years, people saying they've been snatched up by non-human entities has not been an uncommon occurrence. Perhaps one of the best researched incidents is the alleged abduction by aliens of Betty and Barney Hill. Their story is covered in the excellent book, THE INTERRUPTED JOURNEY by John Fuller. The Hill's experience would serve as a template as others over the years would report similar abductions.

The number of participants involved also increased. Whereas in the past, usually only one person was abducted, now reports of whole carloads of people being kidnapped have surfaced. In the 1980's , abduction phenomenon changed from random encounters on dark roadways, to people being taken from their beds in the middle of the night. As more and more people came forward to tell of their encounters, similarities in the details became apparent.

What was interesting in the early days of abduction research, was that people who had noprevious knowledge about UFOs were telling practically the same story. This was before the extensive media attention on abduction experiences, so it was unlikely that all the witnesses could have been influenced by the same outside sources.

Today the abduction stories along with the abductors have become ingrained in modern folklore. The stories and descriptions of the alleged aliens have become homogenized. The early stories saw a multitude of events and entities. Now the entities described almost always are what are now known as the "Grays." Short humanoid creatures with grey skin, large heads, and huge black eyes. The UFO flaps in the fifties and sixties saw reports of all kinds of different creatures. Few past sightings have surfaced that coincide with recent descriptions of the grays.

Are we seeing a cultural condition? Or maybe some kind of human psychological bias? Entity reports from other countries continue to show a wide range of descriptions. This detail could enable us to better understand the nature of this mysterious phenomenon.

Of the case histories we've studied in this article, most are purely anecdotal, comprising witness testimony to an event for which that testimony generally constitutes the only evidence. It could be possible that every witness is either lying or deluded, even in those cases where more then one person, strangers to one another, report the same experience. I believe, though, that most of these reported cases really did, in some form, actually occur. What form that experience seemed to take, and what it's real nature was, is another matter. In many cases, the witness offered no interpretation of their experience. They simply said what had happened to them and hoped others would explain it.

What are the facts with these cases? How are they being explained? Beings that seem to accompany UFOs are described by witnesses as short humanoids, tall beings, or even normal looking humans. Most of them do not match the standard descriptions that have been made so popular by rabid believers or by the media. This is the dilemma that faces modern UFO research. In the eagerness to grasp onto a few tentative patterns, which are often reinforced by bombarding witnesses with leading questions under hypnosis, many researchers actually select the cases that match their preexisting expectations. Naturally, this can lead to skewed results. However, there is a genuine UFO phenomenon. Years of research with thousands of witnesses over the years have convinced me of this fact. This phenomenon is not explained though by the revelations of alleged government agents. Nor by such UFO cult groups as Heavens Gate. The genuine UFO phenomenon appears to be associated with a form of non-human consciousness that manipulates space/time in ways we do not understand. Most researchers though, still cling to the notion that any non-human form of conscious must be from outer space.

The simple truth is if there is a form of life and consciousness that operates on properties of space/time we have not yet discovered, then it doesn't have to be extraterrestrial. It could come from any place and from any time, even our own world. Past encounters with strange entities seem to show an almost personal connection with the witness. Personal beliefs of the witness appear to be known and exploited by the contacting beings. Before anyone had even heard of other planets we believed in fairies and sprites. We still have records of people who claimed encounters with these creatures, much like modern UFO encounters. Today we don't believe in the wee folk. Yet the same basic phenomenon still occurs. It has just been dressed in more modern, space-aged clothes.

It is easy to speculate, everyone has their favorite theory. However, instead of letting personal theory control investigations, researchers instead need to listen to what is being said by the witnesses. Offer no explanations, because the phenomenon seems to conform to the participants expectations. Look at the evidence that has been gathered over the last one thousand years, not just the last fifty. What is being seen? What has been said? What is the real evidence that is being presented to us? Only through knowledge will we begin to understand the enduring mysteries in our skies.

News released today about a secret U.S. Government project to analyze an allegedly extraterrestrial craft has a unique twist.

This craft did not crash in 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico.

According to the anonymous sources, it crashed approximately 150 million years ago during the age of the dinosaurs.

This information has been posted on the SERPO.org Web site, home to other reports about extraterrestrial visitation reportedly provided by current and former officials of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).

The conduit for the information is Victor Martinez, the moderator of an e-mail “stream” information service that focuses on topics related to anomalous phenomena. Martinez has reportedly worked for several U.S. Government agencies.

In late 2005, Martinez wrote that these DIA sources had reached out to him to reveal information about “Project SERPO,” a later code name for a secret “exchange program” in the 1960s, ‘70s and ‘80s between a small team of American military personnel and extraterrestrial visitors who had established contact with the U.S. Government.

Other information reportedly provided by these sources noted that the U.S. Government maintains records collected by both U.S. officials and a race of extraterrestrials that notes visitation to Earth in ancient times.

The most recent information report from the anonymous sources via Martinez makes the claim that “A highly classified, sensitive operation with far-reaching national security implications that took place in 1968.”

ET VISITATION IN DINOSAUR AGE

“A [redacted] archaeological team uncovered a large metallic object in a remote area of southern [redacted] which is a close NATO ally of ours,” according to Martinez’ anonymous sources.

The sources also reportedly told Martinez, “The object was believed to be an alien spacecraft that had crashed approximately 200 million years ago according to the archaeological team. The site subsequently was examined by a USAF recovery team, which then put the age of the alien craft at approximately 150 million years ago.”

As fantastic as this sounds, it is not inconsistent with other speculation that if extraterrestrial visitors have been coming to Earth in recent decades, it is possible they visited in previous centuries and in the far-distant past.

Martinez reports that his sources stated, “Our scientists used the absolute dating method employing decaying radioactive isotopes. Sedimentary rock formations and the fact that the object was embedded into the rock were used to estimate the age of the alien craft.”

“The alien craft itself was 45 feet in diameter,” the sources continued. “The craft was transported to the State of [redacted] and then to the giant [redacted] lab complex in [redacted] and opened.”

“The alien craft contained two highly decomposed alien bodies and decayed animals, which were apparently abducted by these alien beings. The animals were small dinosaurs on board the alien craft.”

ANALYZING THE CRAFT

Martinez states that his sources provided the following information: “The craft was stored at [redacted] and years of intense research were conducted. The last time I checked, the research team ruled out the craft being of Eben origin.”

“Eben” is a name allegedly given to an ET culture who have visited Earth from the Zeta Reticuli star system, were the group who crashed in Roswell and the beings with whom the U.S. shared the exchange program.

The anonymous sources allegedly added, “However, no one could tell where it came from. The alien bodies were far too decomposed to be thoroughly examined. They were about 5 feet tall and had very large, bulbous heads.”

“To the best of my knowledge, 'Operation [redacted]' is still an ongoing project. I personally worked on the operation in the early '70s.”

“The instruments from the craft were interesting because they were made of small crystal-like devices, wired together with a form of very fine wire.”

“The alien propulsion system contained a large chamber with what we called ‘rocks’ (obviously some form of energy) in the chamber. Large vents placed around the chamber vented some sort of power, radiation or some form of tremendous energy generated through the vents and into the propulsion chamber which enabled interstellar space travel.”

The anonymous sources claimed, “Examination of the rocks found zinc, and several unknown materials and alloys which we still cannot identify to this day. The ‘rocks’ obviously lost all of their energy over the years. They were not radioactive nor did they contain any special properties. We could never power up the alien craft in the nearly 40 years we've had possession of it.”

“We could not locate the actual power system and therefore could never operate any of the equipment contained within the craft. However, we did find a 'star chart.' The chart was created from outside of the Earth on the alien home world.”

“To this day, we have been unable to read and decipher the alien star chart. The star chart was of a deep area of space, but our scientists haven't been able to find that specific area of space.”

“ … the amazing … alien technology on this craft has similarly stumped us; while some progress has been made on it since 1968, it's been minimal (partially due to the poor, degraded condition of the alien craft).”

BOGGLES THE MIND

In the posting on SERPO.org and in his e-mail stream, Martinez and his anonymous sources reflect on the implications of what a discovery of this nature means.

“Anonymous” writes, “… the existence of alien civilizations who had already achieved space traveling capabilities zipping around the Milky Way Galaxy (and perhaps others) truly boggles the mind.”

“The Ebens were perhaps still in their ‘galactic diapers’ when these alien beings were already visiting other worlds –150-200 MYA [million years ago] and Homo sapiens did not even exist!”

“One can only wonder and speculate where a civilization – that had already achieved interstellar space travel – would be at today technologically from 150-200 MYA!"

Anonymous and Martinez continued their speculation with Anonymous allegedly stating: “How many star systems have they visited by now? How many other alien civilizations have they made successful contact and interacted with, and perhaps carry on some sort of trade with? How many solar systems have they visited and mapped out in our Milky Way Galaxy and perhaps those of other galaxies?”

“One also has to consider the possibility that rather than this crash having occurred in our timeline of 150-200 MYA, these alien beings traveled to Earth from the future to our distant past – when dinosaurs ruled – as part of a research mission ... that also boggles the mind!” Anonymous said, according to Martinez.

As with all of the Project SERPO information, this latest chapter will surely provoke discussion, doubts about its truthfulness and trigger the imaginations of many readers.

Is it true? Is it some kind of disinformation or phony claim? Is there some truth hidden within inaccurate information?

Is it part of an “acclimation” program to prepare Americans and the human race for the awareness of very interesting and surprising information?

At present, it is not possible for most readers to confirm the truthfulness of the statements Anonymous is reportedly making to Martinez and Martinez is passing on to the public.

What may be helpful for our perspectives, however, is considering that if extraterrestrial visitation to Earth is a reality, then it could have been occurring in time frames beyond what we might have previously thought.

Are alien abductions real, or are they a product of a dream, sleep paralysis, or just an overactive imagination? Those who claim to have been abducted or "abductees," as they are called today, say that they are being awakened from sleep, and transported to an alien spacecraft. Hard core scientists believe that these abductees never left their bed.

Once the abductees are aboard the alien craft they are subjected to medical tests by strange looking creatures not of this world. These tests vary greatly from one account to another, but generally consist of a general overview of the human body, and sometimes sexual probing. Men may be milked of their sperm; women may have their eggs taken. Tormented afterwards by nightmares or fragmented memories, they often seek professional help.

Disbelievers in the phenomena of alien abduction offer the theory that the alleged abductee is reliving memories of an alien scenario that they either read about, or saw in a movie. Mental and psychological problems produce these beliefs as a way to relieve tension or deal with other personal issues. Memories drawn from regressive hypnosis are false, created by the mind, or evoked by the hypnotist.

Current Status of Abductions

Today, alien abductions are rarely reported for several reasons. The intimate, often times embarrassing procedures performed on the abductees are generally details they would only reveal in private. Public disclosure of an abduction can expose the abductee to public ridicule, loss of friends, and loss of livelihood. Just like reporters of UFO sightings, they are also labeled as a "nut." Many times an abductee will seek professional help in the form of "regressive hypnosis," a procedure to unlock lost memories. Some abductees have a type of tracking device implanted in their body.

Modern science has gotten into the act in the last ten years or so. New technology for analyzing sleep patterns, dreams, and sleep paralysis has shed a negative light on many abduction experiences. Scientists claim that a person's memory can trigger bizarre recreations of scenarios the abductee has seen on television or at the movies. Other psychological or mental problems lend to the person's susceptibility to have these dreams. Many disbelievers claim that regressive hypnosis creates memories, instead of releasing them.

Abduction Background

The modern abduction era began on a September night in 1961. Barney Hill and his wife Betty were driving home to New Hampshire from a short vacation. They began to see a bright light which seemed to follow them on their way. Soon the object moved close enough that multi-colored lights were observed. They stopped the car, and Barney, with the aid of binoculars, could see occupants in the strange, other worldly craft.

The next thing the Hills remembered was being in their car again, continuing their journey home. They never saw the strange craft again. They did, however, hear a strange beeping sound. After sleeping until the next afternoon, the only thing the Hills recalled was the sighting of the craft, nothing else. They began to have nightmarish dreams.

Two writers learned of the Hill story, and after taking a meticulous accounting of the journey, it was found that two hours of time was lost to the Hills. Seeking professional help with Dr. Benjamin Simon, their alien abduction story was revealed through regressive hypnosis.

Case For Abductions

Alien abduction claims must be examined on a case by case basis. No blanket theory or solution can apply to all cases. There are a number of abduction accounts made by sane, well respected members of society. Many of these are accomplished while the individual is not in bed, but wide awake, and sometimes in broad daylight. Many abductions occurred after seeing an unknown flying object. What will the debunkers do with these? Write them off as coming from unbalanced people? Are all who report an abduction mentally unstable?

A number of abductees do not require regressive hypnosis to recall their experience. Shortly after an abduction, the individual may be confused by fragmented memories, or tormented by nightmares, but in time they will gain total recall of their abduction. Realizing what has happened to them, they often seek counseling to answer haunting questions of why they were selected for this bizarre extraterrestrial visit.

There is scientific proof to substantiate abduction claims in the form of many objects removed from abductees. In theory, these objects were implanted for the aliens to be able to track them. These artifacts are available for research. The bizarre nature of the abduction process, and the stigma placed on the abductees by a skeptical world precludes the reporting of more abduction accounts. Science needs to lend an open ear and mind to this phenomena, and research alien abduction on a case by case basis.

Case Against Abductions

Those who disbelieve accounts of alien abduction list several reasons for their stand. To believe in the possibility of alien abduction would necessitate the belief in extraterrestrial intelligence, and that they are visiting our planet. There is no proof whatsoever that any intelligent beings exist beyond our own world, and even if they did, where is the proof that they have visited our planet?

Even if there were other beings in the vastness of space, the great distances to traverse make it an impossible journey. Even with our present technology, the nearest star that might be inhabitable would take many light years to reach. And the wear and tear on the body, both physically and mentally, make the trek an impossibility.

Even if we subscribe to the multidimensionality theory of existence, and there are other forms of life that we are not aware of, why would these beings be interested in our society, being so much less intelligent than they?

Those who claim to have been abducted may believe in their own stories, but that is all it is, a story. These individuals are in need of psychological help, and their claims of abduction are only a form of delusion, or self healing.

For those who make such claims, we ask, "Where is the proof?" So-called artifacts are nothing more than foreign objects that entered the body without the person knowing it, like a small, embedded pieced of metal stepped on, and forgotten about. Alien abduction belongs in science fiction, not real science.

The event occurred at a house in Florencio Varela and the case promises to have worldwide repercussions. They were fourteen aliens in total. Suddenly, in the  middle of the night, they were surrounding the bed she shared with her husband and small daughter. They looked at her silently, and at no moment did she feel fear.  She wanted to wake up her husband, to have him witness what was occurring before her very eyes, but the Vistors advised her telepathically that he would remain asleep, as he was still not yet ready. Then, the beings revealed all of their secrets to her during a 40 minute time period. This is a "contact" experience between a young woman from the town of Florencio Varela and a
group of aliens - a case whose mysterious elements have the research community on tenterhooks, and promises to become known worldwide.

The entire episode forms part of an impressive investigation undertaken by the renowned founders of Grupo OVNI - Jorge Marron and Daniel Valverdi - who managed to secure an interview last week with the young woman, 23, who lives in a house in Florencio Varela along with her husband and child. "The case is currently under investigation and the analyses have not yet been completed. We are working with a multi-disciplinary team of experts who have contributed their manpower to unravel the case. As we can tell right now, it is 90% true," Valverdi told Expedientes  Secretos.

"Karina" is the name of the protagonist, and the story is truly enthralling. Among other revelations, she said that the aliens visit our planet on six-month rotations, and are replaced by a new group. They also explained that the circles and shapes that appear on the fields are signals they employ among themselves, and finally explained that there are dozens of civilizations from other planets that come down and interact on Earth to study it (and surely to study us).

"I never had an experience of this sort. It happened two and a half months ago. We were in bed - my husband, my baby and me. They were asleep and I was trying to fall asleep. Suddenly I felt lights, and when I opened my eyes there was nothing there. I closed my eyes again, and the same thing happened. Like a flash of light. I opened my eyes, but all I could see was the [pilot light] on the stove," explained Karina, on audio recordings broadcast on the Codigo OVNI radio show (FM Apuntes, Mondays, 22:00 hrs.)

"The fourth time that this happened, I felt it closer. I opened my eyes and saw the beings standing beside me. I was lying between my husband and my daughter. I uncovered myself and sat up. They were around the bed, fourteen of them, all of them short except for one: this last one was beside my husband, staring at him fixedly. The small ones were all around,and measured 1.30 meters or so. They were slightly
taller than my bed's sommier, which is rather tall," said the young woman.

In her description of the events to researches Marron and Valverdi, the witness explained that she tried to wake her husband, but was unable to do so. "I even dug my nails into him, but nothing. The baby was on the other side, on her stomach, but neither of them reacted. At that time, one of the beings told me not to wake up my husband, because he was not ready. I  realize that they spoke to me telepathically, and I
could answer them in the same way," Karina explained.

They were practically alike. The only difference was the height of one of their number. They were skinny, with long necks and small heads. Their eyes were black, like almonds, slanted, and their mouths were also small. They had little wrinkles on their face and the head was oval. They had shoulders; their fingers were long and had no nails," described the woman, who was standing beside a group of aliens who touched her hair, the palms of her hands and lifted one of her arms."

"Five of them were on the left, four facing me and five on the right side of the bed. I was the only one who wasn't paralyzed. We communicated for some 40 minutes, mouths closed. That is to say, I spoke by my mouth didn't move. I managed to touch one of the little ones, and he touched my face. I just felt the need to touch him, and in fact I felt peaceful in their company.
I never had the impression that they could harm my daughter or any one of us," Karina insists.

"Suddenly he made a movement (sic)," said the witness. "He touched me with two fingers, and finally brushed a finger along my forehead. They told me they had come to give me answers about a black book (the Bible) and that what I was thinking was in fact true. When I asked them a question, they told me everything, with details."

In her conversation with the researchers, Karina stated "the tall one was looking at my husband all the time. His head was slightly smaller than the others, because the small ones had rather larger heads. It felt like touching a baby's skin - they had little wrinkles, but I couldn't feel them when I touched one of them. The skin was cold and the color was odd, neither white nor gray. They had a skin tone that doesn't exist
here."

Background on the CE-5 (Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind) Initiative by CSETI (Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence) (Director: Steven Greer, MD - Website: www.cseti.org):

Definition: CE-5 is a term describing a fifth category of close encounters with Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI), characterized by mutual, bilateral communication rather than unilateral contact. The CE-5 Initiative has as its central focus bilateral ETI-human communication based on mutual respect and universal principles of exchange and contact. CE types 1-4 are essentially passive, reactive and ETI initiated. A CE-5 is distinguished from these by conscious, voluntary and proactive human-initiated or cooperative contacts with ETI. Evidence exists indicating that CE-5s have successfully occurred in the past, and the inevitable maturing of the human/ETI relationship requires greater research and outreach efforts into this possibility. Introduction:

The following is an account - from my point of view - of events that occurred during a CSETI investigative team activation to Monterrey, Mexico in Decemer of 1994. While necessarily somewhat subjective based on my own experiences, every attempt has been made to present an accurate depiction of events that were experienced by myself and our team.

CSETI Reacts to Flap in Mexico:

After seeing a tape of a "Hard Copy" program showing an active wave of UFO activity in Monterrey, Mexico - the third largest metropolis in Mexico - we made an effort to contact the researcher who had taken those videos. Santiago Yturria is a thorough researcher and skilled videographer who, along with Diana Perla Chapa, the host of a popular live talk show on Mexican network television, has had a UFO group for over 20 years in the state of Nuevo Leone.

Dr. Steven Greer, international director of CSETI, activated a CSETI Rapid Mobilization Investigative Team (RMIT) to Monterrey to investigate this current flap. Santiago, Diana, and the entire Ovni Club of N.L. assisted us, took us to sites, shared their evidence and graciously welcomed us to Monterrey. Dr. Greer, myself, a woman from New York and a man, also a videographer, from Minneapolis made up the CSETI team. (Names furnished upon request.)

Consciousness Connections:

Lucid dream activity played a significant role in the events that unfolded in Monterrey. Three of the team had dreams that proved to be portents of happenings on this project. I had a dream in the early hours of December 13th. In it, the extraterrestrials were showing us the spot where we should come in order to have a meeting with them. They showed me aerial views, in stop motion - each one closer to the ground - and marked the site with a strobing turquoise laser pattern. They showed me a view from the ground, looking up at some steep peaks, and showed it to me both in day and nighttime views. The night view revealed two stars in a particular configuration over one of the peaks.

That very afternoon, Santiago and his friends drove us to Las Mitres mountains, well known as an area of many sightings of UFOs. As we approached, it dawned on me that it was identical to what I was shown in my dream. We decided to use the spot as our field research site that night. When we came to Las Mitres (so named because the mountain peaks resemble a bishop's miter hat) that night, the two stars were indeed in the sky in the same position as I had seen in my lucid dream.

The Team Gets to Work:

The CSETI team had observed some anomalous objects in the sky at two different sites on the nights of December 11th and 12th, but the next two nights, the 13th and 14th at the Las Mitres sites, proved to be exceptional. The Las Mitres mountains contain a large cave where the local investigators believe that spacecraft conceal themselves when coming to the Monterrey area. And, unusually dense low clouds were known to form over the cave and other parts of the peaks very quickly. On the night of December 13th, the entire CSETI team set up camp at the base of Las Mitres. We were joined by an American woman who was a friend of one of our teammates, who was married to a Mexican man and living in Monterrey. She had arranged our lodging and transportation for us.

Around 10:30 pm, following our first Coherent Thought Sequencing (a CSETI protocol) session, we observed a very bright light that appeared in the zenith of the sky, traveling rapidly in an upward arc that terminated in the center of the constellationOrion. At 10:45 pm, very dense clouds materialized within a minute on parts of the sheer mountain cliffs.

The Close Encounters Begin:

At approximately 1:00 am, Dr. Greer and another team member were standing slightly down the gravel road when they observed a bright, strobe-like white light to appear at the edge of the mountain. At about the same time, I had gotten up and walked closer towards the brush at the base of the mountain. Dr. Greer looked for me to tell me of the strobe light and found me at the spot where it had appeared. As we stood there, another round light came rolling down the side of the steep slope. Just then, I felt some invisible energy that felt as if it were gently pulling me in deeper to the brush. Both Dr. Greer and I felt there was a presence nearby that, from past experience, led us to feel there was a spacecraft and extraterrestrial beings very nearby.

Just then, I began to perceive small, square-shouldered beings in the brush around us. They could be sensed and dimly seen, but a clear view of them wasn't possible. The little beings were extremely shy and reticent. They would scurry close to us, then backtrack quickly into the brush. We could not hear any brush moving or footsteps but we could dimly see them. To me, they seemed to have on uniforms that covered their body and legs that were a dull orange-rust color. They were very short, just up to my knees (I am 5'7"). I became aware of a telepathic message - they were concerned about our video camera, behind me to the right. I turned my head and looked. Sure enough, unknown to me previously as I had not seen it in the dark, was our teammate's professional camera set up on a tripod. I send back the mental message to them not to worry, the camera wasn't on and we wouldn't let him touch it. They seemed to trust my assurance, as the event continued to unfold. I related this two-way communication to Dr. Greer, who went back to the other three people and instructed them to stay where they were unless he called them forward.

These rich, rare exchanges with what appear to be extraterrestrial life forms are very delicate scenarios. Any sudden, rash or extreme emotion or movement can thwart the entire event and bring it to a screeching halt, and the extraterrestrials vanish. Sometimes our second-guessing of what is needed to allow an event to unfold in all its possible fullness is accurate; sometimes it is not. It is almost like hesitant dance partners, longing but afraid to get closer. Until we as a people are more accepting of close contact with extraterrestrials, our interactions are likely to continue in this way.

I could mentally 'hear' concerned conversation going on amongst the small beings. They eventually conveyed to me the message, again mentally, that they were having difficulty adjusting our energies in preparation for a meeting because my physical energy was concentrated on my stomach, trying to digest some food. Just before all this began, I had eaten about a half of a Power Bar, a dense protein energy food. It was cold and hard from being in my gear bag for hours and I could feel it kind of just laying in my stomach. At this point, I sent a very deliberate message to the life forms: "I give you permission to take it out of my body". Suddenly, I felt as if someone were standing some distance away with a fishing line whose hook was inside my stomach. It felt as if someone were slowing reeling in the line as the food came back out the way it went in. Now, I detest vomiting more than almost anything and I was struck by the gentleness that was used in removing this food from my body. It was only mildly unpleasant. Dr. Greer, an emergency physician, asked me if I was alright. I told him that I was fine and that this was being done with my permission. After this little purging, the energy felt softer, with less intense vibration.

Soon the little beings sent both Dr. Greer and I the message that if we removed our glasses, we would be able to see them better. Although I normally use contact lenses, glasses are preferable for field work when wind and dust often gets blown into my eyes, plus the fact that we are often in the field until the wee hours of the morning. After receiving this message, we each removed our glasses. One last request from the little ETs - that we remove our hats (it had been a chilly night.) At this point, I could actually feel a harmonious flow of energy between us, the little beings, and some other unseen source.

Another Being is Perceived:

At this point, the small life forms disappeared. Shafts of golden light began to come from an unknown, unseen source and lay across the bushes in front of us. We learned later that the three other team members behind us could see this as well, although they had not been able to perceive the small beings. I could feel one of these shafts of light approach me and fill my torso with a warm, golden glow. After the light rays faded, a large oval of bluish fog began to form about ten feet in front of us. As the blue mist began to coalesce, Dr. Greer and I became aware of a being within it. Although again we could see him only dimly, he appeared very humanoid, tall, with long and straight silverish hair. He appeared to be clothed in a light blue and silver uniform.

We learned later that one team member saw a tendril of the blue fog travel along the ground towards her. It frightened her a little until the mist reached her foot and began to send wisps around her feet. She later told us that there was a gentle kindness about the fog and all misgivings vanished. However, our American friend who was not an actual team member became very frightened by the golden light and blue fog.

We learned later that it was all too much for her - something the extraterrestrial would tell us. For as we stood there facing one another, the tall being sent us a message that they would very much like to manifest more fully in the physical to meet with us, but that if they did so, one of our team members would be dangerously frightened. Their caution and concern were touching. And a far cry from the crying wolf that goes on so often when extraterrestrials are said to be heartless, devoid of feeling, and out to harm human beings. We in CSETI feel that this type of encounter points up the absolute need and appropriateness of doing real-time field work in our efforts to learn exactly what these beings are all about.

It is important, and interesting, to note that both Dr. Greer and myself received nearly identical mental messages each time there was a communication from the extraterrestrial.

Dr. Greer and I consulted one another and decided to send a joint message. We told the tall being that if they could not come to us, it was okay with us if they could take us to where they were. We could sense this was being discussed with a 'central command control', or his more senior team members. Dr. Greer and I saw a copper-gold sphere, ten to twelve feet in diameter, begin to coalesce to the left of the tall being. It never reached material solidity but soon began to disperse. The tall being then sent us a message that it would frighten our teammates just as much to see us disappear in front of their eyes as it would for the ETs to manifest right there. At this time, we had no idea that any member of our team was having difficulty coping with these events.

Soon Again, Soon Again:

Finally, after what seemed like a few moments, the tall being sent us a message that they would not be able to manifest fully in the physical this night. But they sent a message: "soon again; soon again". At this point, Dr. Greer went back to speak with the other team members and I stayed put. For the next five minutes, the being and I exchanged blessings toeach other, to our teams. It was poignant and lovely. I cannot recall any of the actual 'words' or specific communications; it was not a left-brained exchange, but was beyond the bounds of linear thought.

Their Reluctance is Proven Out:

When I joined the others, I learned that our American friend had become extremely frightened, so much so that she had taken refuge in our vehicle. We had designated the big Suburban as the 'safe area". We do this on all our field research - setting aside a specific enclosure that any team member can go to if unfolding events prove fearful to them. In fact, it is our policy to send a 'buddy' along, who remains with them the entire time they wish to stay in the safe area. We divide into buddies at the beginning of our field session so that each team member is accounted for, and accountable, at all times. She told us that if she had seen anything more from the ETs, she would have run screaming down the mountainside.

Preparation is Key:

Her reactions impressed upon us the importance of training for each team member. It served as a strong reminder to us to be more stringent in adherence to our policies regarding untrained guests who wanted to join our field work.

Much to my surprise, Dr. Greer and I learned from our teammates that we had been standing there, exchanging communication with the extraterrestrials, for nearly two hours. We both thought no more than thirty minutes had elapsed. By this time, it was nearly 3:00 am, so we broke camp and went home.

The Encounters Continue:

The following day was a busy one with an appearance on Diana Chapa's live TV show in the morning, a field trip to another site in the afternoon, and a talk at the Ovni Club that evening. It was about 11:30 pm by the time we were driving up the narrow road to our Las Mitres site.

Interestingly, our videographer teammate was absent from field work. He had decided to stay in the city to visit his friend and her son. As the Suburban headed up the gravel lane, Dr. Greer and I simultaneously observed a small, bright light on the side of Las Mitres. We knew from the previous night that there was no light normally in that area. Tonight we also had with us our American friend's Mexican husband. He and our driver assured us there were no houses, no power lines, no roads, nothing on the sheer cliffs of Las Mitres.

As we came to the base of the mountain, Dr. Greer jumped from the Suburban while it was still rolling. The other woman and I jumped out and grabbed the bare necessities of field gear: a 500,000 candle power portable halogen light, our night vision scope, binoculars, a small camcorder, and a hand-held micro-cassette recorder.

Because of the reaction by an untrained participant the previous night, we sent our driver and his friend down the road. We told them we could not afford any panic this night. Unbeknownst to us at the time, the men went to a spot at the bottom of the road where they could clearly see the events that unfolded.

Are We in a Spielberg Movie?:

Dr. Greer grabbed the halogen light and sent a signal to the star-like light on the hillside. Instantly, the light transformed into a gigantic, brilliant round beam that shot light down the entire mountainside! We were astonished. It came close to being the time we always joke about - when events are so incredible that we'll wish we had on "Depends" undergarments! We continued to have a Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind - a human-initiated or human-interactive experience - with this craft for the next two hours and fifteen minutes. An exchange like this, with a team in the field, is unprecedented.

During the lengthy encounter, we sent light signals to the craft. The craft would signal back to us in the exact same sequence. Then its lights would extinguish. Within a few minutes, it would again illuminate and initiate a signal to us. This went on and on. Twice during this time period, we saw the shadows of beings walking in front of the blinding beam. At times, the beam would rotate upon itself, appearing to the left of its original position - then back where it was. Once the light seemed to turn over on itself, illuminating the sparsely forested slope behind it. This was one of the times when figures were seen to move in the beam.

Hoaxability Ration - Low to Zero:

It must be emphasized that this is a very remote area devoid of roads. For anyone to have hoaxed this event would have required something on the scale of a major motion picture crew. There was simply no way to have moved equipment like this onto these sheer slopes. It would have caused quite a commotion in the suburbs below if a crew of that magnitude had traversed those sheer cliffs that day. The area would have been swarming with lookie-loos.

At the end of the two hours and fifteen minutes, the light, which by now had split into two candle-flame colored round lights, turned to brilliant red, shot out a lightning bolt of energy and vanished. We saw a golden streak shoot through the sky towards the direction of the ancient volcano, Topochico. And the energy was gone. It was not until this point that we fully appreciated that

1) we'd been standing up for all that time, and
2) our hair had stood on end the entire time.

As a side note, I want to report that when we first got out of the vehicle at the base of the mountain, I heard crickets chirping in stereophonic synchronicity. One would chirp on our right, then one would chirp on our left. The chirping was loud and distinct. When I heard it, I told my teammates that it was significant. I had heard similar chirping prior to another major encounter in the past. It was moments later that the gigantic craft illuminated before us.

Eventful Trip Home:

We signalled to our drivers to bring up the Suburban. When they arrived, we learned that the men had gone to a vantage point and had seen everything, giving us two independent witnesses. In fact, from their extra distance the light was not so blinding and they were able to discern the craft. They both reported seeing a very large disc-shaped craft with a domed top. The men were extremely excited. They said they felt bonded now, like brothers. The American's husband said that his life would never be the same again.

As we were riding on our 30-minute drive home, Dr. Greer remarked that he felt the ETs would follow us. Within a minute, the man in front was exclaiming, "la luz, la luz!" (the light, the light!) We could then see that the gigantic light was visible from the road, showing itself to us on the opposite side of the mountain from where it had been at our field site! We stopped at a closed gas station, signalled and videoed (which came out fuzzy and blurred). You will recall that, of all nights, our videographer was not with us this night. Coincidence or orchestrated by the ETs? So many such things happen that we have to ponder the possibility. This time, the light was not appearing as two lights side by side. Instead, they were two lights stacked one on top the other. We continued to observe it on the remainder of the homeward ride, stopping twice more to observe.

When we arrived home, we climbed up to our flat roof. We could still see it, even though the entire valley of the city of Monterrey was now between us, the back side of Las Mitres and the rest of the range. The lights were still there. They had changed position again and were now staggered, one atop the other. They had been so bright that we could see the rock face behind it illuminated. As we watched, the lights dimmed down to about half their luminosity.

The Craft Revealed:

At this point, we could clearly see the structure of the craft. It was indeed a large disc with a sloped dome on top. By measuring with fingers at arm's length, Dr. Greer determined that the craft was between one-half to one full city block in size.

As the birds began to sing and the sky began to lighten, we bid goodbye and heartfelt thanks to our visitors for these remarkable experiences and went inside to sleep, and dream of them.

Final Notes: I wish to advise that the three persons who interacted with the craft as described above included three very responsible and stable individuals. Dr. Greer is a practicing trauma physician, father of four, world-renowned expert on extraterresrial intellignce. He is the founder of CSETI, and the visionary and guiding force of it. Our teammate from New York is cofounder of a research foundation, and is personal friends with world leaders in both the political and private sectors. CSETI COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT SUMMARY

Recent worldwide trends of increasing extraterrestrial activity, coupled with significant advancement in CSETI research results, suggest that imminent extraterrestrial events and CSETI initiatives will soon overtake current government policy on this issue. It is recommended that governments worldwide review and change existing policy to one of increasing openness, disclosure and cooperation with civilian research teams. (See section IV on Strategies and Rationale for Changing Government Policy).

Some UFOs are extraterrestrial spacecraft (ETS) which are piloted by extraterrestrial biological entities (EBEs) who originate on another planet, and most likely another star system.

· More than one extraterrestrial civilization is represented in the current activities involving earth.

· These extraterrestrial civilizations are working in concert and not competitively, although there is some specialization in function and activities for the various groups. This indicates that there exists either an emerging or well established organization for these groups.

· These beings have bases within this solar system and may maintain temporary bases on earth, particularly under water.

· The variety in sizes and shapes of ETS observed is due to: varying civilizations of origin, and more importantly, specialization of function, which include general reconnaissance, medical research and intelligence, earth environmental research, central command and base operations, energy generation and transfer, and human technology, military and space program research and reconnaissance.

· Sudden and fully open contact with human civilization has been avoided because of a number of interrelated factors, including:

the need to avoid an untimely disruption of earth civilization including military, political, geopolitical, cultural, economic, technological and religious upheaval;

risks to their own civilization and "people" as well as overall mission, given human xenophobia and tendencies towards violent armed reactions; and up to this time, such massive and open contact has not been necessary, and has not been consonant with their overall long term mission and purpose.

A Plan is in place to allow for gradually broader and deeper contact with human society and individuals so that humans may become accustomed to the reality of other intelligent beings in the universe, and so that needed research and observation may take place on both sides. Limited but increasing opportunities for bilateral and human initiated contact will occur in the reasonably near future.

Sudden and large scale contact will occur only in the event of a significant worldwide emergency (manmade or natural).

While ET observation and interaction with earth is probably an ancient as opposed to purely modern phenomenon, the marked increase in activity coinciding with World War II and the dawning of the "nuclear age" indicates that ETI are quite concerned about this transitional stage of human social evolution.

· · Extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI) technology is strictly guarded by both ETI and human governmental agencies because of its potential for military applications which would greatly threaten world security. It is imperative that this technology not find significant human applications until such time as the earth is ready for it

· The US government, at least at the level of a highly compartmentalized top secret group, has known about the reality of these ETS and their occupants since at least 1947. A strict secrecy has been maintained due to:

Fear of public panic and social disruption;

Security issues surrounding possible military and technology application of ETI technology, especially in the setting of a world beset with Cold War tensions and competing interests;

Uncertainty and mistrust regarding ETI motives and intentions;

Embarrassment and consternation over human military inability to secure world air space from repeated penetrations by ETS.

The U.S. government possesses several ETSs and the deceased bodies of several EBEs.

The nature of "reality" of these craft and these beings has been incorrectly characterized by some as belonging to "another dimension and reality" from this dimension. Unfortunately, these statements are made without fully considering what "this reality" is. A more correct understanding of this is that the Full Spectrum of Reality is a singular, integrated one which may be perceived wholly or in its various aspects, such perception being entirely dependent on the level of consciousness of the perceiver. The various aspects of "dimensions" of this reality, which are limitless in number, are not restricted to or by time and space as we know it commonly. These beings and their craft belong to the same Reality as humans, however, their advancement in the realms of physical science and the science of consciousness has given them competence in a broader aspect of the Full Spectrum of Reality than is usually experienced by humans. The difference, then, is one of degree and not fundamental reality, since humans potentially have access to all aspects of the Full Spectrum of Reality just as extraterrestrial beings do. These differences are not insurmountable, nor are they truly fundamental; in fact they are relative and only temporary. While these beings are utilizing and experiencing a broader aspect of the Full Spectrum of Reality, so too can and will humans, for we are as "inter dimensional'' by nature as they.

ETS energy and "propulsion" systems utilize principles and laws of the physical universe not yet fully appreciated by human science, and may include:

Gravity/anti-gravity and electromagnetic/gravity technology; Space energy and so-called hyper dimensional energy systems; Matter energy interchangeable technologies; and Possible Consciousness Assisted Technology (CAT) and Technology Assisted Consciousness (TAG).

Some, if not all, EBEs have advanced mental capabilities which include telepathy, precognition, remote viewing and others, indicating that they have developed the "science of consciousness" to a degree which parallels or surpasses their advanced physical technologies. Humans also possess these capabilities, but these remain largely undeveloped by most humans.

EBEs are more developed or advanced than humans in a number of respects, but are not superior to humans as beings. Our point of unity and equality with EBEs is in our mutual existence as conscious intelligent beings. While these various EBEs may have values and priorities which are different from those of some 20th century humans, their motives and ultimate intentions are non- hostile and do not include the acquisition or subjugation of the earth and its peoples.

The establishing of a lasting world peace and a just and effective world government is essential to the long-term ETl-Human relationship.

A comprehensive analysis of the UFO phenomenon, as well as original research and experiences of members of the CSETI CE-5 Initiative Working Group, has enabled us to make some specific conclusions about UFOs, Extraterrestrial Intelligence and their motives. The summation of this analysis, which follows, is intended to assist both groups and individuals in their efforts to understand this complex subject. We have recorded only those conclusions for which we have a high level of certainty.

GENERAL CONCLUSIONS

• Some UFOs are extraterrestrial spacecraft (ETS) which are piloted by extraterrestrial biological entities (EBEs) who originate on another planet, and most likely another star system.

• More than one extraterrestrial civilization is represented in the current activities involving Earth.

• These extraterrestrial civilizations are working in concert and not competitively, although there is some specialization in function and activities for the various groups. This indicates that there exists either an emerging or well established organization for these groups.

• These beings have bases within this solar system and may maintain temporary bases on Earth, particularly under water.

• While various reports and speculations exist, we cannot at this time definitely state which planets or star systems are the home systems for these beings. Any specific information on this subject is very likely to be incorrect due to the security considerations of these beings. That is, given human tendencies towards war, aggression and violence, open disclosure of their planets of origin would put these planets at potential risk should human military interests unravel the energy and propulsion technology of their craft.

• The variety in sizes and shapes of ETs observed is due to
  a) varying civilizations of origin, and more importantly,
  b) specialization of function, which include general reconnaissance, medical research, central command and base operations, energy generation and transfer, and human technology, military and space program research and reconnaissance.

• Sudden and fully open contact with human civilization has been avoided because of a number of interrelated factors, including:
  
  a) the need to avoid an untimely disruption of Earth civilization including military, political, geopolitical, cultural, economic, technological and religious upheaval;
  b) risks to their own civilization and 'people', as well as overall mission, given human xenophobia and tendencies towards violent armed reactions.

• A plan is in place to allow for gradually broader and deeper contact with human society and individuals so that humans may become accustomed to the reality of other intelligent beings in the universe, and so that needed research and observation may take place on both sides. Limited but increasing opportunities for bilateral and human initiated contact will occur in the reasonably near future.

• Sudden and large scale contact will occur only in the event of a significant world-wide emergency (man-made or natural).

• While ETI observation and interaction with Earth is probably an ancient as opposed to purely modern phenomenon, the marked increase in activity coinciding with World War II and the dawning of the 'nuclear age' indicates that ETI are quite concerned about this transitional stage of human social evolution. They are particularly concerned about human nuclear weapons and technology and their potential for world-wide destruction, and possibly for their potential threat to ETI, although this is nominal. These beings are further concerned with our peaceful transition to a world society, international peace, and the establishment of a just, effective and representative world government, expected to occur within 10 to 15 years or less.

• ETI technology is strictly guarded by both ETI and human governmental agencies because of its potential for military applications which would greatly threaten world security. It is imperative that this technology not found significant human applications until such time as the Earth attains international peace and an effective world government.

• The US government, at least at the level of a highly compartmentalized above top secret group, has known about the reality of these ETS and their occupants since at least 1947. A strict secrecy and a world-wide cover-up of these facts have been maintained due to:
  a) fear of public panic and social disruption
  b) security issues surrounding possible military and technology applications of ETI technology, especially in the setting of a world beset with Cold War tensions and competing interests. c) uncertainty and mistrust regarding ETI motives and ultimate intentions.
  d) embarrassment and consternation over human military inability to secure world air space from repeated penetrations by ETS
  e) embarrassment and loss of face resulting from disclosures concerning how this matter has been handled, such as the harassment and ridicule of innocent civilians and military personnel, the withholding of information from the public and Congress, etc.

• The US government possesses several ETS and the deceased bodies of several EBEs. While there is evidence to strongly suggest that these agencies are attempting to reverse-engineer these craft, such efforts have not been functionally successful, although a number of secondary and partial 'discoveries' have resulted from this research.

• The nature or 'reality' of these craft and these beings has been incorrectly characterized by some as belonging to 'another dimension or reality' from this dimension. Unfortunately, these statements are made without fully considering what 'this reality' is. A more correct understanding of this is that the Full Spectrum of Reality is a singular, integrated one which may be perceived wholly or in its various aspects, such perception being entirely dependent on the level of consciousness of the perceiver. The various aspects or 'dimensions' of this reality, which are limitless in number, are not restricted to or by time and space as we know it commonly. THE QUESTION OF INTENT

While not minimizing the strange and startling aspects of this phenomenon which some humans have experienced, our assessment of these visitors' motives and ultimate intentions, is that they are decidedly non-hostile. Their primary operations and activities center around:

• General reconnaissance of Earth and her societies

• Military(especially nuclear) observation and assessment

• Human social and psychological study and observation

• Human medical, physiological and genetic research and observation

• Observation and assessment of human mental and spiritual development

• Earth ecology research and documentation, including documentation of Earth life systems, and mineral, plant, and animal specimens

• Observation of human technology and technological developments

• Observation, active monitoring and if necessary limitation of human space programs, particularly those directed towards the nationalistic colonization of space

• Close and active monitoring of international conflicts and international relations

• Careful interaction with humans to convey certain information about themselves and to accustom humans to their presence

Our assessment is that these activities are derived from several ultimate motives, which include:

1. Pure study and research of a rapidly developing intelligent species(human) during a time of transition to a world community

2. A needed increase in ETI knowledge of world societies and human nature preparatory to future significant interaction, which will be mutual in nature, and which will eventually culminate in the introduction of Earth civilization into an inter-planetary network(this may require several centuries to complete)

3. Preparatory activities for continued readiness in the event that intervention is required during a major world emergency, such as a large scale nuclear war; such interventions would be in the protective form of -
   
   a) interception and destruction of Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs)
   b) alteration of missile coordinates and readiness
   c) emergency Earth based activities when and where warranted
   
   The minimum intervention necessary would be used, with the intention being the preservation of Earth as an inhabitable planet with adequate human resources remaining to sustain intelligent life here.

4. Emergency intervention in the event of an environmental or geological catastrophe of world wide dimensions

5. Preservation of Earth species, including human genetic preservation and/or augmentation as a precaution in the event of a worst case scenario (see above).

6. Protection of space from hostile or military utilization by human national interests.

7. ETI self-protective interests, insofar as humans have a strong recent history of coupling marked aggressiveness with rapid technological development; in this setting, monitoring and perhaps even limiting human capabilities may be important to ETI security - Human evolution to world peace, non-aggression and a world government would remove this motive as well as several of the motives listed above

8. ETI short and long time goals related to the attainment of a significant human paradigm shift from one of fragmentation/separation to one of unity, to include the unity of science and religion, world political and eventual spiritual unity, and universal unity. This paradigm shift is dependent on the development of human consciousness, which is of particular interest to ETI.

9. The preservation and advancement of intelligent life in the universe.

Background on the CE-5 (Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind) Initiative by CSETI (Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence) (Director: Steven Greer, MD - Website: www.cseti.org):

Definition: CE-5 is a term describing a fifth category of close encounters with Extraterrestrial Intelligence (ETI), characterized by mutual, bilateral communication rather than unilateral contact. The CE-5 Initiative has as its central focus bilateral ETI-human communication based on mutual respect and universal principles of exchange and contact. CE types 1-4 are essentially passive, reactive and ETI initiated. A CE-5 is distinguished from these by conscious, voluntary and proactive human-initiated or cooperative contacts with ETI. Evidence exists indicating that CE-5s have successfully occurred in the past, and the inevitable maturing of the human/ETI relationship requires greater research and outreach efforts into this possibility. While ultimate control of such contact and exchange will (and probably should) remain with the technologically more advanced intelligent life forms (i.e., ETI), this does not lessen the importance of conscientious, voluntary human initiatives, contact and follow-up to conventional CE-s types 1-4.

CSETI is the only worldwide effort to concentrate on putting trained teams of investigators into the field where 1) active waves of UFO activity are occurring, or 2) in an attempt to vector UFOs into a specific area for the purposes of initiating communication. Contact protocols include the use of light, sound, and thought. Thought - specifically consciousness - is the primary mode of initiating contact.

INTRODUCTION:

Following is a report concerning the RMIT Events of Jan. 30 - Feb. 4, 1993. This report is an assessment of these events by Steven M. Greer M.D. and relies on the written reports of the members of the team as well as his own experiences in Mexico.

In mid - January 1993, the members of the CSETI Executive Council and the CSETI Director learned of the continuing wave of Extraterrestrial activity in the volcanic zone outside Mexico City, Mexico. As recent as Jan. 1, 1993 we were told, at least 100,000 dwellers of Mexico City had seen an Extraterrestrial spacecraft (ETS) in broad daylight. Several videotapes were made of this bright, rapidly rotating disc as it hovered over the area, and the event was covered in the Mexican national media. This was only the most recent event in a wave of sightings which began on July 11, 1991 when, during the total eclipse of the sun, thousands of Mexicans observed a similar, if not identical, daylight disc over Mexico City and other nearby cities. (These events, along with numerous videotaped craft, are chronicled in a videotape by Lee Elders entitled "Messengers of Destiny").

Convinced that a truly significant Extraterrestrial event was continuing in the volcanic zone of Mexico, CSETI's Director activated the RMIT to investigate directly these events, and if possible, interact with the extraterrestrials. This brief trip, lasting 6 days from Jan.. 30 - Feb. 4 was primarily oriented towards only fact - finding and a preliminary investigation in advance of a more lengthy research trip in the future. However, as you will see we were to experience a series of full scale human - extraterrestrial interactions over the course of these few nights in Mexico.

The RMIT consisted of five people: Dr. Steven Greer, Director of CSETI; Dr. Joseph Burkes, emergency physician and Coordinator of the Los Angeles Area CSETI Working Group; Ms. Shari Adamiak, Coordinator of RMIT and Coordinator of the Denver area CSETI Working Group; Dr. Barbie Taylor, a Clinical Psychologist in Las Vegas, NV and "Ambassador at Large" for CSETI; and Mr. Jeff Baker, the documentation specialist for the team. The members of the team were selected according to

their ability to function well as a unified team
their experience with and dedication to the CE-5 Initiative*
complimenting yet diverse skills, abilities and characteristics - (for example Dr. Burkes, in addition to his formidable organizational skills, has a good command of Spanish)
their immediate availability for the research trip.
*Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind Initiative: Human - initiated contact or interaction with Extraterrestrial Intelligence or beings, often associated with UFO activity at other CE - contact levels.

Having obtained commitments from these five people, the decision was made to convene the team at the Mexico City Airport at approximately 4 PM on Jan.. 30, 1993. What was to follow was to change forever the lives of these five researchers, and indeed, the course of the young and emerging field of Extraterrestrial studies.

Before going further, I would like to thank Lee Elders for his advice and for the fine job he has done documenting this Mexican wave. Heartfelt thanks also to Ron Russell of Denver, who helped bring these events to our attention, and whose unavoidable absence from the team was a loss felt by all of us.

A very special "thank you" goes to each and every member of the team for their dedication, unity of purpose and sacrifice. While it is true that 'the whole is greater than the sum of its parts', it was the beautiful and selfless ability of "the parts" to give themselves to "the whole" team that made this RMIT such a success.


PRELUDE

Consciousness transcends space and time; it is bound by no time and no place, and yet it is present at every place and is witness to every time. It is subtle and all - pervading, yet it is at the very core of our own being: It is that whereby we are awake; it is that whereby we are. While we are generally focused - bound if you will - to one space and one time, consciousness is essentially unbounded - and therefore, so are we . . .

Upon activation of the RMIT on Jan. 17th, a series of unusual events occurred which may be viewed as coincidental by some, synchronous by others - or even premonitory. Significantly, multiply witnessed "UFO" events began in Denver and the Asheville area where three of the five RMIT members reside as soon as the decision to activate the RMIT was made. In the week before RMIT left for Mexico, dozens of people in the Asheville area witnessed craft, some at close range, predominantly in the part of the country where the local CE-5 Working Group conducts its research. The night the decision to get to Mexico was made, a man called the CSETI office and reported that he was witnessing a huge, silent object gliding over the wilderness area near Lake Logan, very near to the site where the Executive Council had been conducting CE-5 research the night before. Coincidence? Perhaps. But at the minimum these and other events gave us the sense that something very significant awaited us in Mexico.

Then on Monday, Jan.. 25, 1993, I had a very lucid dream involving a place and time which we later learned was exactly one week in the future. We were in a green field in Mexico, and the moon was bright, greater than 1/2 full, hanging in the sky in the late afternoon, when a disc shaped UFO came into view. As it passed in the area of the sky near the moon, it connected with the team, and as we thought "move to the left", it moved to the left, and then we thought 'move to the right' and it moved to the right, and so on. This interaction was remarkable for how natural and effortless it seemed, not withstanding the strange nature of the event! This lucid, full color dream ended with a sense that something extraordinary awaited us in Mexico, now only a few days away. At the time I had this 'dream', I was completely unaware of the present phase of the moon, or the phase at which we would find it seven days hence.

But seven days hence, on Feb. 1st, 1993 we found ourselves in such a Mexican field, with the moon exactly the size and phase in which it appeared in the dream, and an event of unparalleled significance soon enveloped us. Another coincidence? Perhaps. But I think not, and even at the time of the dream, I knew it presaged extraordinary events. Convinced of this, I immediately told my wife, Emily, about this dream, and also shared it with Shari Adamiak, Jeff Baker and others.

Nor was this the only such experience involving consciousness during the week of our departure. On Friday night, Jan.. 29th, as I slept in Denver awaiting our departure the next day, I again had a very lucid dream. We were driving in a small car up a very steep road in Mexico winding through dense and cool woods after dark. Then as we rounded a curve we could see dozens, then hundreds of spacecraft brilliantly white, ascending from below a ridge into the sky. The entire sky was eventually filled with these objects. I was amazed not only at the sight of these objects, but by the fact that the forest was so dense. Since I had never been to Mexico, I assumed, wrongly, that the terrain would be desert and scrub brush, devoid of trees, and certainly lacking cool green forest! But 24 hours later, there we were driving in a small car, through the darkness into the cool high forest as the NW. slope of MT Popocatepetl (MT Popo) and our first experience awaited us there . .

Coincidence? Perhaps many of the secrets of outer space lie within inner space, in consciousness, in the essential non local nature of mind. Here we are reminded of the statement by the great physicist Erwin Schrödinger ". . . The overall number of minds is just one." and of the ancient mystic Ali who said . . . "Dost thou reckon thyself only a puny form When within thee the Universe is folded?"

I will admit that sharing this is not easy, since I know it will be used to debunk, attack and dismiss us. Nevertheless, now is not the time for secrets. A very large and emerging truth is this: That consciousness - mind stuff, if you will - is one; that as humans, we have access to this one mind; that every conscious, sentient being in the Universe is a window through which this same one mind is shining. And that at least some, if not all, of the Extraterrestrial civilizations visiting earth realize this, and most likely have applied this to science, technology, communication, and perhaps even to transportation.

The constricted view of mind as being separate from matter is an archaic intellectual construct akin to the idea of the sun revolving around the earth. And I believe, as a scientist and researcher, that we ignore this emerging truth of the non - space / non - time nature of consciousness at our own loss and peril. For could it be that star - faring civilizations, experiencing the vast distances and attendant limitations of radio and other electromagnetic communications have focused on and developed the ultimate instant network: Mind? Indeed, since non local mind is bound by neither space nor time, one may receive a communication even before it is sent . . .


DAY ONE - Saturday, January 30, 1993

All five members of the team arrived between 4 and 5 PM, and after renting two small cars, we set out for our first stage in the volcanic zone. Joe Burkes and Jeff Baker had a bright red VW beetle while the rest of us drove a four door Nissan. The two groups communicated via small radio devices which had a limited range, but which were nonetheless helpful. Day One brought Lesson One from the school of hard knocks: Do not rent a car out of Mexico City without a Mexican driver! Within a few miles of the airport, we were stopped by corrupt, armed police who eventually robbed us. Their initial demand was for 300,000 pesos, but thanks to Joe's Spanish and negotiating skills, we got their extortionist demands lowered to 50,000 pesos (or 16 - 18 U.S. dollars). Initially, they confiscated our drivers licenses and threatened us with jail (the fact that no crime had been committed was immaterial). I mention this only as a warning to others who may travel there: this type of police harassment and corruption is very common in Mexico City - so go at your own risk. We recommend flying to an outlying city, or engaging a Mexican Driver. At the minimum, you need a Mexican contact, preferably an official, who can come to your assistance if needed.

We arrived at our first nights destination, Amecameca, at around 9 PM, and after unpacking and a brief meal, set out for a road which went up to the pass between MT Popo and MT. Iztaccihuatl (MT Izzy). I was singularly struck by the cool green forests, the road and the entire setting which perfectly matched the previous night's dream. We found a grassy area off of the road, which was infrequently traveled at that hour, and set up the research site at around 11 PM.

Then just prior to 12:30 AM, the entire group was struck by a brilliant beam of light, amber / golden in color, which suddenly emerged from the northwest sky. There were no airplane, cars or other people or homes anywhere near the remote research site. Where did this beam of light originate? Except to say that it emerged from the darkened sky, nobody can say for sure. I was startled by the light since I was facing NW and it struck me directly in the face.

This event seemed to be a contact of some type - several of us felt a distinct tingling on our skin from the light / energy beam. And the light beam struck the group after approximately 1 and 1/2 hours of Coherent Thought Sequencing (CTS), high-powered light work and use of on - site beeping tones - (all part of the CSETI CE-5 Initiative contact trilogy, wherein we intentionally attempt to contact ETI).

Later, at approximately 1 AM, an amber globe was seen coming up from the West. It disappeared briefly, but after signaling in that direction with a high powered light, it reappeared and flashed a bright white color. It then moved from left to right and was lost to view. Could this object have been related to the bright beam of light which struck the group 30 minutes earlier? At a little past 2 AM, we departed for our hotel, wondering what awaited us in the coming days. Certainly, our first few hours in Mexico were event - filled, even intimate in the nature of the light beam experiences. There was something very direct and personal about how the group was engulfed in this light beam, however briefly. As I prepared for bed, I wondered if the group had been 'scanned' by some craft which had locked onto our group. Or were they simply returning our light beams in an enigmatic fashion?


DAY TWO - Sunday, January 31, 1993

The next day, Sunday, Jan.. 31, 1993, we awakened to the color and bustling activity of the town of Amecameca. After consulting as a group, and studying the maps of the area and past sightings reports, we decided to leave the area for a remote site on the other side of the volcanoes. (The exact site will remain unnamed in this report, since we consider it an active RMIT site and we wish to preserve its integrity and security for future RMIT use).

Here, a note about the volcanic zone is in order. Above Mexico City looms the largest volcano in the world. At just under 18,000 feet, it is snow capped at the summit and is a magnificent sight. Around the time of the solar eclipse and onset of the current wave of ETS sightings. The volcano Popo became more active, and vulcanologists have warned of a possible calamitous eruption, with attendant earthquakes in the Mexico City area. 30 million people would be affected, perhaps catastrophically by such an eruption of Popo. Indeed, the local village had organized an emergency evacuation committee, and there is genuine concern that such an eruption may be imminent.

There is speculation that the intense presence of ETS in the area is related to this recent upsurge in Mt. Popo's activity. Some believe the Extraterrestrial people are monitoring the situation and may even be involved in a project to somehow reduce the force of any future eruption. I must admit, that both our retrospective survey of past sightings and our own real - time observations lead me to conclude that the Extraterrestrials are there for reasons related to the volcano's recent increase in activity. To precisely what end remains to be discovered.

Even during our brief stay in the area, we observed an increase in the steam and smoke coming from Popo, and, given our very close proximity to it, I wondered more than once if my "last will and testament" was in good order! Certainly, we discussed an evacuation plan of our own, but luckily never had to use it. The spacecraft which have been seen - and videotaped from a distance - are of two types:

(1) A large, triangular craft with a light at each apex and a red light in the center, very similar to those seen in Russia and Belgium: These are 300 - 800 feet in diameter, and appear at night, usually fairly late, in the areas adjacent to the volcanoes.

(2) The second type is a silver disc, probably 20 - 30 feet in diameter, seen at night and during the day time. Multiple daylight videotapes of these exist.

In the coming days we were fortunate to see and interact with both of these types of ETS. One the night of January 31, 1993, we set up the research site in a large field off of a road which connected two small villages. This site was on a high plateau of 7,000 ft. elevation, at he vary base of MT. Popo. In the moonlight you could see Popo and Izzy looming directly above us, at once beautiful and menacing, with steam rising from the gaping opening at the summit.

After checking the various equipment - still cameras, video camera, micro cassette recorders, radar detector, high powered lights, audio tones etc. -, we reviewed the team roles and prepared for the night's research. In the event of a landing and opportunity to board a craft, the Boarding Party order was reviewed; Communicators, who would attempt to communicate with Extraterrestrials, were assigned roles; and Jeff Baker preferred to attempt to document any CE-5 which may occur. having evaluated the site and made preparations we began the CE-5 Initiative protocols. No ETS were seen, but as we were leaving the site, well after 1 or 2 AM, the radar detector started signaling at full impulse. There were no microwave or radar sources, no cars on the road and no source for energy to activate the detector. The first night: Light. The second night: Sound. The third night: ?


DAY THREE - Monday, February 1st, 1993

The main purpose of the CSETI project is to develop teams of humans capable of establishing mutual, sustainable, peaceful and diplomatic relationships with any and all E.T. civilizations visiting earth. Extensive training together is required for the team to attain the level of unity and congruence needed to realize this goal. This project, and the CSETI team, is without known precedent; it is a unique attempt to establish the foundations of open interplanetary relations.

The bonding among the members which is required to create such a coherent and highly functional team occurs by planning, working, exploring and living together during the research project. On this day, Monday, February 1st, we undertook an arduous expedition which deepened the unity of the team, and created the energy and potential for the extraordinary beauty of that same night.

Setting out on foot, we traveled over primitive trails through the Mexican countryside to a pyramid-shaped mountain noted for it's proximity to the epicenter of many sightings. The five of us set out on foot for the 10-12 mile journey to this remote and enchanting spot. Using a compass and a few good hunches, we picked our way along the unmarked route, which was passable only on foot or by donkey. Arriving at the base of the pyramid-shaped mountain, Jeff Baker volunteered to scale the slopes with me while the others rested down below. What Jeff and I thought was a straight climb up turned out to be a series of ridges and valleys which led to the final steep climb up. En route, we passed several ancient native ruins, and we could sense the rhythms of a long-vanished civilization teeming around us. From the summit we observed the heart of the wilderness of the volcanic zone and could clearly see the entire region, which was being frequented by some E.T. civilization.

After returning to the group, we all departed for the long trek back. The day was growing late and we were pressed to get out of the wilderness before nightfall. On the way back we passed through a certain field in which, on the way up, we had sensed a strange presence---like someone or something unusual had been there, or was perhaps still there. On this pass through the field, we again remarked on the unusual feeling of the place, and as we looked up we saw a large cloud, high in the zenith, which looked exactly like an eagle with feathery wings outstretched and head pointing to our research site! It was a magical moment, and we felt it gave promise to the coming night's efforts at contact.

The eagle, which is an important symbol in ancient Mayan teachings, shared the blue sky with the moon. As I looked into the sky, and over the terrain, I knew that it was THIS sky, and THIS moon, in that enchanted land which was seen exactly one week before in the dream. It was then that I knew an event of great significance awaited us.

For in the one mind, beyond space and beyond time, the end can be seen in the beginning.

This night we set up the research site in the same field at 9:30, and again went through our check list of procedures and equipment. The camcorder, a Canon LI Pro with 30-60x magnification and a 5 Lux was set up, and through it you could see the moon and the volcano clearly. It and the other cameras were in fine working order, and so we began our contact protocols.

On the previous night, local villagers had been up very late, noisily celebrating a religious festival; I was a bit unsure of the security of the site. On this night, the area was quiet by 11:00 or so, and we settled into our research protocols, undisturbed and without incident.

Then, at 11:45 pm, a CE-5 of profound significance occurred. The entire group was performing CTS, and I was in a state aware only of "one mind". Suddenly, I sensed---knew---to sit up and look to my right, and there it was: a large amber craft moving obliquely away from us in the northwest sky.

My immediate sense was that it was looking for us, that it was over the area of the pyramid-shaped mountain and the field of the eagle cloud. I immediately notified the team saying: "This is it - this is the real thing!" With both CTS and powerful lights, we signaled for the spacecraft to come over to our location. IMMEDIATELY, it turned off it's present course, and moved directly towards us.

Initially, the spacecraft was 2-5 miles away, but as it silently glided towards us it came within 1500-3000 feet, and only 200-500 feet in the air! We immediately realized the historic significance of this event: a team of humans had consciously and intentionally vectored a spacecraft into a research area. It was clearly responding by changing course and coming directly to us, now in an apparent landing approach, or at least landing approach simulation.

By now the exact shape of the ETS could be seen: it was a huge 300-900 foot diameter triangular-shaped structured craft, with a light on the underside at each apex and a reddish glowing light in the very center on the underside. This was no vague distant light in the sky, but a large craft with technological lights. We noted that even though the wind was coming from it's direction, no sound was heard whatsoever!

The excitement, if not astonishment, of the team was obvious, and yet all performed beautifully in the coming moments.

Jeff ____ moved the video camera to the adjacent field, and set out our portable landing strobe lights - indicating to the E.T..'s that we welcomed a landing, should this be safe and feasible for them.

The rest of the team prepared for boarding and I sent signals with the high-powered light. The spacecraft made a sweeping arc, approximately 180 degrees, and then came straight towards us in an apparent landing approach. As I signaled to it, it returned by illuminating large and powerful lights on the now "front" Antero - grade of the triangular craft.

It descended to 200-300 feet, coming straight towards us, and as it did so, it greatly increased the luminosity of the front lights, as if signaling to land. We could also see a small "scout ship", red- orange in color, floating alongside and behind the large triangle.

As Jeff ____ activated the high-powered camcorder, he noticed that no image was coming through. The camera, which had worked perfectly before the event, was now non-operational. Even his hand and flashlight in front of the camera lens were not visible in the viewfinder!

Moreover, the still cameras (Canon EOS system with 70-210 lens), would not operate, nor would Shari Adamiak's little instamatic! It was clear to us that some interference prohibited the filming of this very close range event. WAS THIS INTENTIONAL JAMMING of the equipment or an inadvertent electromagnetic effect of the ship itself?

About the time Jeff tried to film the spacecraft, it aborted it's landing approach, turned to our left (east-northeast), and began moving away from the site. However, in a beautiful gesture of continued communication, the receding spacecraft illuminated it's retrograde lights and clearly, unequivocally signaled with us as we flashed our lights to it. It was a lovely and poignant "good-bye."

In one to three minutes, it dipped below a nearby ridge, and was not seen again at close range that night. The entire event had lasted about ten minutes, and we all felt that we had been "tested" to see how we would perform in a landing simulation. I believe we passed the test. There was great joy and excitement in the team, and we knew we had just witnessed the most significant group CE-5 in history.

After the spacecraft left, we were astonished, perhaps dismayed, to see that the powerful Canon LI Pro Camcorder was fully operational again! We have in our archives the immediate post-event footage, showing distant village lights and clearly recording our excited voices as we discussed the close encounter, then only minutes old.

But as a team---and as an organization attempting mutual, diplomatic contact with ETI, we were left with some hard questions, and a dilemma:

Why did the cameras fail just at that moment, when they worked fine before AND after the event? Was this an inadvertent side-effect of their energy and propulsion systems on our electronics at very close range, or was it evidence of deliberate "jamming" of the equipment, with the message, "NO, not now, not at this close range with a high magnification camera. We do not want to be documented for the world at close range yet, and if we were, it may endanger our mission, and your (CSETI) mission as well....."?

Were we "breaching diplomatic protocol" by unilaterally attempting to film the event at close range?

Our policy is to document fully SO LONG AS THE PROCESS OF DOCUMENTING DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE CONTACT-EVENT ITSELF. Had we crossed the line and shortened the event by trying to document it? These and many other questions occupied our thoughts, and continue to be a source of policy discussion within CSETI to this day.

Later that night, at 12:20 a.m., we saw three small red, white and blue-lighted craft which moved into a vertical configuration, one stacked upon the other. Shari Adamiak and I saw a beam of light descend from the craft, vertically down to the distant ridge over which they were hovering. Then at 2:15 a.m., another small craft was seen moving towards the west. It descended behind the pyramid mountain, to which we had hiked earlier that day. Then, after the moon set behind the volcano, we noticed in the sky another strange cloud formation. This time it was not an eagle, but a humanoid face: a strangely shaped ring of clouds made a head, and two bright stars made two eyes, staring from deep space across the Mexican volcanoes. This day, one week from the night of the strange dream, showed us that dreams do come true.


DAY FOUR - Tuesday, February 2nd, 1993

After a day of exploring the region for other suitable sites, we prepared once again for another night of research. Earlier that day, in the morning, we had held a debriefing and consultation on the previous nights' historic CE-5. It was a beautiful and transcendent event, and the memory of it, while still fresh seemed almost dream-like, or like it had been in a movie. Five people in a field, vectoring in a massive triangular spacecraft one to three football fields in size, signaling to it, preparing for it to land, signaling good-bye to it.....

During this debriefing, we discussed many issues, including the camera failure and simultaneous departure of the ETS. But a real-time recording of my comments that morning revealed personal concerns about the security of the site, concerns which, as you will see, were somewhat prescient. Here's a quote from the transcript of the actual tape: Steven Greer: "Number one, ..I think there are other considerations---again THEIR security. They are on a mission here and they have certain security requirements. And Number two, the location where we are doing this. There's a road that connects two towns that goes along right adjacent to the field. There are people up at that hour. We don't know who has guns and who doesn't... So it's not a totally secured site... I'm quite sure they (the E.T..'s) had concerns about the site."

That night, February 2nd, we set out for the field in a steady, cold rain. We remained in the cars with the rear of the cars backed up to each other. Both the rain and the previous night's experience with the cameras convinced us to leave the cameras packed. Then, at 9:36 p.m. an ETS was seen again, directly over the pyramid mountain - right at the apex of the pyramid where Jeff and I had been standing the day before. Barbie Taylor and I saw it clearly through the binoculars. It was amber-colored, moving to the west towards Mount Popo under a cloud ceiling of about 12,000 feet.

Then, at around 10:30 p.m., I sensed danger to the west of the field. We saw someone with a light, acting as if he was imitating our overhead light work. Suddenly, a powerful gunshot blast echoed through the area and I remotely viewed, but could not physically see, a figure headed our way across the field. Sensing a serious danger to the team, I asked that we all evacuate the area, with lights off, and rendezvous on the paved road. The team responded immediately and left without incident. Jeff later confirmed that he saw a figure coming across the field, and was half-way to us when I gave the order to leave.

It appears the concerns expressed that morning about the security of our site were well-founded! In retrospect, we were thankful for the rain, because it forced us to stay in the cars and packed up.

Some of the members of the team were fairly shaken-up by this event, but after about 30-45 minutes of debriefing, we settled into a new site directly adjacent to the road. Then, at 11:45 p.m., the exact same time as the previous night's CE-5, we saw the same huge triangular spacecraft floating silently along the ridge just to our northeast. This time it was only 100-200 feet in the air, and we could see two of the three apex lights, and the central red light underneath the structure. Then, as I said, "Do CTS, and get the light out to signal to it ", it instantly illuminated massive lights which dramatically filled the humid air in front of the craft! Was this, too, a coincidence, or had they heard my voice, or even detected the thought form?

At this point it moved below our level on the other side of the ridge, and we never saw it emerge from that area again.


DAY FIVE - Wednesday, February 3, 1993

This was our last full day in Mexico, and we took much of the day to relax and reflect on the momentous events of the previous 48 hours.

We found another site near some old ruins, and arrived at 9:20 p.m. As soon as we arrived on site, as we were getting out of our cars, we saw a brightly-lit craft, again over by the pyramid mountain. Through binoculars, it appeared to be the triangular craft. It was moving from the east-southeast to west-southwest position. When I flashed to it, it emitted a very large beam of light in response.

At 9:40 p.m., we saw another ETS, silently moving towards the pass below Popo and Izzy. Towards the end of the sighting, it began to emit a bright strobing light, very similar to the craft videotaped by some villagers earlier. We noted that we had a sighting last night at 9:36 p.m., about the same time.

Suddenly, at 10:35 p.m., we saw two disc-shaped craft floating by in tandem, with rotating colored lights apparent. Joe Burkes signaled to them, and one flashed back in response. This sighting lasted seven minutes, and the craft moved from east to west, over the pyramid mountain. Again, they were silent.

Then at 11:40 p.m., we again saw the familiar triangular craft, some distance away, again near the pyramid-shaped mountain, moving eastward. While signaling to it, the craft became much brighter for a brief period then dimmed back down, moving behind a ridge directly to our north-northeast.

We left this site at 2:00 a.m. to, as Shari Adamiak stated, "get some good rest for our long drive tomorrow, and having to deal with the shake-down factor in Mexico City." How True.!

Before leaving Day Five, I should note that Joe Burkes, Barbie Taylor and Jeff Baker had visited a village near our research site earlier in the day. While at a local restaurant they saw a daylight flying disc, at fairly close range, for a few seconds before it disappeared into a cloud. Dr. Burkes saw rectangular porthole-like structures and estimated it at 20-30 feet in diameter, approximately one-half mile away.

As it turned out, this brief sighting was a prelude to three more daylight discs which would "buzz" our team during our final 24 hours in Mexico.


DAY SIX - Thursday, February 4th, 1993

It is almost unbelievable what has happened in just a few days. What might be achieved if we could send a team down, to an even more remote and secure site, for two or three weeks? With some reluctance, (and with some dread concerning what might await us back in Mexico City), we left our village and got on a toll road outside Pueblo.

At 10:40 a.m., directly ahead of us in a crystal blue sky, Barbie Taylor and I saw a brilliant silver disc. It hovered briefly in front of us, then streaked off to the east.....and disappeared.

To our astonishment, five minutes later another one - or the same one returning - did the same thing! As it hovered in front of us, we got the distinct impression that this was a send-off, a good-bye of some sort. But it was not the final good-bye......

For as Shari and I sat on our Delta flight and taxied out onto the Mexico City runway, yet another silver disc appeared, hovering briefly, and then was lost behind a billboard. It was time to go home.....

In about one year, the CSETI team has had a massive triangular spacecraft hover in a cloud overhead in Belgium (January 1992); has been greeted by 4 ETS outside Pensacola Florida - signaling with them for 10-15 minutes; has witnessed a CSETI-conceived and projected design appear in a field as a crop circle in July 1992; has witnessed the near landing of a 100 foot diameter ET craft which signaled with us in a field at Alton Barnes, England (July 27, 1992); and now has made contact on multiple occasions in the volcanic zone of Mexico City.

What the coming months and years will bring can only be discerned in part. But of this we are certain: we have begun a journey which will take us to the stars and back, and which will change the world as we know it.

In 1993 Dr. Steven Greer, director of the Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence(CSETI), led a Rapid Mobilization Investigative Team(RMIT) to Mexico to study the ongoing wave of UFO sightings there. One of the researchers Dr. Burkes' published his account of that investigation in "Unicus" magazine, Vol. 2, No. 1, 1993. That article edited by the author has been made available for reproduction to the general public with his permission.

The following is the article written by Dr. Joseph Burkes:

The Center for the Study of Extraterrestrial Intelligence (CSETI), is a scientific research organization dedicated to the better understanding of Extraterrestrial Intelligences (ETI) and their civilizations. CSETI believes that the extraterrestrial hypothesis is not just a theory, but is a fact of life. CSETI is attempting to perform real time research of UFOs and ETs by employing specific techniques and prearranged methods of attraction, or as CSETI's director Dr. Steven Greer calls it "vectoring in an ET's spacecraft to a carefully chosen research site." At these sites, investigators attempt to peacefully interact with an extraterrestrial spacecraft and its occupants by using a variety of techniques. This process includes using powerful lights, meditation and playing tape recorded sounds obtained during sightings of ET craft.

CSETI members use these techniques in locations where there have been waves of UFO sightings. So far, the results have been quite impressive. Dr. Greer started this international organization after having a transformational encounter of his own. Dr. Greer calls these human initiated contacts with the ETI, Close Encounters of the Fifth Kind (CE-5), and has successfully facilitated such interactions on numerous occasions not only in the U.S. and Europe, but also in Mexico.

I was selected to join the Mexican investigation, because I speak Spanish and more importantly, because I have been leading a group of Los Angeles based CSETI researchers since August of 1993. As coordinator for the L.A. group, I have been practicing my hiking skills by regularly leading our team into remote locations in the Southern California area to make contact with ETI.

These skills came in very handy during our investigation in Mexico. Upon arriving in Mexico City, we immediately drove to the base of an active volcano and set up camp. The team consisted of five members. For security reasons, the exact location of our research sites cannot be given at this time. In 1992, during an investigation that was being conducted in England, hordes of tabloid journalists and uninvited UFO enthusiasts invaded the private farm where Dr. Greer was leading a team effort. Some of these unruly intruders had to be forcible removed and several arrests were made. Because the Mexico UFO sightings are very active, and an important part of CSETI's ongoing research, the term "volcanic zone" will be used for our research location.

The first night after driving up the mountain road on the slope of a volcano, we set up our camera equipment, radar detector (radar detectors pick up microwaves and can serve as inexpensive UFO alarms), and sleeping bags in a clearing on a hillside surrounded by pine trees. From this site we had a good view of the town below. We watched as one UFO appeared, then possibly two, over the town below. They were amber-colored glowing globe-shaped objects which behaved as though they were intelligently controlled. When Dr. Greer aimed his half a million candlepower light to signal the object, it appeared to signal back.

The sighting of a globe-shaped UFO had been described to local investigators several weeks prior to our visit. We later obtained a copy of a home video which showed just such an object taken at twilight from a local restaurant during a wedding party. During our first night on the volcano, the temperature dropped into the low thirties and Dr. Greer was suddenly hit by a powerful amber-colored beam of light that appeared to come from the sky although we could see no identifiable source. We were very surprised by this flash of light and no ill effects were felt.

The next day, we traveled to a new location where according to local authorities, sighting of UFOs during both day and night are a common occurrence. They told us that 80% of the population has seen a UFO and that many of these sightings are close enough to see the details of the UFO's structure. We found a research site in a field that was in full view of an 18,000 foot high volcano named Popocatepetl.

The first night we saw a large number of nocturnal lights that moved silently back and forth between the nearby volcano's in an almost shuttle like activity. Although we signaled at them numerous times, we were unable to attract any to our research site. However the next night we were successful beyond my wildest dreams. Around 11:45 p.m. Dr. Greer directed our attention to a light that was moving obliquely near our position. We excitedly began signaling it with our lights, and it changed direction directly towards us. As it approached, we could see that it was triangular shaped with a white light at each corner and a red beacon in the center. It was totally silent, highly maneuverable and came towards us in a wide arc. Flying close behind the craft was another smaller craft which seemed to be escorting the larger ship that was a least 300 feet across. The actual span of that beautiful, dark and silent craft may have actually been closer to two or possibly three football fields in size.

The craft descended to less than 500 feet and turned on an incredibly powerful bank of forward mounted lights. It slowed down considerably while continuing to respond to Dr. Greer's light signals. As we each rushed to our camera equipment, things started to go wrong. The craft stopped its descent and its flight behavior changed dramatically. Up until then, the UFO had appeared to be simulating the flight pattern of a conventional aircraft intending to land. Instead it slowly started to turn in a wide arc, which allowed us to clearly see its underside. Even though it aborted its false landing, the craft continued to answer our light signals.

As all this was happening, we suddenly realized that all our cameras, video, 35mm. automatic SLR, and even a cheap 110 spring activated camera were not operational. The video was clearly on but nothing was being recorded and we even checked to see if the lens cap was off! Our seven hundred dollar 35 mm camera was also on, yet it would not function and the Brownie- type camera would not even click when the button was pushed. It appeared as if someone or something did not want us to document this encounter with any type of photographs. We checked out all the equipment later, and it worked normally for the reminder of our trip.

Although this event was the highlight of our journey, other strange and fascinating events also occurred. The next night a light rain us in our vehicles and we had to keep watch of the skies through our windshields. After a while, we were able to shine our lights into the sky again. As we were signaling any possible activity nearby, we noticed a flashlight at the end of the field that was directed up into the sky, mocking the movement of our lights. Suddenly, there was the sound of an explosion coming from a shotgun blast across the field, and we noticed the shadowy figure of a man moving rapidly towards us. Without a moment's hesitation, Dr. Greer gave the order to evacuate. With our headlights turned off,we drove at high speed along the bumpy dirt road to the paved highway that led back to town.

We all felt that was a close call and that our efforts at interplanetary diplomacy could have been ended by an angry Mexican farmer. That frightening experience caused us to move to a new site a short distance away where the locals regularly observe UFO activity. That night, much to our amazement, at about the same time of night as the other sighting, a triangular shaped craft appeared over the ridge on the horizon. As Dr. Greer started to reach for his light to signal the craft, it rapidly pulsed two flashes of light at us and then quickly turned to the north and descended behind a small hill and was out of view. It seemed be more than a coincidence. It was as if it were looking for us.

The next day we visited the local restaurant where the globe-like strobing UFO had been videotaped. The manager told us about a haunting experience that two children had undergone several months before. While walking on the slopes of the volcano with their farm animals, they encountered a small gray-white being without ears or a mouth. He had large dark eyes, and he appeared to be able to communicate without speaking. The children were told by this being that the nearby volcano was going to erupt, and that they should not be afraid. The strange being told them that he and his friends would keep them from harm. What followed was even more enigmatic. The gray being said that there was going to be a war and that it would start in New York. According to the manager who knew the children, they did not know where or even what New York was. They were poor, had no television and knew little of current events. They reportedly had to be told what New York was, because they had never heard the word before.

This account held much interest for the local villagers since the volcano, Popocatepetl, has now become active. From the base of our research site, we observed white smoke continuously pouring out of its summit. The government is aware of the situation and has issued warnings to the local population to formulate evacuation plans.

In the parking lot of the restaurant, just prior to our interview with the manager, Dr. Taylor, Jeff Baker and I saw a metallic disc with no wings or identifiable markings flying towards the volcano into a cloud bank. The sighting lasted less than ten seconds, and I got the distinct impression that it had rectangular portholes. The craft appeared to be a small, perhaps twenty to thirty feet across and was less than one kilometer away when it entered the clouds at a steep angle, but it did not appear to emerge from the other side. This sighting seemed to be beginning of a rash of sightings that followed the next day, February 4, 1993. It was our last day in Mexico and Dr. Greer was driving the lead car when he spotted two more similar looking discs. Dr. Greer and Shari Adamiak even spotted one hovering near the end of the runway as we were departing. Prior to leaving, we had a heart warming meeting with three Mexican researchers who shared their close encounters with us. We pledged international cooperation in our efforts as citizens for open diplomacy with ETI. They promised to help us on any future trips to Mexico and they even expressed interest in sponsoring a workshop to teach CSETI's contact protocols.

This exciting and memorable experience has confirmed for me the validity of our approach and I believe that we can better understand ETI by willfully initiating open contact. Our organization is young and our results are still in their preliminary stages, but the prospects are quite promising. Prior to traveling to Mexico, I thought CSETI's stated goal of a peaceful, mutually beneficial relationship with ETI, while being visionary and very positive, could only be achieved far off in the distant future. I now feel that this may not be the case and that the goal of having a fully conscious on-board face to face meeting may occur sooner than I thought possible. Our persistent request to document these encounters with video and other photographic technology may not initially have been honored, nevertheless, with a relationship that appears to be growing in trust and cooperation, even this troublesome technical difficulty may soon be resolved.

(The 9th Alleged ET Implant Removal By Dr. Roger Leir & Team)

Tim Cullen is a hard working cement contractor from Yuma, Colorado. He was raised there, and resides with his wife Janet, and three daughters. Three things happened to Cullen in 1978 that changed his life forever. He suffered a terrible car accident, saw his first UFO, and suddenly realized that both events had appeared to him in dreams well before the actual occurrences. Was he then also psychic? "

The events that have happened to me over the past twenty-seven years have had an enormous effect on my life and what I believe," Cullen, a practicing Catholic, told me.

"In a short span of time in 1978 it was revealed to me that we are not the only intelligent life in the universe, and it was also proven to me that God is with us always, without a doubt."

On April 2, 1978 Tim Cullen dreamed that he was in a terrible car accident. On April 9, 1978, he and his friend Ken Ruberg, were driving on Highway 34 when Tim realized he was living out his dream.

"I thought about stopping and going back to townbut didn't," Tim said.

Seconds later, he rolled the car five times, breaking his neck on the first roll. Ruberg helped Cullen up out of the ditch, and waved down a passing station wagon.

They took Cullen to the nearest hospital. The event was a replay of his dream. While in the hospital, under sedation, Cullen dreamed of an encounter with a UFO. Returning home from a medical check-up in Denver on May 30, 1978, Tim and his wife Janet, a registered nurse, were driving north on Highway 59 near the Vernon Road junction (about a quarter mile north of it).

It was dark, after 11:00pm at night. Tim saw a large dimly lit object pass in front of the car, go behind a low hill, and re-emerge then, "It went out a ways, along side, and as I brought the car down to a stop, it came back toward us a bit. I backed the car up, and the UFO went out to the west of us. It came in under the power and telephone lines and hovered over a pasture.

"It was about a hundred foot long and twenty foot wide, and about ten foot high," Cullen relates.

"It didn't make any noise. There were two diffused lights that shone at the back of the craft, one a light yellow, and the other red.

We couldn't see very good. We sat there and stared at it for awhile. After we looked at the two lights for a few minutes I turned to my wife and told her we might as well go on to town."

Janet was five months pregnant with their first child. The Cullens have no memory of being taken aboard the craft, nor of any missing time.

"Now, when I think about it, when I turned and started driving, I did have an odd feeling, but it didn't really register with me. I remember coming back to Yuma, but not looking at a clock. I was kind of shocked by the whole thing. I didn't really think of looking at a clock," Cullen said.

Twenty years later in 1998, while setting rebar at a job, Tim Cullen hit his thumb with a hammer. Sometime later, he thought the finger might be dislocated so he went to see Dr. Mark Hubner at the Yuma Clinic. The doctor suggested they take an X-ray. On returning with the film, Dr. Hubner asked, "Did you know you have a piece of metal in your arm?"

At that moment, Tim Cullen knew what the object was. He knew that he and Janet had experienced missing time on May 30, 1978. In 1980, Cullen experienced another encounter, at exactly the same spot! The craft hovered and two diffused yellow lights came on. Then one started blinking, and he stared at it.

"This can't be happening!" he thought. "Not right here!"

The craft kept moving in back of, and out from behind a low hill. Then it moved slowly away from him. Figuring they didn't want him to see them, he got back in the car and returned to Yuma. Again, in 1994, with his wife and three daughters, they encountered a smaller craft with a strobe light, about forty miles south of Yuma.

"It hovered off the road in front of us, and we stopped and looked at it for five to ten minutes. It moved around for awhile and finally went off to the north," Cullen related.

"The girls seemed mystified by it, but they were younger and I don't really think they realized the enormity of what they were seeing."

Tim didn't think much about UFOs or abduction before his experiences, and had never heard about Alien implants. But after seeing the X-ray, and knowing where the object in the film came from, he started exploring the Internet about the subject of UFOs and abduction. He joined an on-line encounter group, and learned about a man in California, Dr. Roger K. Leir, who removed what were reported to be "Alien Implants". He and Leir communicated for over a year.

The ninth alleged alien implant was surgically removed from the left forearm of Tim Cullen on Saturday, February 5, 2000. The operation was performed at a medical facility in Thousand Oaks, California. The procedure was performed by a surgical team led by Dr Roger Leir; the surgery by Dr. John D, Matrisciano.

"I know nothing about UFOs or implants," Dr. Matrisciano said after the operation, "but I think that's what is needed in this case; to be objective."

Removal of the small, "melon seed" type implant went very quickly, and smoothly. The operation was videotaped by The Learning Channel for an upcoming show. Recently, at a MUFON Board meeting, I saw videotape of the object that was removed, which was shot through a microscope.

The object was about 7 centimeters long and 4 centimeters wide. It is covered by an amazing reddish-brown membrane and has several long, proceptors (which were connected to nerve endings) on one end. A dark area reveals a metal core. When a magnet was placed a half-inch from the object, it literally leapt to the magnet! As yet, the object has not been sent to anyone for analysis. An appropriate laboratory is being sought, as are funds for performing various tests of the object.

Tim Cullen has become very outspoken about his experiences and about the object that was recently removed from his arm. Unlike others who have had implants removed, Tim has allowed his name to be used in the press, has given out his phone number, and has recently established an Email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. On returning to Yuma, Colorado after the implant removal, Cullen told his story to Yuma's local paper, The Yuma Pioneer, and addressed both the congregations of his Catholic Church, and his wife's Presbyterian Church. He has also been on the Art Bell Dreamland show with Dr. Roger Leir and host Whitley Streiber. While at one of the church presentations a woman reached out and touched Tim's sleeve.

"My husband and I know exactly what you've been through," she told him.

Tim plans to talk with them. Another man E-mailed Tim and told him of an experience he had had. Many have come forward with stories since his return from the implant removal.

"A lot of people around here have seen strange lights in the skies," Cullen reports. "

Yuma is an agricultural area. They raise a lot of corn, pigs, and cattle here. Many of the ranchers have reported cattle mutilations, several within the last few months. One lost a prize bull. Understandably, the ranchers are angered and frustrated about these events. They don't understand why they happen.

Tim doesn't like not being able to remember what happened to him when the object was planted in his wrist. He is considering going through hypnotic regression in California to see if his subconscious can reveal any answers, as it has in others. He now admits he thinks he has been abducted. Why is he being so open?

Analyses from seven of the eight other implants removed have shown that the membrane surrounding the metal objects seems to keep them protected from foreign object rejection.

"This could be a huge medical breakthrough for doctors who want to use biological, metal, or implants of other materials, in their patients. Several prestigious labs have chemically broken down the make-up of the membrane. With the proper research, funded by large pharmaceutical companies, human body rejection of such implants could save many lives in the future," Cullen said.

"I'm coming forward because someone has to put a face to the alien stories, and cause more people to come forward," Tim Cullen told the Pioneer. "The more people we can find with implants, the more evidence we're going to have. We can study things a lot more and get things done; get rid of the stigma around it."

Tim Cullen says proudly. "The truth needs to come out!"

In light of the current, purported 'rift' between Disney and NASA over the content of Disney's new film, "Mission To Mars", I thought it pertinent to revisit those quotes.

My thanks to my colleague Michael Lindemann of CNI News for his file containing the many arresting and downright shocking statements in that Disney special...which appears now, as it did then, to have been a definite probe to measure public reaction to news of the reality of visitation and interaction with various forms of non-human intelligent life.

For nearly years, officials have been documenting routine alien encounters here on earth, and thousands of people have seen or experienced this alien presence. We now know that our future, indeed the future of earth itself, rests in the balance of the solid and the ethereal, of common sense and the irrational, in our relationship with alien life as grotesque as a fungus, or as glorious as the heavens."

It is in the nature of human psychology that an event as dramatic as
contact with extraterrestrial intelligence can not be thought about
_neutrally_, without deep-seated hopes and preconceptions. Most of us,
I'm certain, prefer to believe that extraterrestrials would arrive on
our planet as friendly, helpful beings, eager to share their technology
and to aid us in solving our social and ecological problems. Upon this
basic and very human wish certain people have erected a powerful set of
interpretations of modern-day UFO reports. These hopes, hardened into a
kind of theology, can be described as a modern religion, willed into
existence after the decline of our more traditional deities. After all,
we have been told more than once that God is dead.

On the other hand, our recent wars, both hot and cold, and the venality
and deceit we have seen in many of our political leaders have also
inspired an undercurrent of pessimism, global in extent. International
chaos, terrorism and governmental incompetence have trained many of us
always to expect the worst. And so, if the majority opinion, or hope,
is that extraterrestrials would arrive as space brothers, a strong
minority opinion fears the opposite - that we would find ourselves
taken over by a band of inter-galactic conquerors. Our popular science
fiction films spell out these hopes and fears quite literally: We have
the kindly Space Brother, Michael Rennie, stepping out of a gleaming
spaceship to help earthlings through their troubles, and then we have
the Body Snatchers out to do us all in. I've dwelt on these basic
attitudes about extraterrestrial contact for an important reason: when
we examine reports of actual contact, especially as revealed in UFO
abduction encounters, we must always bear in mind our basic
preconceptions and how they might influence our reading of these
events.

After twelve years of experience investigating the abduction
phenomenon, I will not deal with the validity of such reports in this
paper. I've considered this issue elsewhere, in two books and a number
of articles, so we will here assume that the abductees I've worked
with, more than a hundred and fifty in all, are telling the truth as
they best recall it. I will concentrate instead on what information we
can derive from their accounts that might bear on the question of the
moral nature of the UFO phenomenon. Are the UFO occupants, as they are
described by their abductees, good or bad, friends or foes, or is the
situation just not reducible to such terms? The very first step,
obviously, is to analyze what the abductees say they feel about their
captors, and that, every investigator knows, is a complex task. My
twelve years' experience leads me to a distinct conclusion: each
abductee's emotions are invariably intense and manylevelled - and
usually mutually contradictory.

First of all, confrontations with UFO occupants are generally
experienced as frightening, so fear, at some point, is an almost
universal element in the emotional mix. Second, there is a kind of awe
or wonder at the power and seeming magic of the aliens' technology.
This often translates itself into a kind of affection, even love, that
an abductee might feel for the particular captor with whom he or she
senses a special relationship. On the other side of the same coin there
is an almost universal anger - verging sometimes on hatred - that
abductees feel towards their abductors because of their enforced
helplessness, their sense of having been used, involuntarily, and even,
upon occasion, of being made to suffer severe pain. According to every
broad study of the abduction literature that I know of, and Edward
Bullard's is the most authoritative [ParaNet members - see FUFOR.ORD],
fear, awe, affection and anger are the basic emotional components of
almost every UFO abduction experience. It is safe to say, then, that
_powerful and confusing_ emotions follow such experiences, and that
after their encounters abductees do not believe they have been taken
either by purely malevolent foes nor by selfless, angelic space
brothers. The situation is far too complicated for either simplistic
reading.

During the past eight years I have conducted an informal support group
for UFO abductees in the New York City area, and have kept in touch
with many others in various parts of the country. These circumstances
have allowed me to observe a number of men and women over an extended
period of time, and to see various patterns of response to their
abduction experiences. The weight of each component in the standard
emotional mix varies widely from individual to individual, and also
changes with time within any one psyche. But the basic components
always seem to remain, subtly at odds with one another, in each
abductee. Several things must be kept in mind, however, as we study the
abductee's emotional charts. First, when one is abducted, he or she is
in something of an altered state, not unlike a hypnotic trance. The
abductee is _controlled_ by the abductors and his or her behavior is in
many ways far from normal. The abductee may be told things, shown
things, that may not be true or "real." So in this context we must
consider the abductee's occasional affection for his or her captors.
Psychologists have shown that this phenomenon, the "Patty Hearst"
syndrome, all too often appears in earthly kidnapping experiences.
Therefore in evaluating the four emotions commonly described by UFO
abductees, three seem appropriate but one must be dealt with warily.
Fear is something one would surely expect if the aliens actually look
and act as reported by their captives. Feelings of awe at the alien's
technological magic, an emotion that again seems appropriate. Anger,
often to an extreme degree, seems to be most abductee's reaction to
being paralyzed and controlled by their captors. The physically
invasive and sometimes painful operations performed upon them underline
this response, which is often deepened because the UFO occupants
usually refuse to discuss the purpose of these disturbing procedures.
One has no choice except to submit to needles, lights, knives,
"scanners" and so forth, with no power to protest or refuse. "I feel
like a lab rat," one abductee said, her anger entirely appropriate to
her situation. It is the odd affection abductees often report feeling
for their captors that seems suspect, under the circumstances. Is this
feeling possibly an artificial emotion, induced telepathically through
some kind of quasi-hypnotic control? Is it a version of the "Patty
Hearst" syndrome? Is it a genuine reaction? Obviously no one can answer
these questions satisfactorily, but it seems to me that affection is
the one common abduction response that must be viewed with suspicion.

When one tries to tally up the pros and cons of an abduction experience
as it immediately and visibly affects human emotion, it can be said
that two reactions are essentially negative, or even damaging. Fear and
anger, which are often felt deeply as terror and hatred, are surely
disruptive of anyone's life. The sense of awe, while basically neutral
and sometimes tinged with fear, may enhance one's world view, and thus
contribute positively. The fourth and most suspect emotion, affection
for one's captors, if genuine, is a positive one. So the emotional
"score" after an abduction experience does not support either a simple
"Space Brother" or "Body Snatcher" interpretation. Judging purely by
obvious surface reactions we are still in ethically mixed territory,
though to me and to many abductees the negative effects seem more
powerful than the positive.

Moving away from the patterns of the abductees' immediate emotional
responses, we can evaluate the ethical content of an extraterrestrial
presence by considering another, larger plane. Is there any evidence
that extra-terrestrial intelligence has actively intervened in human
affairs, either helpfully or destructively? The modern era of UFO
activity begins in earnest in 1947, but many UFO reports surfaced
during World War II in the phenomenon labelled "foo fighters" by our
airmen. No force, either extra-terrestrial or otherwise, put a stop to
the Holocaust until the Allied armies conquered Nazi Germany. By then
it was too late for millions of innocent people, murdered by a system
no one seemed able to stop. The United States developed nuclear weapons
and used them to incinerate tens of thousands of children, women and
men. No one, terrestrial or otherwise, prevented those bombs from
falling. Continuing Stalinist butchery, international terrorism,
American intervention in a Vietnamese civil war - all meant that
thousands upon thousands of innocent people lost their lives because of
the cruelty or indifference of political leaders of every persuasion.
No one intervened. Michael Rennie, alas, never stepped out of his space
ship to save us from ourselves. We have polluted our planet, spreading
cancer by industry's greedy indifference to the consequences of
chemical "bonanzas." No one came to our rescue; the Chariots of the
Gods evidently drew up just to watch the damage deepen. And now we have
a new plague - the disease known by its ironic acronym AIDS...something
fresh and new that we apparently did not have before the advent of the
modern UFO era.

Now all of this means one thing. As a moral presence the UFO phenomenon
seems sublimely indifferent to what we do to ourselves. Intervention is
evidently not part of the plan, as diving into the surf to rescue a
drowning child is sometimes not part of an indolent sunbather's plans.
On the other hand there seems to be no evidence that an
extraterrestrial presence has inflicted any excess pain upon us,
either. If Michael Rennie's alien only saves us in Hollywood films, the
evil, intervening Body Snatchers seem only to exist there, too. I
believe that the cruelty that mankind has endured in this century has
an all too human origin; one doesn't have to look to spaceships for its
cause. And we look to them in vain even for first aid, let alone
salvation.

But how should we evaluate what seems inescapable evidence of extra-
terrestrial indifference to human tragedy? I feel that the grades
should be harsh. The power and technology revealed by UFO report upon
UFO report indicates that intervention of some kind should have been
possible; help should have been given. Apologists for a Space Brothers
theory use the same argument as Christian Apologists: The UFO
occupants, like God, tolrate evils such as the Holocaust because life
is only a fleeting reality -the afterlife, or a reincarnated life,
renders this question moot. As a Humanist I disagree. The death of a
child at the hands of a gun-bearing adult is an abomination, not a
necessary learning experience. The only excuse I can offer for
extraterrestrial indifference is some kind of flaw in their apparent
power, some very real vulnerability that might provide them with an
excuse to avoid moral responsibility the way our indolent sunbather
could avoid trying to save the drowning child because he, himself,
might be unable to swim.

A few valid UFO cases contain accounts of healing, descriptions of
wounds healed, eyesight strengthened and so on, after UFO abductions or
encounters. However, these rare examples of healing raise more ethical
problems than they solve. If the occupants of UFOs _do_ have the power
to heal, why is it used so sparingly, so arbitrarily? Why save one
swimmer and let the others drown? A woman I've worked with and know
well was abducted along with her older sister; each had had childhood
abductions, each had lived uneasily with her memories. Last spring the
older sister was murdered in a park, by an apparently deranged
individual. The tragedy had nothing to do with UFOs, but my friend said
this to me: "I always thought, somehow, they were looking out for us,
watching over the people they'd taken in these experiments. Now I know
I'm no safer than anyone else. They don't seem to care." And yet in one
case I know about an abductee was apparently saved in a similar
situation. The arbitrariness of it all undermines any attempt to accept
a Space Brother reading of the entire phenomenon. Amorality is the term
that comes most quickly to mind.

If the immediate emotional reactions to UFO abductions are usually more
negative than positive, and there is literally no sign of benign extra-
terrestrial intervention in world affairs, there is still one more area
to examine, and it is extremely important. It is the long term
psychological aftereffects of UFO abductions experiences. Dr. Aphrodite
Clamar, a clinical psychologist with whom I have worked in many such
investigations, has stated that she feels almost every abductee she has
dealt with has been psychologically scarred by the experience. This is
surely my opinion also, and I believe that the psychological tests of
abductees administered by Dr. Elizabeth Slater, as well as the
psychological histories taken through Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in
New York City all provide support for this thesis. Though she points
out that cause and effect obviously cannot be established with
certainty, Dr. Slater describes the psychological profiles of the nine
abductees she tested as resembling those found with rape victims - a
low self-esteem, a distrust of their bodies, their physicality, their
sexuality, and a hesitancy to trust others. Not a pretty legacy from
our would-be Space Brothers.

My case files include three instances in which individuals - all males
and apparently somewhat depressed to begin with - committed suicide
after what were described by their friends and family as UFO abduction
experiences. And there is more on this debit side of the ledger,
including what seems to have been an accident following a car-stopping
incident and abduction; the driver, the only surviving parent of four
children, died later of complications suffered in this encounter. Two
female abductees I've worked with either planned or carried out suicide
attempts when they were ten years old, and another recent attempt
involves a frightened, despondent fourteen-year-old girl.

No one who has had this experience regards it as an unmitigated
blessing. Some live in perpetual terror. Some have suffered nervous
breakdowns, and as a result of their experiences and the chemical and
shock treatments administered by baffled and incompetent doctors, are
living thoroughly damaged lives. I have seen disfiguring scars on the
bodies of abductees who have involuntarily been used in the UFO
occupant's "medical" procedures. Yet I have also seen abductees whose
lives have been undeniably broadened by their bizarre experiences;
survivors who have managed the human task of surmounting their traumas
and gaining something from them. The reports, again, are mixed, but the
pain and suffering are immense. Deaths, injuries, terrors and mental
breakdowns must be weighed against a philosophical broadening in many
individuals, an awareness that the universe is larger - and closer -
than anyone had imagined. The cost, of course, has been tremendous, and
the gain due more to human resilience than alien kindness.

But there is, I believe, an explanation for the apparently callous and
often destructive behavior of the aliens who perpetrate these temporary
kidnappings of innocent men, women and children. One vivid example
should make the point. Two years ago a man in Minnesota whom I shall
call Earl wrote to me about his partially remembered UFO experiences.
Eventually I visited him on his farm, and we began a series of hypnotic
regressions. He recalled a time years before when his wife had been
helping him harvest a crop of hay in a rather isolated field. She lay
down to rest on the wagon while Earl worked a few hundred yards
away...but then he saw three small UFOs fly in at tree-top level and
hover above his sleeping wife. One of them lowered to the ground as
Earl put his tractor in gear and raced to her side to protect her from
whatever was happening. A normal looking blond man, speaking English,
stepped from behind the clump of trees where the UFO had landed and
asked Earl to stop; "Everything is all right," he said. "She won't be
hurt." Earl ignored him and leaped off the tractor, continuing on foot
towards the wagon where his wife lay, surrounded now by small, gray-
skinned figures. Earl suddenly found himself paralyzed and helpless. He
stood there, unable to move, as the blond man continued speaking,
assuring him that "everything is all right. Nothing will happen to your
mate." Earl watched in horror as his paralyzed wife was undressed. A
Long needle was pushed into her abdomen as she lay on a bed of hay,
crying out at the pain, but unable to resist. Skin and hair samples
were taken, and a thin probe was inserted into her vagina. Still frozen
in place, Earl cursed and raged, and the blond man seemed genuinely
surprised by his reaction. "We _want_ you to see this," he said. "We're
not hurting your mate. She'll be fine. Why are you upset? We're not
hurting her..."

The scene ended shortly thereafter, and the couple returned home, aware
of a period of missing time, but with no memories of the UFO encounter.
In the days and weeks after this event, Earl's wife began suffering
from nightmares, clawing in her sleep at the area near the bridge of
her nose, between her eyes, and screaming for them to "take it out,
it's hurting." She dug deep gouges in her forehead while the nightmares
continued unabated. Other symptoms of her terror appeared, half-
understood recollections of the events in the hay field. Eventually she
had to be hospitalized, suffering from a severe nervous breakdown. She
lives at home now, tranquilized and sadly no longer herself.

This story is but one of many which I could present to illustrate a
central point about UFO occupants and their relation to their human
subjects: they simply appear unable for the most part to understand us,
our feelings, our terrors, our love for one another. They seem
psychologically blind to basic human emotions. In my book _Intruders_ I
recounted case after case in which women were artificially inseminated
or endured ovaretrieval operations, but whose reactions of rage or
terror seemed surprising to their captors. These impassive UFO
occupants seem as remote from our "peculiar" human emotions as they are
from our obviously differing anatomy; perhaps more so. And their basic
lack of understanding provides us with a kind of excuse for their
callous behavior.

It seems to me that we are left with but two possibilities, neither of
which is very attractive. If the UFO occupants actually do understand
us and can empathize with our needs and emotions, then they are morally
deficient -- even cruel in their single-minded selfishness. Not
malevolent or deliberately evil, but as callous as the sunbather who
watches the child drown in the surf. At some point, amoral behavior
becomes immoral behavior. But if these same alien beings _simply do not
understand our feelings_, then they have an excuse of sorts for their
behavior. And the evidence suggest they really may not know what
disasters they sometimes cause. A female abductee recently wrote me a
letter which goes in part:


I was watching a show about animals, because I love
animals. I don't know if it was _Wild Kingdom_ or some
_National Geographic_ show, but these scientists were
tracking some polar bears. They had all kinds of weird
looking equipment and were using a white board which
rendered them invisible in the snow to the bears. As I
watched I got a real sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.
These scientists were dressed in identical white suits,
lured the bears closer, and drugged the big one with the
cubs. The whole time they were tagging her they were taking
blood samples, measuring fat, checking eyes, mouth, etc.
And whenever the bear struggled they would pet her, talk to
her, tell her everything was going to be fine. The cubs
stayed close. The scientists placed a device on her that
would track her for so many years. They even marked her
with a special paint that could be spotted from the air.
Then when they were through with her they ran and hid
behind the big screen so that when she woke up she wouldn't
see them. She got up, looked around, and ran so fast her
cubs could hardly keep up. Imagine how she must have felt
the other times when they followed her in a helicopter. She
could run, but with that paint and homing device she could
never hide! I think all we are is a bunch of animals to
these beings. Some little experiment that has been ongoing
for who knows how long. I don't like the idea of being
something's lab animal.


I thought about her letter, her understanding of the animal's plight
and the traumas inflicted by the scientists upon the bear and its cubs.
These zoologists - as well as the occupants of UFO's, one hopes - are
all acting from decent, scientific motives. And yet in both cases pain
is inflicted, paralysis is imposed, and traumatic terror is the result.
Some animals might abandon their cubs after such an experience or die
of a mismeasured dose of a tranquilizing drug or even die from pure
shock, just as some humans, like Earl's poor wife, may never recover
from the horror of their experience. Sad though this alternative seems,
it is easier for me to believe that the occupants of UFOs simply do not
understand what they are doing to us, what traumas they are inflicting,
than to believe they do know and are merely indifferent to human
suffering.

I have talked to many people who will not give up on the benign Space
Brother reading of these cases, no matter what. At the outset I said
that our quasi-religious hopes die slowly. And so, despite massive
negative evidence, there are still many people who cling to the idea
that somehow, some way there may be _two_ alien groups, one bad and one
good. The bad group, according to this theory, does the abducting and
experimenting while the good group really loves and understands us.
Sometimes a kind of sub rosa Aryan racism can be detected beneath these
hopes, in that the "grays," as they have been called, are the bad
aliens, while the more attractive "blonds" are good. In my twelve years
of investigation, however, the more human-seeming aliens, whenever they
are reported (as in the cases of Earl and his wife or the Travis Walton
abduction), seem to be operating as a team right along with the so-
called "grays," participating in abductions as usual. There is not a
shred of evidence that I know of supporting this simple-minded good-
guys, bad-guys dichotomy - but there is plenty of evidence that this
kind of wishful thinking is an all too common psychological habit.

The Contactee phenomenon, discounted by almost all serious
investigators, represents the triumph of hope against reality, of need
against evidence. The abduction cases I've studied over the years can
be defined as being, in effect, "all evidence and no ideology," while
the contactee cults are essentially the opposite. Contactee messages,
as passed on through helpful "channels," reduce themselves generally to
soft entreaties to love one another, to make peace, not war, and to
take care of our planet's precarious ecology - in other words, the kind
of cliche' even people like Reagan and Gorbachev routinely utter in
their formal speeches. (This kind of nebulous message, it should be
said, is sometimes also reported in valid UFO abduction cases. What we
really need, one abductee said to me, is actual alien help in solving
our problems, not just another newspaper editorial pointing them out.)
In short, there is no reason to assume that any benign group of aliens
anywhere has yet done anything truly helpful to our planet. Such
evidence simply does not exist.

The final difficulty in the cultist view of a "good alien - bad alien
duality" lies in the age-old problem of evil. If the bad aliens are
hurting us by their abductions, why don't the good aliens prevent it?
For centuries we've asked ourselves, if God is omnipotent, how can he
permit, say, the torture of children? Many of us felt that since no
answer consistent with the idea of God's omnipotence could satisfy us,
there was something seriously wrong with the theology. And so it is
with this kind of alien theology, apart from the fact that there is no
credible evidence of any kind indicating a struggle between rival alien
groups. If there are various groups of aliens from different places of
origin in the Universe, they are apparently all co-operatively doing
the same thing to us, the human race - and I for one think that what
they're doing is, in the short term at least, immensely destructive.

Once again we are back to the only two viable alternatives. Either the
UFO occupants have not grasped the psychological toll they are taking
in these abductions and genetic experiments because they really do not
understand human psychology, _or_ they must be viewed as a callous,
indifferent, amoral race bent solely upon gratifying its own scientific
needs at whatever the cost to us, the victims. The question of which
alternative is true cannot be presently answered. There is evidence to
support both interpretations, but I, for one, wish to choose the
former.

People who wonder about or even actively research the topics of UFOs and visitors from elsewhere sometimes begin with certain assumptions that may only be partially correct.

We might assume that if we are being visited, these intelligent beings are all biological life forms, though they might be quite different from humans.

We could also conclude that they are from another planet and they travel here aboard advanced spacecraft, possibly warping or surfing space-time in some way.

However, there are also theories and indications that, although those basic concepts might generally be accurate in some cases, there could be other developments going on as well.

For example, it might be possible that there are several kinds of intelligent visitors on Earth. Some researchers also suggest that certain unconventional beings might not be visitors at all, but somehow native to our planet, though they reside in hidden dimensions or operate in mysterious ways.

And even those who do travel here from a home world of some kind might also be able to visit us by slipping in and out of these mysterious dimensions without the need for sophisticated spacecraft.

In addition, although many might be biological entities or have a biological component, some anomalous beings might be some kind of energy operating outside of what we think of as normal biological life.

MYSTERIES WITHIN MYSTERIES

The other important questions regarding either extraterrestrial visitors from another planet or other mysterious beings of various kinds involve their possible motives and objectives. Are they friendly, hostile or somewhere in between? If there is some hidden agenda, what is it?

Are they straightforward and honest or deceptive? And if there deception – why? Is it simply "operational security (OPSEC)" of the kind we use ourselves in certain activities to help ensure success? If so, this could work to our benefit if their mission is to help us.

Some people believe in angels and the activities of good entities who watch over us and help humankind in many ways. These types of beings, if they truly exist, are said to operate in discreet, unseen and secret ways, much like some sort of intelligence agents.

Could other kinds of intelligent beings, including extraterrestrial and/or extra-dimensional ones, also work in similar secretive and covert ways?

A related consideration is that other intelligent beings, possibly of many kinds, could be trying to educate us and affect our thinking. They might be waiting for, or even actively assisting humanity in the development of a more advanced consciousness within us.

People try to persuade and influence each other all the time through many kinds of "perception management." These can be applied constructively to help a target population or damaging if used toward harmful outcomes.

Some researchers indicate that the field of study involving UFOs, extraterrestrials and other mysterious kinds of phenomena are full of deception and perception management cover stories, both by the unusual phenomena themselves and by some of the humans involved in trying to deal with them.

PREPAREDNESS AND DISCLOSURE

When we discuss the idea of "disclosure" of government files about UFOs and visitors from the stars or other dimensions, we might also want to recognize the limitations of what this alleged government-held information might tell us.

There certainly seem to be strong indications that the U.S. and other governments and organizations have been looking into these kinds of anomalous phenomena for quite a while, at least since the mid-1940s. There has probably been useful information obtained as well as attempts to interpret what it all means.

Puzzle pieces involving possible different technologies and various types of beings could be part of these scenarios. And, it is also possible that we have not yet put all the puzzle pieces together. There still may be several unknowns in play.

A major consideration in greater understanding about these possibilities seems to be the mental, emotional and even spiritual preparedness of humans about these mysteries.

And, it may not be so simple as friendly visitors from another planet who want to help us and show us their advanced technologies, though those could be aspects of the situation.

This is why some people advocate a safe and discreet orientation and acclimation process to educate Americans and people worldwide about the nature of the possible elements involved.

It might not be simply that "we are not alone." The very nature of Nature and the dynamics of the Universe or multi-verse around us and within us might be different than what we learned in school.
