Great Spirit... Wakan

Tanka...Sanguiadisan....Grandfathers/Grandmothers...Ancestors

  We thank you for the teachings of our Elders that have since walked on to

  Great Mystery. We thank you for the Elders that teach us today  We thank you for the morning Sun, that reminds us of new things come to us from the East, the direction of Spring, of rebirth, new beginnings.

Grandfather Sun , thank you for your warmth, as you travel across the

    sky, reminding us also of the 7 directions, of the four seasons

Mother Earth - Thank you for the soft ground to walk on and grounding, the Standing Ones that provide us shade, .a place for the winged ones to rest and live. A reminder of where we came from and where we will return.

Grandmother Moon-Thank you for the light you share in the night, the

    changing tides..Thank you for reminding us of the cycles of life

Tunkasila, we call upon you to join us now.... to hear these prayers

    for healing.

We ask the Ancestors to join us, the spirits of the East, of the North, of the West, and of the South, to take these names written here to Wakan Tanka... Sanguiadisan...with each need...may they be met for their highest good, in a gentle and good way.

 May the heartbeat of the drum, the smoke of the pipe, the Sweat Lodge, and the names written in a prayer bowl carry these prayers up to the ancestors on the wings of our brother Eagle.

May peace be known for all, throughout Mother Earth
