Published on: January 4, 2007 |  | | As the Jan. 23, 2007, deadline for obtaining a U.S. passport for all international air travel looms closer, the island pair of Nassau, the capital of The Bahamas, and Paradise Island has unveiled a unique offer. For a limited time, travelers in need of both a passport and a tropical vacation can acquire the newly required travel document for free by booking a getaway to Nassau/Paradise Island. Vacationers who visit Nassau/Paradise Island between Jan. 17-March 31, staying a minimum of two nights at a participating hotel, can get their passports for free thanks to a program that will reimburse travelers for the application and execution fees for their new U.S. passports (limit four rebates per room). Offer is valid for new U.S. passports issued between Dec. 20, 2006, and March 24, 2007. With passport costs of $97 for adults and $82 for children, the reimbursement program translates into a potential savings of $358 for a family of four. Travelers simply need to download a rebate form from www.NassauParadiseIsland.com, which they can then complete and submit with a copy of their paid hotel bill, an airline boarding pass for all travelers and a photocopy of each eligible traveler's passport photo page.
