Reflections on the subtle path

There is a danger in holding on too tightly to the rational senses that we close ourselves off to more subtle life experiences, experiences that cannot be measured or explained by reference to the material sciences. But equally there is a danger in letting go, of assigning mystical, magical properties to things that have more mundane explanations, we risk simply making fools of ourselves. So, which is it to be? Holding on or letting go? There is a middle way of course, but it’s difficult to discern unaided. Training in the esoteric disciplines can help, as can self-styled teachers and writers of books, but it’s difficult to know who to trust, who among the gurus is truly wise, or simply on an ego-trip. Fortunately for the layman there are also spontaneous experiences of the mind – mystical experiences – which reveal the subtle, psychological, spiritual dimensions of reality, experiences […] Read More

When the NSA Feared Psychics Could Make Cities Lost in Time and Space

A version of this story originally appeared on Muckrock.com. A classified government document opens with “an odd sequence of events relating to parapsychology has occurred within the last month” and concluded with an alarming question about psychics nuking cities so that they became lost in time and space. If this sounds like a plot out of science fiction, it is – but it’s also a NSA memo from 1977. The first “event” raised by the NSA note is a CIA report which mentioned KGB research into parapsychology. According to this, the KGB used hobbyists and non-governmental researchers to talk to western scientists. This allowed the KGB to collect useful information without putting themselves into a position to accidentally leak confidential information to westerners. According to the NSA note, this tactic yielded “high grade western scientific data.” The next event described by the NSA note was what appeared to be a Russian provocation, though […] Read More

Thoughtography

Probably because I’m a huge fan of Spiderman, I was interested in photography from an early age. At one point I had even considered a career in photography, until I realized how bad I am at composition and how much talent is required to be a photographer. In high school I took a photography class and really enjoyed it, but it was obvious that it was not for me. Coincidentally within the realm of the paranormal there is a different kind of photography which I was recently reminded of; (real talk it was because I spent the weekend marathoning The X-Files) Psychic Photography or ‘Thoughtography’. The origins of this particular psychic expression seems to be with a Japanese Psychologist named Tomokichi Fukurai. Fukurai was an assistant professor of psychology at Tokyo University around the turn of the 20th century, around 1910 or so. He was the first to recognize […] Read More

1988: THE REVELATION OF THE TEMPLE OF THE SUN

Revelation given in 1988  Introduction written in 1991 Property of: Miranda Rt 3 Box 282 A Gallatin, Mo. 64640 Introduction It was in approximately June, 1985, that I first heard of Vesta, Nebraska, a place so obscure and so unknown that it is not on most maps. Yet, it has risen to the forefront of interest as a location of major importance within the energy matrix known as the THE HEART OF THE DOVE in Midwest USA. There are, of course, many dimensions to this that is known as the Merkabah of the Dove and the Heart of the Dove, but we are in this writing to focus primarily upon its influence in a geographical sense. (reference to the map of the Dove on Pg 49 of “The Book of Knowledge: The Keys of Enoch” by Dr. J J Hurtak) We refer to the Heart or Diamond Body of […] Read More

How We Manifested Our Ranch…

by Frederic Wiedemann, Ph.D We started three years ago with a vision and no money. Now we have our dream a ranch, spiritual retreat and community in the heart of the Rockies! We have named it the Diamond Joy Retreat. And we used Abraham and other manifestation principles to handle every twist and turn of the drama. What an adventure it was (and continues to be). We share this with you in hopes that it will inspire you. The Course In Miracles says that “there is no problem in wanting, but only in wanting too little.” If we can do it, you can do it. We decided two years ago that we wanted to shift our consciousness to a “much bigger game” than we had ever known. That entailed a physical move from Southern California, giving up our successful professional careers in counseling, and LEAPING off the precipice. Late […] Read More

Eleven Laws to Set You Free

by Guy Finley If we want to grow inwardly we must find new ways to learn about ourselves. These higher discoveries call for higher learning. Think of each of the following eleven laws as individual magic strands of a flying carpet. Make it your aim to weave them together in your mind. Then watch how these lessons combine to effortlessly lift you to a higher and happier life level. The First Law: Nothing can stop you from starting over. The greatest power you possess for succeeding in life is your understanding that life gives you a fresh start any moment you choose to start fresh. Nothing that stood in your way even a heartbeat before stands there now in the same way. It’s all new, even if you can’t as yet see it that way. You’ve only to test the truth of this fact about the newness of life […] Read More

Why Metaphysics?

What is metaphysics, and why should we bother studying it? What benefits does it have for humanity? What is its purpose? How will its teachings help advance society? How will it assist our civilization and culture to progress? How will our lives be re-created individually and collectively with the application of metaphysical principles? Questions abound concerning metaphysics, for people intuitively feel that it may have something precious to offer in terms of facilitating personal growth and self-empowerment. Among those spiritually inclined, it has become a “prime directive” to understanding their lives in terms of metaphysical principles and concepts such as multi-dimensional realities, the Higher Self, love, karma, reincarnation, etheric energies, psychicism, oneness with all, cosmic beings, the ascension, etc., and some of the causes of this higher thinking and awareness is the thinning of the cosmic veil between dimensions; the increased contact with invisible forces; the influence of intense […] Read More

1998: Psychic discoveries since The Cold War

By Len Kasten  In June of 1968 Sheila Ostrander, a Canadian, and Lynn Schroeder, an American, were invited to attend an international conference on ESP in Moscow. The invitation was from one of the most fervent missionaries of Soviet psi research, Edward Naumov, then 36. A few years earlier, when overt interest in such subjects could easily result in a long holiday in Siberia, such a conference would have been impossible. Then suddenly, in the mid-sixties, the doors of prohibition in Russia, under the Troika rulership, clanged open. Ostrander and Schroeder, encouraged but still doubting the turn of events, started writing to Soviet scientists and researchers. For three years, the letters and packages describing Soviet psi research poured in, culminating in Naumov’s invitation to come and see for yourself. They did, also visiting Bulgaria, but even before the conference had ended the suppression returned. The conference was closed down […] Read More

A Field Guide to Skepticism

The Complete Chapter Excerpted From The Conscious Universe: The Scientific Truth of Psychic Phenomena by Dean I. RadinHarper Edge, ISBN 0-06-251502-0 I am attacked by two very opposite sects – the scientists and the know-nothings. Both laugh at me – calling me “the frogs’ dancing-master.” Yet I know that I have discovered one of the greatest forces in nature. – Luigi Galvani, Italian physicist (1737-1798) This chapter does not argue against skepticism. On the contrary, it demonstrates that critical thinking is a double-edged sword: It must be applied to any claim, including the claims of skeptics. We will see that many of the skeptical arguments commonly levelled at psi experiments have been motivated by non-scientific factors, such as arrogance, advocacy and ideology. The fact is that much of what scientists know – or think they know – about psi has been confused with arguments promoted by uncritical enthusiasts on […] Read More

Voynich Manuscript

The Voynich manuscript is a mysterious illustrated book with incomprehensible contents. It is thought to have been written approximately 400 years ago by an unknown author in an unidentified script and unintelligible language. Over its recorded existence, the Voynich manuscript has been the object of intense study by many professional and amateur cryptographers, including some top American and British codebreakers of World War II fame (all of whom failed to decipher a single word). This string of failures has turned the Voynich manuscript into a famous subject of historical cryptology, but it has also given weight to the theory that the book is simply an elaborate hoax – a meaningless sequence of arbitrary symbols. The book is named after the Polish-American book dealer Wilfrid M. Voynich, who acquired it in 1912. As of 2005, the Voynich manuscript is item MS 408 in the Beinecke Rare Book Library of Yale […] Read More
