Ancient Mysteries, Sinister Characters and Disturbing Threats

In 1996 an English freelance television producer named Michael Hartley found himself subjected to Men in Black-type threats after researching the alleged final resting place of none other than the legendary Robin Hood – supposedly near to the Yorkshire, England village of Clifton. It’s a very strange story that you can find at this link by searching the page for “Hartley.” The story was given to Gareth Medway, who has put together an excellent collection of MIB cases, both old and new. Gareth says of the Hartley story: “As helpers [Hartley] recruited two media students from Dewsbury College, and a young woman on the staff of Brighouse Library also offered her assistance. Quite suddenly, all three pulled out. When he questioned the students, both said that ‘someone’ had visited them late at night, and told them to have nothing to do with the Robin Hood film, or it would […] Read More

The Mystery of Sweden’s Bizarre Mass Disappearance

Mysterious disappearances come in many forms, and one very baffling type is that of mass disappearances, in which more than one person goes missing at the same time, often vanishing into thin air to leave searchers scrabbling for answers that may never come. One very strange such case of a mass vanishing happened in the country of Sweden, and which involves a series of strange events that have left investigators struggling to connect the dots ever since. There was nothing particularly remarkable about the day of July 29, 1965 when it began in the city of Gothenburg, Sweden other than all of the rain. People went out about their business as usual, including three friends by the names of Gay Karlsson, Jan Olof Dahlsjö, and Kjell Ake Johansson who worked at the local shipyards. Yet at some point during the day things took a turn for the strange when […] Read More

Missing Woman Found in the Jungle Says Divine Voice Taught Her Photosynthesis

On March 26, 2018 Katherine Brewster, a 27-year-old woman from England, walked into the dense forest of southern Brazil. She didn’t come out, at least not until far past the point of concern. An international search for the missing woman was formed and she was found five days later in a remote part of the Brazilian jungle where poisonous plants are abundant and jaguar attacks are a real danger. Initially, she was reported as having simply got lost after going for a walk, and found in tears after having spent the last five days fearing for her life. These initial reports are false according to MailOnline, who conducted the first interview with Brewster after she was found. According to Katherine Brewster she was guided into the forest by a divine voice, spoke with plants, and went to learn how to “connect with the morphogenetic field.” She says that this divine voice […] Read More

Very Strange Accounts of Bizarre Time Anomalies

The concept of time and how we perceive it has long been the subject of science fiction stories, thought experiments, and deep philosophical reflection, producing a mind-boggling array of ideas, theories, and opinions. Far from being the simple, linear line that many of us may think of it as, time is a deeply complex quantity for which there are many theories, and which we do not yet fully understand. Perhaps nowhere is the baffling potential nature of time more apparent than with the numerous bizarre tales of strange, unexplained phenomena regarding time, incidents often referred to as temporal anomalies which can include time freezing, time travel, time slips, time loops, and everything in between. Here we will look into various weird accounts of time anomalies that serve to baffle, surprise, and suggest that time is perhaps far more malleable and more bizarre than we can possibly imagine. One of […] Read More

Unexplained ‘Glitch’ While Driving Home

“My husband was in a rehabilitation center for physical therapy, following triple bypass heart surgery. The rehab was 2 towns away from my house. One night when I was leaving the rehab, I took the longer route home because it was more brightly lit. The shorter route was dark with no street lights, and I didn’t like travelling that route after dark. So, I was driving the longer, brightly lit route, when a car in front of me pulled to the side of the road and let me pass by. But strangely, as soon as I passed the car, it immediately pulled out and began following me – closely! – with high beams. Just then, I crossed the border into the next town. There are many stores, restaurants and a hotel in that area so the lights are even brighter there. But suddenly… everything on the road went black, […] Read More

The story of Carl Edon – The most compelling evidence of reincarnation

Amongst all things paranormal, stories of past life memories and reincarnation have often fascinated me. There have been a number of stories from people who believe they have lived before. They believe that they have memories of a previous life and some even remember how they died. Their memories usually start from a young age, they remember events happening in the past life or places and buildings which no longer exist but after some research its found that they did once exist many years before they were born. Whether these people have actually been reborn or maybe we are all reborn but only certain people can remember their previous lives. Maybe that’s why some people have always had fears of certain things like a fear of water or a certain colour that causes them fear and they have no idea why. They may have drowned or something of a […] Read More

When Lightning Strikes: Unusual Lightning-Related Deaths, Past and Present

“Lightning never strikes twice,” or at least the saying goes. However, in 2017 it seems that first strikes were down in numbers as well, to the credit of lightning strike awareness campaigns. According to the National Weather Service, there were just 16 people killed by lightning strikes in the United States in 2017, the lowest number since record-keeping on lightning-related deaths began in 1940. These numbers are down significantly from those early years of record keeping; in 1943 alone, 432 victims of lightning strikes were reported. USA Today reports that in 2001, the NWS began upping the ante on awareness of the dangers of lightning strikes, launching a public awareness campaign. Coinciding with the broadening public awareness of the issue, deaths related to lightning strikes were numbering significantly lower than in previous decades, averaging around 55 deaths per year. While deaths from lightning strikes are at an all-time low, […] Read More

Mini Ice Age May Be Just Five Years Away

It’s the end of 2017 — time to look ahead to a better 2018 and beyond … unless you’re a mathematician working on models to predict ice ages, climate change and other things many would prefer not to believe in – models or not. However, if you fear the literal definition of ‘global warming’, this might be for you. A Russian mathematician working in the UK says her model, which she claims has a 97% accuracy rate, predicts a mini ice age beginning in 2021 and lasting for 33 years, dropping temperatures enough to put Britain’s rivers in a permanent freeze. Hockey anyone? Valentina Zharkova, mathematics professor at Northumbria University, made these bold and cold predictions based on historical solar activity, particularly data from the last mini ice age – the so-called Little Ice Age from around 1250 to the early 20th century. No sunspots is not good for […] Read More

Mysterious Blue Snow Puzzles Russians in St. Petersburg

By Paul Seaburn It’s the hometown of Russia’s president Vladimir Putin, so anything unusual happening there gets high attention. So what kind of attention do you think a blue snowfall got? How about blue mixed with some deep purple snow? The strange-colored snow fell on Russia’s second-largest city on December 26th. The St. Petersburg Internet news source www.fontanka.ru reported that approximately 1 cm (0.39 inches) fell on that date, covering the ground, roofs, cars, windowsills and plants. “Eyewitnesses specify that it is not distributed evenly – by waves, as if the “paint” was blown off somewhere and blown by a wind rose. The thickness of the cover is about 1 cm. All the respondents of Fontanka stated that they see this phenomenon for the first time in their life.” “First time” in St. Petersburg, perhaps, but if any of them were in Chelyabinsk in February 2015 they would have seen […] Read More

Strange Mysteries of the Lone Star State

Texas is the second largest U.S. state in both area and population, spanning no less than 268,820 square miles, and with a growing population of around 28 million. Houston is its largest city and the fourth-largest in the United States; while the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area is the biggest metropolitan area in the state, and the fourth-largest in the nation. Other major cities include San Antonio, and the capital: Austin. Texas contains diverse landscapes, resembling in places both the Deep South and the desert southwest. Traveling from east to west, one can observe piney woods and semi-forests of oak and cross timbers, rolling plains and prairie, and finally the desert of the Big Bend. But that is not all: deep in the heart of Texas lurks a wide array of mysteries, including tales of crashed UFOs; marauding monsters on the loose; ghosts, spooks and specters; and much more, as […] Read More

Bizarre Cases of Mysterious Strangers from Nowhere

History is rife with mysterious people who have seemingly vanished into thin air, often with strange circumstances and clues surrounding them. Yet just as mysterious are those cases that go the opposite way, with people seeming to appear out of nowhere to baffle and puzzle all who would try and figure them out. These mysterious strangers come out of the blue into our reality to evade us and elude understanding, and they are every bit as weird as anyone who has stepped off the face of the earth. Where did these people come from and who are they? The answers continue to hide in the shadows. The earliest of the cases we will look at here, and also one of the weirdest and most mysterious of them, concerns an 8-year-old boy who in September of 1863 was walking along a beach near the village of Digby Neck, in Nova […] Read More

A Holiday for Murder: The unsolved Walker family murders

One of Florida’s most brutal, unsolved murders occurred six days before Christmas in 1959. The entire Walker family, husband Cliff (25-years-old), wife Christine (24-years-old), son Jimmie (three-years-old), and daughter Debbie (two-years-old) were killed in their small home in Osprey on December 19th. There were hundreds of suspects, including the notorious killers made famous by Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood, but the case has gone cold. Cliff, Christine, Jimmie, and Debbie Walker. Christine and Cliff Walker and their two children had been out running errands the day of the murders. Christine was the first to return to their home, located on the cattle ranch where her husband worked as a hand. She was at the house long enough to put away the groceries before she was interrupted by an unknown assailant or assailants.  Although she ferociously fought her attacker(s) with her high-healed shoes, even staining the pumps with their blood, her efforts […] Read More

Bizarre Footage Shows Car ‘Appear From Nowhere’ In Collision

The footage was recorded by a dash cam in Singapore, showing the moment a silver car appear seemingly from nowhere before colliding with a white car. The video has raked in well over 1 million views and has gone viral online. Thankfully, according to reports noone was seriously hurt in the crash. While it may look like a ‘ghost car’, logic would tell that the car was simply obscured by vision by the white car before the impact. Ghost car definitely sounds cool though.
