Higher Taxes Don’t Make Capitalism “Work Better”

Submitted by James E Miller of Mises Canada, “Would Capitalism Work Better With Higher Taxes?” That’s the title of a new Globe and Mail editorial written by Doug Saunders. The question is innocent enough. The article treads lightly on the topic without ideological moralizing. The dilemma of how to make capitalism “work better” is a common trope in mainstream rags. Saunders wants to come off as a moderate thinker who’s just trying to do what’s best for everyone. I suspect there’s something more sinister behind his motives.= Anyone who understands the basics of capitalism knows taxation acts as a hindrance. There is no question about this. Capitalism is the free trading of goods and services; taxation is the violent extortion of the gains of voluntary trade. Anything that gets in the way of the capitalist process necessarily hinders it. In no possible way will higher taxes make capitalism “work […] Read More

2014: A List Of 97 Taxes Americans Pay Every Year

If you are like most Americans, paying taxes is one of your pet peeves.  The deadline to file your federal taxes is coming up, and this year Americans will spend more than 7 billion hours preparing their taxes and will hand over more than four trillion dollars to federal, state and local governments.  Americans will fork over nearly 30 percent of what they earn to pay their income taxes, but that is only a small part of the story.  As you will see below, there are dozens of other taxes that Americans pay every year.  Of course not everyone pays all of these taxes, but without a doubt we are all being taxed into oblivion.  It is like death by a thousand paper cuts.  Our politicians have become extremely creative in finding ways to extract money from all of us, and most Americans don’t even realize what is being […] Read More

2013: VIDEO: Ed Asner Schools Us in Trickle Down Economics—Or How the Rich Gamed the Tax System

Only question is, how do we fix it? Actor Ed Asner has outraged the right with this must-see MoveOn.org video on how drastic inequality developed in this country, the disappearance of the middle class, and a tax system that is ruining democracy and the public sector, schools, retirements, essential services, public works and life for most people. We’re not going to let them get away with it, are we? It’s as entertaining as it is informative. FEDERAL INCOME TAX: PROOF OF CONSPIRACY

By: Alan Stang For many weeks, we have been looking at what we realistically might do to save our country from the totalitarian dictatorship that is rapidly suppressing it. We have seen that to have any hope of doing so we must recognize the cause: the conspiracy for world government. Presently, we are demonstrating why that recognition is so important, and we chose an issue for the purpose: the sodomite explosion. We chose that issue because it is so much in the news. We could just as well have chosen the federal income tax. A few days ago, the income tax was in the news again, or, rather, it should have been. It should have been banner headlines across the country – but it wasn’t. Because you are reading these profundities at Etherzone.com, you probably already know what I am talking about, but my guess is that few other […] Read More

AFFIDAVIT OF REVOCATION AND RESCISSION

AFFIDAVIT OF REVOCATION AND RESCISSION   I, _____________________________, of ______________________________________ , being duly sworn and affixing my signature to this document, do hereby make the following statement of fact, and affirm: 1. That I was unaware that a completed, signed, and submitted “Form 1040” or “income tax return” and a “W-4” “Employee’s Withholding Allowance Certificate”, the authorization document that allows an employer to withhold a worker’s money from his pay, are voluntarily executed instruments which could be used as prima facie evidence against me in criminal trials and civil proceedings to show that I had voluntarily waived my constitutionally secured rights and that I had voluntarily subjected myself to the federal income/excise tax, to the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, and to the authority of the Internal Revenue Service (hereafter referred to as the IRS) by signing and thereby affirming under penalty of perjury that I was in effect […] Read More

The U.S. Personal Income Tax: It Goes to The Family Rothschild

By William Dean A. Garner The Rothschild-Owned Federal Reserve Bank: “I’ve got you, my pretties!” The more people like me speak out about this, the more will scratch their heads and go, “No way!” or “You’re an idiot, Garner!” or, worst of all, “You’re not an American!” I’ve heard this crap before, and it always comes from ignorant souls who just don’t understand how the political and economic systems work in the western world. After more than 30 years of anecdotal research, connecting thousands of dots across an endless sky, a distinct pattern begins to emerge, something I’ll share a bit with you here. First, there’re other brave souls out there who also have researched this contentious topic, and have drawn similar conclusions. And we’ve all done so independently, which makes our conclusions all the more striking. I’ve said this before and it bears repeating: the evil family Rothschild, […] Read More

2004: The IRS has an Income Tax Problem

January 19, 2004 The IRS has an Income Tax problem. Tens of millions of Americans no longer file the form 1040. Why is that? Well, besides the fact that government consumes 40 percent of the fruits of our labor and people sometimes have to make a choice between feeding their families or feeding Uncle Sam; people are tired of IRS abuses, lack of candor about the law and the need for true due process when American¹s interact with the IRS. The greatest abuse being the IRS’s and our elected officials refusal to tell the people what law makes them liable to pay the Individual Income tax. This silence on the part of our elected officials is responsible for the mood of distrust and ever growing suspicion of government at all levels. This is exactly what the IRS hoped to avoid when it came out with the kinder, gentler version of the IRS […] Read More

2003: The IRS Claims New Patriot Act Type Powers to Punish Political Dissenters

by Robert R. Raymond November 28, 2003 In a precendent-setting case, the IRS wielded new power to punish the political speech of those who “espouse views” the government considers “inconsistent” with government-held beliefs. In a hearing originally closed to the public in a secret tribunal on a military island, but moved to a public location after protests from the press and the public, the IRS wants to wield this power against a former IRS whistleblower, who was forced to resign upon his discovery of fraud in the agency. After monitoring and taping the whisteblower’s appearances on Sixty Minutes, talk radio shows, and political publications where he rebroadcast his findings of IRS fraud, the IRS initiated this inquisition against their former whistelblower. This new power may find new political targets soon enough. The IRS, through the small office of “Director of Practice,” claims the authority to wield carte blanche authority […] Read More
