Newtown Police Sergeant Who Arrested People For Marijuana Finally Sentenced For Selling Steroids

Steven Santucci, a former sergeant with the Newtown, CT police department, was caught at the head of an anabolic steroid distribution ring. Santucci was sentenced to 16 months in prison and 2 years of probation to follow his release. As reported by Rich Scinto with the Newtown Patch: Steven Santucci will also have to serve six months of home confinement, 120 hours of community service and a $5,000 fine during his supervised release. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute anabolic steroids and conspiracy to launder monetary instruments Santucci imported steroid ingredients from China and manufactured and sold wholesale quantities of steroids, according to the U.S. Attorney District of Connecticut office. Certain members of the alleged conspiracy ring were accused of also selling prescription pills and cocaine. Santucci wired more than $120,000 to foreign sellers and charged more than $300,000 on personal credit cards, including more than $100,000 for luxurious vacations. […] Read More
