2018: Unraveling the deception of the Mississippi Capitol’s ‘Egyptian Princess’

San Diego Giant on display at side show. In December of 1896, a group of anatomists and anthropologists from Washington, D.C. traveled to a sideshow in Atlanta to examine a mummy known as the San Diego Giant, purportedly the ancient desiccated corpse of one of the tallest men who ever lived. The previous year, newspapers across the country heralded the discovery of the mummified remains of a Native American man near San Diego.  What was so compelling about the find was that the body was about eight feet four inches (2.54 meters) tall-the tallest mummy ever found.  The anthropologist that examined him thought he was about nine feet (2.74 meters) tall when he was alive and estimated that he lived about 250 years ago.  Rather than being mummified intentionally with natron and resin-like in ancient Egypt, the giant had been mummified naturally by the arid environment of Southern California. Things Keep Getting Older: Archaeologists Find ‘Forest Cities’ That Are Least 45,000 Years Old

First, we were told that the first human civilizations were Mesopotamia and Egypt, ca. 3000BCE. Then we found out about Göbekli Tepe, stretching the timeline back to 10,000BCE. And now, a new paper in Nature suggests that humans have been coming together in large numbers for a lot longer – but not in the now-arid regions of the Middle East. Instead, say researchers, “archaeological evidence now demonstrates that humans settled tropical forest regions “on previously unimagined scales”, and have actively manipulated these ecologies for “at least 45,000 years” – and perhaps much longer In the last ten years, the archaeologically acknowledged human inhabitation of tropical forests has quadrupled in age. There is no clear evidence for the use of tropical forests by our species in Borneo and Melanesia by c.45 ka, in South Asia by c.36ka, and in South America by c.13ka. There are suggestions of earlier rainforest occupation […] Read More

2017: Frozen Ancient Civilization Discovered In Antarctica

(Dr. Michael Salla) In early January 2017, secret space program whistle blower Corey Goode says he was taken to Antarctica to witness the first scientific excavations of ruins from an ancient flash frozen civilization buried under two miles of ice. While the discovery of the ruins date back to the first Nazi German expedition in 1939 according to Goode, it is only since 2002 that excavations by archaeologists and other scientists have been allowed, The archaeologists have allegedly prepared documentary films and academic papers whose release will astound the scientific community. In a December 11, 2016 update, Goode describes how he had been earlier made aware of the Antarctica excavations from multiple sources, and then had the excavations also revealed to him by a senior officer within a USAF led secret space program he dubbed “Sigmund”, Sigmund led a covert mission involving multiple abductions and debriefings of Goode who was […] Read More

2017: 5-Meter Tall Human Skeleton Unearthed In Australia

What could be the largest human skeleton ever discovered has been unearthed by a team of archeologists from the University of Adelaide at the Uluru archeological site near Ayers rock in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. The gigantic hominid specimen that measures an incredible 5.3 meters tall was discovered near the ancient ruins of the only megalithic civilization ever discovered in Australia, which makes the discovery twice as puzzling admits professor Hans Zimmer of the University of Adelaide. The issue of giants on Earth no longer appears to be within the realm of speculation. Megalithic monuments found around Earth which are constructed of massive stones appear to support this concept. We know that myths and legends of every culture contain important elements of truth. Legendary giants are also an important part in mythology, but they are definitely not a myth. One of the most puzzling archaeological mysteries has been discoveries […] Read More

2016: Ancient Footprints of Giants Ignored by Mainstream Archaeology

Looking at our ancient archaeological history it begins to become clear that our view of human evolvement theory has a few flaws. by Digger You can’t hide or deny plain facts of which these are imprints in stone and bones archaeologists have excavated and they cannot be denied. Some of the footprints date back millions of years and prove that a giant species of man roamed the earth at the time of the dinosaurs. This totally goes against the modern historical view of evolution where man evolved from apes. THE FOOTPRINT OF GOD The footprint is located in South Africa, near the town of Mpuluzi, close to the Swaziland border. It is estimated to be between 200 million and 3 billion years old because of our current understanding of the formation of granites in Earth’s history. This dating immediately causes heated debate and argument. (I urge you to keep […] Read More

How to make honey infused corpse medicine

Corpse medicine was a type of remedy produced with the bones, organs, and blood from dead bodies. It is mentioned in ancient medical texts and histories from Greece, China, Mesopotamia, and India. One of the more peculiar accounts of corpse medicine comes from the 16th century Chinese materia medica, also known as the Bencao gangmu, written by Li-Shih-chen. In the Bencao gangmu, Li-Shih-chen describes an ancient Arabic recipe to make a medicine called “mellified man.” To make “mellified man,” an elderly man volunteered to mummify himself from the inside out with honey until he died, then his corpse was placed in a coffin filled with honey. After 100 years, his coffin was opened so his remains were harvested for medicine. “In Arabia there are men 70 to 80 years old who are willing to give their bodies to save others. The subject does not eat food, he only bathes […] Read More

1800s: The vampire slayings of 19th century New England

The Vampire by Sir Philip Burne-Jones, ca. 1897. Image credit: Wikipedia The vampire myth originates in ancient beliefs in demons or evil spirits who feed on the blood and flesh of the living. Cultures all over the world have a version of a blood-sucking creature that returns from the grave to torment and feed on people. The creatures in these ancient myths eventually gave way to bloated folkloric vampires that spread disease and the charismatic fictional vampires that consume the living and give eternal life. In New England, in the 19th century, so many people believed that their dead family members were climbing out of their graves to kill relatives that the issue was addressed by incredulous academics and reporters in journals and newspaper articles. According to Paul Barber, author of Vampires, Burial & Death, there are two types of vampires: folkloric and fictional. Fictional vampires are supernatural creatures […] Read More

2015: A pharaonic murder mystery that was solved with forensic analysis

Forensic analyses of two Egyptian mummies published in the British Medical Journal in 2012 may have answered questions scholars had about the outcome of an ancient conspiracy against Pharaoh Ramesses III and the identity of a contorted mummy believed to be his “murderous son.” A team comprised of Egyptologists, geneticists, biologists, and paleoanthropologists conducted a forensic examination on both mummies that included an anthropological examination, CT scans, and DNA tests (Hawass et al., 2012). Ramesses III (1217 BC – 1155 BC) was the second pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty. Considered to the “last great king” of the New Kingdom, he ruled during a difficult time of economic instability and national turmoil caused by drought and war (Al Jazeera 2012). But his rule was cut short by treacherous acts committed by members of his own family and palace staff. Ramesses III had chosen Ramesses Amonhirkhopshef (Ramesses IV), his son with […] Read More

2015: Pre-Columbian Contact with Sumerians in the Americas? It Would Appear So…

Like many things, classical archeology is fraught with danger. There is the ever-present danger of going into unstable countries to do archeological research, but more importantly, there is the danger of funding. Like it or not all archeological expeditions require funding, and that funding comes from governmental institutions as well as private donors which lead to an agenda being set. For the archeologist, there is extreme pressure to not drift outside the norm, less your funding be cut or you are even ostracized by your peers because you are seen as too radical. What this produces is a don’t rock the boat scenario where archeologists, when confronted with an oddity, will seek out the more conservative solution but behind closed doors, many of them have more radical theories about human history. This leads us to a fundamental problem – who and why are they writing our history? In most […] Read More
