Officer Firing at Fleeing Vehicle Misses Driver, Kills Female Passenger and Her Dog Instead

El Cajon, CA — In yet another tragic case of an officer fearing for his life from a fleeing car, a woman and a dog have been killed. Early Saturday morning, police spotted a stolen red Toyota and pulled over the vehicle. Inside the car were three men, a woman and a dog. As the officer approached the vehicle, it sped off before he could get to them and led police on a high-speed chase. Eventually, the car was cornered in a cul-de-sac and came to a halt. As the officer exited his vehicle, according to the El Cahon Police Department, the driver then sped toward the officer. ‘Fearing for his life,’ the officer fired four rounds into the vehicle. The driver was not hit, which means that if he actually intended to run over the officer, that he could have done so. However, the passenger in the vehicle, […] Read More

It’s Time We Start Calling ‘Civil Asset Forfeiture’ What it Really Is – ‘Armed Robbery by Police’

Three years ago a couple was stopped by an armed gang and robbed of over $100,000. The facts are not in dispute. The perpetrators are known. And yet the criminals have not been punished, and the property has not been recovered. Why? Because the perpetrators wear badges. Since late 2012, when Adam and Jennifer Perry were robbed by the Illinois State Police, they have been trying to retrieve their stolen property. It has been a challenge, however, because when “law enforcers” rob you, it’s not (according to them) a crime. The Perry’s were pulled over for speeding on I-80 in Henry County, Illinois, on their way to see a specialist about Adam’s ear infection. When a police dog “indicated” to the vehicle (something dogs can easily be trained to do on command, yet something that police claim is “probable cause” to do a search), police searched the car, without […] Read More

Cops Convicted of Conspiracy for Saying Man in Video with Hands Up ‘Went for My Gun’

Newark, N.J. — In 2012, Marcus Jeter was not breaking any laws, had no outstanding warrants, and had harmed no one when he was stopped by Bloomfield police officers Sean Courter and Orlando Trinidad. Courter, who made the initial stop, was quickly joined by Trinidad, who came raging in like a bat out of hell, slamming his car into Jeter’s car. During the stop, Jeter complied with every order the officers gave him, including keeping his hands up the entire time. Despite his compliance, however, Courter and Trinidad smashed in Jeter’s windows and dragged him from the car. Jeter was charged with resisting arrest, aggravated assault and other offenses based on video from one of the officers’ dashboard cameras. However, Jeter acquired a second police dashcam video through an open records request. Combined, the videos showed him with his hands in the air for virtually the entire encounter, according to […] Read More

Cop Charged with Felony After Video Shows Him Smashing in Suspect’s Face with a Shotgun

Owasso, OK — Owasso police officer, Mike Denton, was fired in 2011 after body cam and surveillance footage showed him stomping on a handcuffed man’s head and then repeatedly elbowing him in the face. The victim was Brian Spalding. Spalding’s arrest was caught on all of the officer’s lapel cams and paints a clear picture of excessive force, justifying the city’s response of firing Denton. However, the Fraternal Order of Police, who argued that Denton was simply “protecting himself” by stomping on a man’s head, nearly breaking both of his arms, and elbowing him. The FOP then filed a grievance which was heard by federal mediator Edward Valverde in March of 2012. On Sept 22, 2014, keeping his rank and position, and back pay, Denton was reinstated. “He’s put back into the exact same role that he left under, which means that he is a lieutenant over a patrol shift,” Police Chief Scott […] Read More

VIDEO: Cops Kill Suicidal Native American In Broad Daylight as He Held a Knife to His Own Throat

Denver, CO — In July, Paul Castaway was in the midst of severe mental anguish when his mother called police for help. He had a knife and was threatening to harm himself. According to Paul’s mother, Lillian Castaway, her son suffered from schizophrenia and struggled with alcoholism. “I called the police for help, not to kill my son,” she said. When police arrived, however, ‘help’ was the only thing they didn’t do. In front of multiple witnesses, including children, a DPD officer opened fire on Castaway. He died on the spot, yet police still rolled his dead and bloody body over it and placed handcuffs on him. “They shot him while the knife was still to his own throat,” said Lillian. One of the children spoke to the Denver Post and explained what happened. The child explained that Castaway was running when he came to a dead end and then […] Read More

FOIA Request Shows Thousands Have Been Held Inside Secret US Prison, Homan Square

After filing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Chicago Police Department (CPD), The Guardian has discovered over 3,600 people have been detained at a secure facility known as Homan Square. Notorious for allegedly denying access to defense attorneys and committing human rights abuses, the officers at this CIA-style black site have been accused of coercing confessions, committing torture, and shackling detainees for prolonged periods. Although the CPD has denied these accusations, the department has been marred with a history of abuse and corruption. On February 24, The Guardian exposed a police detention facility in Chicago where arrestees were kept out of official booking databases, denied legal representation, and endured hours of physical and psychological abuse. After the CPD ignored several FOIA requests regarding their facility at Homan Square, The Guardian filed a lawsuit against the department in April requesting further information, including the number of people […] Read More

Meet the “Expert” Who Teaches Cops to Shoot First and Then Gets Paid to Get them Off After

When cops kill people and aren’t indicted for their murderous actions, the public is often left wondering how in the world this could happen. Well, after meeting “Dr.” William J. Lewinski, the self-proclaimed “expert” in the field of police shootings, you will have a clearer picture of why killer cops get off scot free, most of the time. After receiving his mail order doctorate from the Union for Experimenting Colleges and Universities, Lewinski opened his company called the Force Science Institute Ltd. He then began travelling around the country giving training seminars to police departments. According to the NY, the “training” and “studies” presented by Lewinski are referred to as “pseudoscience” by the American Journal of Psychology. In his seminars, Lewinski essentially teaches police officers to immediately resort to deadly violence by telling officers they can be shot by a suspect within a quarter of a second should the suspect be armed. Underage Girl Brushes Off Cop’s Flirting Attempt, So She’s Swarmed by Cops, Groped and Arrested

New York City, NY — A teenager from the Bronx was recently paid $45,000 after she was wrongfully arrested and sexually harassed by a police officer. The officer was also assisted by a number of other NYPD cops who helped him take her into custody. The incident occurred on November 4th of 2013 when a young girl named Natalie Erlich, who was 17-years-old at the time, was walking home from school. During her walk, she was approached by Officer José Peinan and another cop who were not in uniform and did not identify themselves as police officers. According to court documents, Peinan made several attempts to flirt with the girl but was immediately brushed off, much to his disappointment. After the rejection, Peinan became aggressive with the girl and arrested her on bogus charges. The officer claimed that since the girl asked if he was a police officer, that she […] Read More

New Low: Sheriff’s Office Claims Infant at Fault for SWAT Team Blowing His Face Apart with Grenade

“Merely by being in that room, Bou-Bou had assumed the risk of coming under attack by a SWAT team. By impeding the trajectory of that grenade, rather than fleeing from his crib, Bou-Bou failed to “avoid the consequences” of that attack.” Habersham County Sheriff, Joey Terrell, has allegedly given the most asinine defense about why a SWAT team blew a babies face off. The defense was allegedly used in a federal lawsuit on behalf of an infant hit with a grenade by SWAT during a botched raid in May of last year. As previously covered, Bounkham “Baby Bou Bou” Phonesavanh, 19-months-old, was asleep in his crib. At 3:00 am militarized police barged into his family’s home because an informant had purchased $50 worth of meth from someone who once lived there. During the raid, a flash-bang grenade was thrown into the sleeping baby’s crib, exploding in his face. Beyond […] Read More
