2015: FBI Admits They Haven’t Stopped ANY Terrorism With Patriot Act Spying Power

The FBI just came out and admitted that they haven’t solved a single terrorism case using the spying powers granted by the Patriot Act. The Justice Department’s inspector general acknowledged this in a report that was released last Thursday. Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz explained that in the years spanning from 2004 to 2009, the FBI increased their spying under Section 215 of the Patriot Act by three times. This included forcing businesses to turn over records and documents, and spying on Americans with no clear ties to any official terrorist organizations or terrorism investigations. But in spite of all that added spying, they couldn’t point to one single case that was solved, or one single terrorist act that was thwarted through the use of these Patriot Act provisions. Anything that they solved or prevented was done using traditional techniques and tactics for solving crime, without relying on Patriot Act dirty tricks. “The agents we interviewed did not identify any […] Read More

2015: DEA Steals Cash From Innocent Black Man Who They Claim ‘Must Be A Drug Dealer’

They found no drugs on him whatsoever. They never saw him selling drugs or committing a crime of any sort. But the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) claims that they are “certain” that 22-year-old Joseph Rivers is a “drug dealer.” What makes them so sure? When the young African American man set out to make a music video in Hollywood, after scraping together the funds, the Michigan native had the $16,000 for the shoot on him. That’s it. Nothing else. Having the money for this video on him, as he traveled from Michigan to Los Angeles was sufficient “evidence” that he was a drug dealer, even though no drugs were found on him, and even though there was no link made between him and any criminal element. Just the mere existence of that much money in a young African American’s possession – on his way to try to make it […] Read More

2015: New Black Panther leader: Kill White Babies By Bombing Nurseries

In a video posted at Breitbart.com on Tuesday, a New Black Panther Leader identified by The Blaze as possibly being King Samir Shabazz said that blacks will have to kill white babies “seconds” after they’re born while suggesting bombing nurseries. The Blaze also noted that the host, presumably Shabazz, also said that “blacks are ‘too scared’ to drag whites out of their houses, skin them, hang them in trees, drag them behind trucks, and pour acid on them. He talks about that as he announces the desire for a new ‘military.’” In another piece of audio posted at Breitbart, New Black Panther Party Chief of Staff Michelle Williams said the black community in Tampa is “under siege,” and attacked white people as well as black conservatives. While ranting about why she hates white people, she “vowed that as long as whites keep characterizing blacks as ‘ni***rs,’ her ‘feet [will […] Read More

2015: Surveillance Self-Defense, EFF’s global guide to protecting your privacy online, is now available in four new languages

APRIL 29, 2015 | BY DANNY O’BRIEN Defend Yourself Against Surveillance: New Languages, New Animations When we re-launched Surveillance Self-Defense (SSD) last year to tackle the growing threat of online spying, we knew our greatest challenge was reaching everyone who urgently needed its advice. Technical knowledge about what to do, and what not to do, to protect your privacy online, is only truly useful if it can be understood by those who need that information the most. We’re delighted to note a few important steps in increasing the reach of SSD. Six months ago we launched the site in English, Spanish, and Arabic. Now our amazing network of translators has expanded SSD’s coverage to include French, Thai, Vietnamese, and Urdu. Adding around 230 million native speakers to our potential audience is great news. It’s even better when someone takes our suggestions and turns it into a form that makes […] Read More

2015: Police Originated From ‘Slave Catching Patrols’

It might sound like complete nonsense until you do a little bit of historical research. People often assume that community policing has always been around, that without police society itself would crumble. Few realize that the model of policing that we know today in the United States has its origins in slave patrols, and that it has not been around for very long at all. The sort of propaganda that many of us are raised to believe about the necessity of police on the block has led us to imagine that society was built by “law and order” policing, with regular community patrols, proactively seeking to prevent crime through “policing” the community. But nothing could be further from the truth. The very concept of community policing – the model of law enforcement responsible for what we today know as “police officers” – did not originate in ancient times, nor […] Read More

2015: Man Thrown In Jail For Not Mowing Lawn

Rick Yoes has just been locked up behind bars. His crime? Not mowing his lawn. Yoes turned himself in last night at the county jail, as a warrant issued for his arrest ordered. The warrant was issued after Yoes received a fine of $1,700 last September. Since there was no way that Yoes could pay the fine, he took his vacation days at the Southeast campus for Tarrant County College where he is an electrician. By taking all of the vacation days at once, this allowed a replacement to fill in for him while he spends the next 17 days in the county jail. So what crime did Yoes commit? The regulation for the city of Grand Prairie says that lawns may be as high as 12 inches. But Rick’s daughter Angel explains that this new regulation wasn’t familiar to her or her father, according to Fresno Peoples Media. Angel continues, “Yes, we should have been […] Read More

2015: Nurses Coming Clean About Government’s ‘Super-Race’ Forced Sterilizations

It sounds like something out of Nazi Germany, but it happened right in the United States. Now, former nurses are coming forward, admitting and lamenting their roles in a government forced-sterilization of those deemed “defective.” “Ground Zero” for the government plans for a “super-race” was at the Lynchburg State Colony for Epileptics and Feebleminded. Former nurse Celia Vandegrift is 87, but she explains that her memory is still crystal clear with regards to the forced-sterilizations she took part in administering. The government-run facility housed those who were epileptic, mentally disabled and others determined by the State to be “socially inadequate.” Vandegrift says she personally administered thousands of forced sterilizations as part of a government effort to rid society of those deemed defective. All of this was literally for the purpose of creating what the government claimed would be a “super-race.” Al-Jazeera’s “America Tonight” sat down with Vandegrift, who explained “it’s what our legislators wanted […] Read More

When Kim Nguyen called a cab after a few drinks, she thought she was on the right side of the law. But in spite of her best efforts, the 27-year-old pharmacist explains she was thrown from a police cruiser after Los Angeles police officers kidnapped and sexually assaulted her while she was waiting for that cab. Part of the assault on Nguyen was captured on camera, as the young woman was filmed tumbling from a moving LAPD cruiser after being handcuffed and kidnapped while waiting for the cab she called. Nguyen was just trying to get home in the early morning hours of March 17, 2013, but that’s not where her story ends. More on the latest developments in a minute. First, let’s make sure you understand just how serious her allegations against the LAPD are. Let’s start by taking a look at the video below: Back in 2013, Nguyen […] Read More

2015: ‘Walmart Just Proved They Are On The Side of Police Brutality’

Today marked the second National Day of Protest For John Crawford. Over a dozen cities all over the United States turned out to protest in front of their local Walmart stores, in support of the young man who was gunned down by police after he took a toy BB gun off of a Walmart shelf. Many who did not attend the protests have asked or wondered “why are you doing these protests at Walmart?” “After all,” they say, “it wasn’t Walmart’s fault that the Beavercreek police killed John Crawford.” Yes and no. Protesters associated with the #Action4JohnCrawford protests say that Walmart store security has colluded with the Beavercreek police from day one. They have covered up everything for the police and concealed evidence, all to help the police get their story together and to allow public anger to dissipate, at the police department’s request. While the public demanded that […] Read More
