2014: Taxi Driver Witnesses Crop Circle Appearing at Stonehenge

Taxi driver witnesses crop circle appearing opposite Stonehenge. Dramatic story behind this event. Lucy Pringle reports: This event is especially noteworthy for several reasons; a pilot flying a light aircraft from Exeter to Thruxton flew over the field opposite Stonehenge at on the afternoon of Sunday 7 July with a passenger taking photographs, at which time the field opposite on the A303 was unmarked. The pilot disembarked at Thruxton, completed the necessary landing and flight forms, refueled and then got back into the same plane to fly back to Exeter. Imagine his surprise on when flying over the same field opposite Stonehenge some 40 – 50 minutes later he observed an enormous formation measuring 915.2 X 508 ft imprinted in the wheat below. A gamekeeper and a guard at Stonehenge both confirmed that it had not been there that morning. The formation was named the `Julia Set` as it […] Read More

2014: New Stonehenge Discovery Changes Everything – 15 New Monuments!

Stonehenge has always been a mysterious place. For years, people have been pondering its meaning and whether or not humans had a hand in building the massive circular monument of upright stones. Just recently, the plot thickened at Stonehenge. A new study which, prior to, had never been done before suggests that there are 15 previously undiscovered monuments hidden underneath the ancient stone monument of Stonehenge. Lead researcher Prof. Vince Gaffney explained “This is among the most important landscapes, and probably the most studied landscape in the world,” he says. “And the area has been absolutely transformed by this survey. [It] won’t be the same again.” Researchers Used Radar & Laser Scanning Technology To conduct the study, researchers used a number of technologies to find out what lies beneath Stonehenge. They used a non-invasive ground penetrating radar as well as 3D laser scanning to get highly detailed maps of […] Read More

2005: The Long Emergency

What’s going to happen as we start running out of cheap gas to guzzle? By JAMES HOWARD KUNSTLER A few weeks ago, the price of oil ratcheted above fifty-five dollars a barrel, which is about twenty dollars a barrel more than a year ago. The next day, the oil story was buried on page six of the New York Times business section. Apparently, the price of oil is not considered significant news, even when it goes up five bucks a barrel in the span of ten days. That same day, the stock market shot up more than a hundred points because, CNN said, government data showed no signs of inflation Note to clueless nation: Call planet Earth. Carl Jung, one of the fathers of psychology, famously remarked that “people cannot stand too much reality.” What you’re about to read may challenge your assumptions about the kind of world we […] Read More

Behold!

There Are Mistranslations in the Bible and the Word Elohim Can Be Used as a Plural. Introduction: For those of you who have followed the debate on the internet you may know about the personal attacks I have withstood from Michael S. Heiser, in my attempt to honestly debate him regarding the writings and thesis of Zecharia Sitchin.  I always choose my words carefully and have never used the word “wrong” when applying it to Mr. Heiser and I have never personally insulted him or his position. The word “wrong” has emotional charge behind it so I try to use “correct/incorrect” to apply to details or facts.  I prefer to debate the evidence and the issues and not have a discussion become personal.  The purpose, for me, is to increase my understanding of a subject and clarify misunderstandings.  My goal is always to add to the body of knowledge and understanding of a complex issue for […] Read More

1882: Is Suicide a Crime?

A LETTER AND A REPLY The writer in the London Spiritualist for November, who calls the “Fragments of Occult Truth” speculation-spinning, can hardly, I think, apply that epithet to Fragment No. 3, so cautiously is the hypothesis concerning suicide advanced therein. Viewed in its general aspect, the hypothesis seems sound enough, satisfies our instincts of the Moral Law of the Universe, and fits in with our ordinary ideas as well as with those we have derived from science. The inference drawn from the two cases cited, viz., that of the selfish suicide on the one hand, and of the unselfish suicide on the other, is that, although the after-states may vary, the result is invariably bad, the variation consisting only in the degree of punishment. It appears to me that, in arriving at this conclusion, the writer could not have had in his mind’s eye all the possible cases […] Read More

Diagnoses and Palliatives

“That the world is in such bad condition morally, is conclusive evidence that none of its religions and philosophies, those of the civilized races less than any other, have ever possessed the truth. The right and logical explanation of the subject, of the problems of the great dual principles – right and wrong, good and evil, liberty and despotism, pain and pleasure, egotism and altruism – are as impossible to them now as they were 1881 years ago: they are as far from the solution as they ever were. . . .” (From an Unpublished Letter, well known to Theosophists.) One need not belong to the Theosophical Society to be forcibly struck with the correctness of the above remarks. The accepted creeds of the civilized nations have lost their restraining influence on almost every class of society; nor have they per had any other restraint save that of physical […] Read More

Psychology – The Science of the Soul

Ethics and law are, so far, only in the phases where there are as yet no theories, and barely systems, and even these, based as we find them upon à priori ideas instead of observations, are quite irreconcilable with one another. What remains then outside of physical science? We are told, “Psychology, the Science of the Soul, of the Conscious Self or Ego.” Alas, and thrice alas! Soul, the Self, or Ego, is studied by modem psychology as inductively as a piece of decayed matter by a physicist. Psychology and its mother-plant metaphysics have fared worse than any other sciences. These twin sciences have long been so separated in Europe as to have become in their ignorance mortal enemies. After faring poorly enough at the hands of mediaeval scholasticism they have been liberated therefrom only to fall into modern sophistry. Psychology in its present garb is simply a mask […] Read More

1878: The Ahkoond of Swat

– The Founder Of Many Mystical Societies. Of the many remarkable characters of this century, Ghafur was one of the most conspicuous. If there be truth in the Eastern doctrine that souls, powerful whether for good or bad, who had not time in one existence to work out their plans, are reïncarnated, the fierceness of their yearnings to continue on earth thrusting them back into the current of their attractions, then Ghafur was a rebirth of that Felice Peretti, who is known in history as Pope Sixtus V., of crafty and odious memory. Both were born in the lowest class of society, being ignorant peasant boys and beginning life as herdsmen. Both reached the apex of power through craft and stealth and by imposing upon the superstitions of the masses. Sixtus, author of mystical books and himself a practitioner of the forbidden sciences to satisfy his lust for power […] Read More
