The Pipe Ceremony

Those who desire to benefit their spiritual path by learning Native American knowledge and wisdom, some of which will come through the ceremonies, are recommended to get a Cannupa (pronounced Cha-New-Pa) or sacred pipe. The Cannupa is not restricted to only Indians. It has been jealously guarded by Native Americans, however, because many are fearful that the pipe may be used disrespectfully by non-Indian people. Many believe that a powerful good for all things can emanate from the respectful and proper use of the pipe, but it must be regarded as a spiritual instrument by the pipe holder, whatever their lineage or color happens to be. The pipe can become a strong catalyst to import a powerful feeling for our Mother Earth and all living things. Black Elk predicted that we would go forth in numbers as flames to bring forth beneficial change to this generation. The pipe, and […] Read More

Native American Prophecies

“North American Indian Prophecies”– excerpts from a talk given by Lee Brown (Cherokee) at the 1986 Continental Indigenous Council, Fairbanks, Alaska “There was the cycle of the mineral, the rock. There was the cycle of he plant. And now we are in the cycle of the animal coming to the end of that and beginning the cycle of the human being. When we get into the cycle of the human being, the highest and greatest powers that we have will be released to us. They will be released from that light or soul that we carry to the mind. But right now we’re coming to the end f the animal cycle and we have investigated ourselves and learned what it is to be like an animal on this earth. At the beginning of this cycle of time, long ago, the Great Spirit came down and He made an appearance […] Read More

Eleven Laws to Set You Free

by Guy Finley If we want to grow inwardly we must find new ways to learn about ourselves. These higher discoveries call for higher learning. Then watch how these lessons combine to effortlessly lift you to a higher and happier life level. The First Law: Nothing can stop you from starting over. The greatest power you possess for succeeding in life is your understanding that life gives you a fresh start any moment you choose to start fresh. You’ve only to test the truth of this fact about the newness of life […] Read More

DREAMWORK

PREPARATION: Quartz Crystals, note pads, pens, calm music. We recommend that you begin and end each lesson with a short meditation of ten minutes duration, as your body and mind need to be calm and relaxed to achieve the best spiritual/psychic results. DREAM PROGRAMMING Everybody dreams nightly, but not everyone remembers their dreams, on awakening. Some people dream in colour, others in black and white. We are all individuals, even in our dream state. Yet this is a great resource, God – given to us, which is often under-utilized and which can be used successfully for our Higher Spiritual growth. Even so called “nightmares” can help us examine our inner fears and blocks. Master White Eagle has told us in channellings recently, that, ” The Great Spirit often tries to send information, prophecy, to you through your dreams .. and often this is sent in the way of signs and […] Read More

EMERALD TABLET II: The Hall of Amenti

Deep in Earth’s heart lie the Halls of Amenti, far ‘neath the islands of sunken Atlantis, Halls of the Dead and halls of the living, bathed in the fire of the infinite ALL. Far in a past time, lost in the space time, the Children of Light looked down on the world. Seeing the children of men in their bondage, bound by the force that came from beyond. Knew they that only by freedom from bondage could man ever rise from the Earth to the Sun. Down they descended and created bodies, taking the semblance of men as their own. The Masters of everything said after their forming: “We are they who were formed from the space-dust, partaking of life from the infinite ALL; living in the world as children of men, like and yet unlike the children of men.” Then for a dwelling place, far ‘neath the earth […] Read More

Sacred Amulets

These two Sacred Amulets were found in an ancient burial tomb in close proximity to an ancient pyramid located in the Mississippi River Valley. According to Legend, this was the burial tomb of a High Priest and Priestess who inhabited that ancient city well over 30,000 years ago.  They were laid to rest together so they might share the same union in the after world that they shared on the earth plane. The strength of their union and concurrent time of death was indicated by the symbolic placement of their hands, one holding the other’s. The Sacred Amulet shown bears the image of a bird headed being. This being could be interpreted as Horace or Riegel, or perhaps the Winged Beings that are described in Ken Carey’s book – Return of the Bird Tribes. The Sacred Amulet, which adorned the High Priestess, bears the image of a winged being with a birds head, or helmet? You will notice that both […] Read More

The White Buffalo Called Miracle

***Miracle Died 2003*** Contents: Update On Miracle It’s A Miracle! Fulfilling The Prophesy Story of the White Buffalo Calf Woman UPDATE ON MIRACLE It was said by some that in “the time of the White Buffalo” sunbows, or whirling rainbows, would begin to appear more frequently as a sign to the people. As most readers of this journal will know, we are in the time of the White Buffalo. The long-awaited White Buffalo Calf was born August 20, 1994 on a Wisconsin farm owned by Dave and Valerie Hieder. Jay Pierce is Valerie Hieder’s dad, and he is the person who greets most of the over 65,000 people who have come out to the farm to visit Miracle since her birth just over a year ago. “Miracle is in great shape,” he reports. “She started out white alright, but then turned jet black for all of the Winter. Wakantanka: The Breath Giver

by Wambdi Wicasa Many, many seasons ago, Wakantanka, the Breath Giver, the Holy one, walked in the trees of the Paha Sapa, the Black Hills. The trees were cool and the music of the streams made him happy. Over the high hard rock the Eagle soared on great wings. Deer looked at Wakantanka, and their delicate feet were full of beauty and grace. Moose and Elk dipped their great heads into the water to pull the sweet lake grasses. The great Black Bears, afraid of nothing, padded toward the honey trees. Antelope stood deep in the meadow grasses. But with all this beauty around Him, Wakantanka was uneasy. He was happy and loved the Hills He had made, but there was no one He could talk to. There was no one He could love. No one who could return His love. To all his creatures He had given something […] Read More

Truths

“Ho! Mitakuye Oyasin.” The Truth We Seek Truth is often defined not by ourselves, but by others. It takes a real determination to begin the search for truth. And… it is a very difficult search I assure you. There is so much to wade through. There are so many opinions and  so many saying do this or do that… We always think we have enough time. Do we really? How far are you willing to reach deep inside yourself? Are you willing to really think? Are you willing to seek so that you may find? It is very easy to just skim the surface and not make any real changes in ourselves. It is easy to simply pay lip service and present an illusion to the world. If that is your attitude, then  look no further, you have made your choice. Just remember though, illusions have a way of crumbling sooner or […] Read More

TRADITIONAL SHAMANISM AN INTRODUCTION

The knowledge and truth of traditional shamanism exists everywhere. It exists for everyone to see, if you understand the message and see past your own illusions. It is the essential understanding of life, the oldest knowledge we have: that of who we are, why we are here, and what is our life’s purpose. It soars beyond the primitive healer whether in the rainforest, in the desert chewing roots, or waving rattles over a patient, to encompass the breadth of life, of all things. It exists in our history, mythology, fairy stories, culture, religion, and everyday life, for it is life itself. All the efforts of those in power, over thousands of years, to suppress it have not hidden it or destroyed it. For it is Truth, and it will indeed set you free. To know your true nature, self, and purpose is having power, being powerful, and is creating […] Read More

The Traditional Cherokee Belief System

In a search for order and sustaining that order, the olden Cherokee devised a simple, yet seemingly complex belief system. Many of the elements of the original system remain today. Although some have evolved or otherwise been modified, the traditional Cherokee of today recognize the belief system as an integral part of day-to-day life. Certain numbers play an important role in the ceremonies of the Cherokee. The numbers four and seven repeatedly occur in myths, stories and ceremonies. Four represents all the familiar forces, also represented in the four cardinal directions. These cardinal directions are east, west, north and south. Certain colors are also associated with these directions. The number seven represents the seven clans of the Cherokee, and are also associated with directions. In addition to the four cardinal directions, three others exist. Up (the Upper World), down (the Lower World) and center (where we live, and where […] Read More

The Seventh Fire

Neesh-wa-swi ish-ko-day-kawn’ The People of the Seventh Fire More than 1,000 years ago my people, the Anishinabeg, lived along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. There were so many and they were so powerful that it is said that one could stand at the top of the highest mountain, look in all directions, and not see to the ends of the nation. They traveled the waterways by canoe and in winter they traveled with dog sled. Their life was full of abundance and beauty. The Anishinabeg developed their natural heritage of wisdom and power through dreams and the way of the circle. They followed the path of the spirit, walking in balance, in harmony with all beings. They communicated with the animals and fish that provided them with food. Trees and plants told them of their medicines. They knew the magic and mystery of the spirals. Using this knowledge, […] Read More

The Drum: Drumming from the Heart

The drum is the heartbeat of Mother Earth. The animal who provided the hide did so with intention and purpose. In the drum the spirit of the animal nation lives. The honor and respect you show the drum also honors the four-legged, the winged ones, the crawlers and the bugs. The birch tree who contributed the wood for the frame did so with intention and purpose. In the drum the spirit of the plant nation lives. The honor and respect you show the drum honors the trees, bushes, flowers, and grasses. The stone in the heart of the drum asked to be a part of the drum so that you would remember the stone nation. The honor and respect you show the drum is honor and respect for the rocks, the soil, the waters and the air. When you drum, prayers from the Web of Life are sent to […] Read More
