On the Question of Imperialism

Is Russia Imperialist? There is much confusion as to the nature of imperialism. Many analysts contend that there is only one form of imperialism in the world today, namely NATO and that countries such as Russia and China are the leaders of a global anti-imperialist front, resisting domination by the Western corporate elite. However, such as theory does not stand up to scrutiny. In his book Imperialism: the Highest Stage of Capitalism, Vladimir Lenin defined imperialism as monopoly capitalism. He writes: If it were necessary to give the briefest possible definition of imperialism we should have to say that imperialism is the monopoly stage of capitalism. Such a definition would include what is most important, for, on the one hand, finance capital is the bank capital of a few very big monopolist banks, merged with the capital of the monopolist associations of industrialists; and, on the other hand, the […] Read More

Iran Says Top ISIS Commander Was Aboard Captured U.S. Navy Boats

A leaked Ministry of Defense report reveals that the Obama administration is “completely destroyed” after their top-secret mission in transporting a top ISIS leader was uncovered and thwarted by Iran.  Following the Iranian capture of two U.S. Navy Riverine Command Boats last week, intelligence officials in Tehran discovered a plot to transport a “top level” ISIS commander into Syria from Saudi Arabia in order to replace the toppled terrorist leader Zahran Alloush. Once this Islamic State terror leader was in route to Kuwait aboard one of the US Navy’s RCB’s, this report continues, an “overwhelming” force of Iranian Sepāh naval troops captured both this terrorist, the US Navy boats (including the American sailors aboard them) transporting him and nearly ignited an all out war when Iranian forces were forced to fire “warning missiles” against the US Navy’s aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman attempting to intervene. Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary […] Read More

2014: The Truth About the Lockerbie Bombing—And the Censored Film That Dared to Reveal It

A documentary that never aired in the U.S. theorizes that the Pan Am 103 bombing was an act of Iranian revenge hit. The final documentary produced by the American filmmaker Allan Francovich, The Maltese Double Cross: Lockerbie was buried by the American press upon its release in 1994. It was dismissed and attacked for including testimony from terrorists, convicted felons, turncoat spooks, and others of dubious character. But mostly it was ignored. Unlike Francovich’s previous films about the U.S. intelligence world, no art house theater screened it; no public television station aired it. As the 26th anniversary of the Lockerbie bombing approaches, Francovich has been vindicated. The basic elements of his film’s alternative theory — that the bombing of Pan Am 103 was an Iranian hit in revenge of the U.S. downing of Iran Air 655, contracted out to a Syrian-backed, Beirut-based splinter group of the Popular Front for the […] Read More

2014: Americans Are Sick of the War On Terror, War On Drugs … And All of the Other Failed U.S. Wars

Americans Turn Anti-War The American people are now overwhelmingly opposed to more war in Ukraine, Syria, Iran and elsewhere. A new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll shows: Americans in large numbers want the U.S. to reduce its role in world affairs even as a showdown with Russia over Ukraine preoccupies Washington …. In a marked change from past decades, nearly half of those surveyed want the U.S. to be less active on the global stage, with fewer than one-fifth calling for more active engagement—an anti-interventionist current that sweeps across party lines. A Pew poll from December found a majority of Americans – more than ever before in Pew’s 50-year history of polling this question – think the U.S. “should mind its own business internationally and let other countries get along as best they can on their own.” A Pew/USA Today poll conducted over the weekend found that Americans oppose – […] Read More

2001: ‘Secret’ Rome Meeting Recounted by AIPAC Spy Case Figure

A few years back Sheryl Crow recorded a haunting song called “Three Days in Rome,” about a lover’s treacherous retelling of their affair in a novel. Likewise, anonymous sources have been talking for years about a secret meeting two Bush administration Pentagon officials had in Rome with a notorious Iranian arms dealer, in December 2001. It’s been said that the officials, Larry Franklin and Harold Rhode, along with former Reagan White House intelligence operative Michael Ledeen, were scheming to sabotage a deal that Bush administration “moderates” were trying to make with Iran. Another version was that they were “rogue operators” plotting to overthrow the Iranian regime. Yet another tale about Rome has Italian intelligence officials passing along a fabricated document purporting to show that Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein, whom the Bush White House was plotting to overthrow, was buying uranium from Niger for a bomb. All such accounts were […] Read More

2006: The Al Qaeda Myth

Tom Porteous April 12, 2006 Tom Porteous is a syndicated columnist and author who was formerly with the BBC and the British Foreign Office. We now know that Al Qaeda had nothing to do with the London bombings in July 2005. This is the conclusion of the British government’s official inquiry report leaked to the British press on April 9. We now also know that the U.S. military is deliberately misleading Iraqis, Americans and the rest of the world about the extent of Al Qaeda’s involvement in the Iraqi insurgency. This was reported in The Washington Post on April 10, on the basis of internal military documents seen by that newspaper. What do these revelations tell us about the arguments of President George W. Bush and Prime Minister Blair that in Al Qaeda the “Free World” faces a threat comparable to that of the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany, […] Read More

2013: Internet freedom on decline worldwide as governments tighten grip – report

Authors highlighted greater internet activism as a bright spot among worrying developments. A protest against cybercrime law near the presidential palace in Manila October 13, 2012. (Reuters / Cheryl Ravelo) Improved surveillance, takedown of opposition websites for “illegal content” and paid pro-government commentators are among the increasingly sophisticated tools used by authorities to restrict internet freedom, a new report claims. The 2013 Freedom on the Net report, compiled by non-profit Freedom House, says that 34 out of the 60 countries it surveyed suffered a falloff in internet freedom over the past year. Iran, Cuba, China and Syria were ranked as countries with the greatest restrictions. China, which blocks millions of websites and employs thousands-strong armies of censors, “led the way in expanding an elaborate technological apparatus for system internet censorship, while further increasing offline coercion and arrests to deter freedom of expression online.” Iceland, Estonia and Germany took the […] Read More

1997: The Forbidden Legacy of a Fallen Race

by Andrew Collins Extracted from New Dawn No.40 (January-February, 1997) Is civilization the legacy of a race of human angels known as Watchers and Nephilim? Andrew Collins, author of FROM THE ASHES OF ANGELS, previews his history of angels and fallen angels and traces their origin back to an extraordinarily advanced culture that entered the Near East shortly after the end of the last Ice Age. Angels are something we associate with beautiful Pre-Raphaelite and renaissance paintings, carved statues accompanying Gothic architecture and supernatural beings who intervene in our lives at times of trouble. For the last 2000 years this has been the stereotypical image fostered by the Christian Church. But what are angels? Where do they come from, and what have they meant to the development of organized religion? Many people see the Pentateuch, the first five books of the Old Testament, as littered with accounts of angels […] Read More

Self Defense Blinds Us – Israel Involved In 911?

By Henry Makow PhD 8-13-6 Governments have always invented threats in order to pursue aggression and make their people sacrifice their lives, wealth and freedom. If you believe Israel and the West are under attack by Islamic extremism, you are being fooled. There is growing evidence that Israel was involved in the 9-11 attack and is plotting new terror scares to keep the GOP in power. A Report of the German Intelligence Service (BND) says Israel’s Mossad helped the “Arab terrorists.” Germany has not denied that this report is authentic and no one has been able to refute it. “These investigations disclosed in late May of 2001 that an attack was to be made against certain specified targets in the American cities of Washington and New York. But it was apparent that the Mossad was not only fully aware of these attacks well in advance but actually, though their […] Read More
