Strange Military Encounters with the Jinn

Whenever one finds themselves to be a stranger in a strange land, there are bound to be clashes with what they know and the reality of this new foreign realm. Yet, in addition to culture shock and a deluge of new customs and traditions, there is also often a collision against the more paranormal aspects of this new place, and according to some reports, this is not only an encounter with strange magical beliefs but with actual paranormal entities beyond one’s own culture, understanding or experience. One place where this seems to have happened is in the Middle East, where soldiers far from home fighting in an alien environment and culture have allegedly on occasion come face to face with actual manifestations of one of the most ancient and persistent supernatural beings of Middle Eastern lore, creating strange and baffling encounters between the modern Western world and the unique […] Read More

Weird creature photographed during a full moon

Every so often weird and unexplained creatures appear on photographs that those taken the photo didn’t see at the time. Just recently a one of those “what the hell is this?” photos was shared on Reddit and being discussed and debated as to what it could be. Shared by Reddit user MeTarzanYouJane they explained that these two photos was taken approximately 2 seconds apart by a family member who was taken photos of the full moon. They say that photographer has no knowledge or understanding of Photoshop so that can be ruled out. They were taken in the front yard of their house that they have just recently moved into. Here are the photo’s The figure in the second photo(above) seems to be running or jumping on its hind legs, it also produces a shadow which seems show that it was a solid creature and not a smudge or […] Read More

Would you like to visit another world? Then the numbers 4-2-6-2-10-5-1 are the combination to take you there. It is said that if you step inside an elevator and enter those floor numbers in that sequence you can enter another world. The ritual originated from Korea. You will need to find a building with at least 10 floors as the 10th floor is where you will step out into another world. If you enter the numbers in the correct order a woman will apparently enter on the 5th floor who you should never ever look at nor speak to. As the elevator arrives at the 10th floor, the woman will ask “where are you going?” but again you should never ever answer her. After you have been and explored the other world you can return by entering the same combination into the elevator floor buttons and when you step […] Read More

Ghosts in the Machine: The Strange World of Haunted TVs

Even as we have progressed as a species and our technology has become ever more advanced, stories of hauntings and communications from the dead have always followed us around. The only difference is that they seemed to have evolved along beside us, changing along with our world and seemingly working their way into our technology. Whereas once ghosts leapt out from old decrepit houses and Ouija boards, now they seem to have a whole new world of avenues through which to break through the wall that separates their domain from our own, and these ways can be every bit as creepy, scary, and indeed terrifying as anything that has come before. One of the more interesting incarnations of hauntings to emerge in the past century is the rise of ghosts that seem to be drawn to TVs, allegedly traveling into these devices through unknown means and reaching out through […] Read More

A Wailing Ghost In Brooklyn

XAVIER ORTEGA Sr. Editor at GhostTheory A cold darkness permeated Brooklyn’s east side one night in 1894. Under a bright moonlight, the cobblestone streets glistened as a thick fog poured over them. A fog that made its way down the hills surrounding Brooklyn’s Ward 27. An area surrounded by cemeteries that were almost as old as the dark, wet dirt that fills them. On these empty streets, five young women found themselves ankle-deep in a coiling fog. In a hurry, they decided to cut across an empty lot near Knickerbocker Avenue. As the ladies made their way through the lot, something made them stop dead in their tracks. Something white up ahead. The wafting fog grew more and more as the women shivered together. Just then, a hysterical cry ripped through the fog, sending a bolt of lightning down their chilled spines. Before any of them could move, much less utter a […] Read More

Werewolf Demons: The Bizarre Case of the Southend Werewolf

In the annals of the world of the strange, there are some cases that are really hard to classify. Some just seem to transcend borders and attempts to put them into any one file of the weird. For instance, there have long been the classic unexplained phenomena of ghosts, demonic possession, and werewolves, but very few cases that manage to blend them all together into a hybrid hodgepodge of bizarreness. Yet one of the most baffling and striking accounts of the paranormal manages to do just this. In a quiet seaside area of England, a normally mild-mannered family man found himself suddenly consumed by an ferocious, unidentifiable force that would go on to become a persistently odd case that would meld aspects of hauntings, possession and lycanthropy, and which remains a truly anomalous case that avoids easy classification. The story of what would go on to be called the […] Read More

The Murderous Ghost of the Chain Strangler

Ghosts are certainly scary enough as it is. Even scarier still is ghosts that lash out to do harm, and even more frightening than that is ghosts that kill. Although murderous ghosts have long been the realm of horror films, within the world of the paranormal it is actually quite rare for these apparitions to kill, yet it is not unheard of. For whatever reasons it seems that some spirits are more malevolent than most, and have the terrifying ability to reach out to not only frighten but also to inflict death. One such case comes to us from the US state of Kentucky, where a vengeful spirit of a killer in life is said to have also been a killer in death. It was an otherwise quiet night in Pulaski County, Kentucky in 1938 when a carpenter by the name of Carl Pruitt was heading home after a […] Read More

Hundreds of Experienced Hunters Vanish In U.S. National Parks Without Any Proof

What would you say if I told you that over 1,100 people have “vanished” from this country’s national parks and forests in the past 100 years. Furthermore, what if I told you a large percentage of those people who “vanished” are innocent young children, many younger than the age of 10? That would seem strange right? Then, what if I told you the National Park Service claims their agency does not keep records of people who have gone missing within National Parks or Forests, not even children. Does that make ANY sense to you? Children are “vanishing,” and yet the government keeps no record? Further adding to the mystery, what if I told you dozens and dozens of the over 1,100 victims who have simply “vanished” from Federal National Parks and National Forests over the years were experienced hunters? Often, hunters are considered some of the best and most […] Read More

The Ghosts of Golden Gate Park

Tales of ghostly phenomena are far from being confined to remote, isolated places in the dark old houses and crumbling buildings of the world. Indeed, there are alleged ghosts and specters that don’t seem to mind at all a little company, or even a lot, for some of the more famous eerie stories of hauntings come to us from locations that attract droves of people, changing our image of just where we can expect to experience these spooky phenomena. One such place can be found sprawled out within the city of San Francisco, California, in the United States. Here in one of the most visited parks in America there allegedly lurk more than one mysterious phantom, which roam the shadows among its many visitors. Lying within the city of San Francisco, California is the sprawling expanse of green known as Golden Gate Park. Measuring over three miles (4.8 km) […] Read More

Worst Demons To Get Possessed By

5) Aquiel Aquiel is a demon who presides over Sundays, and because he’s a demon in Christian mythology, he does everything he can to destroy and degrade the practice of keeping the Sabbath holy. That doesn’t sound too bad. But consider what kind of damage he could do if he possessed the wrong person. That’s right, this demon possesses one senator, and suddenly the entire state of Wisconsin has the “right” to work seven days a week without a single day off. Just sayin’. 4) Surgat Many of the demons on this list are first mentioned in the Great Grimoire of Honorius. Who was Honorius? Historians aren’t sure, but they think that he was Honorius III, who was the Pope from 1216 to 1227. Whether he wrote the book or not, Honorius is famous among popes for deliberately doing ceremonies to summon demons so he could then banish the […] Read More

Edison Worked on a Spirit Phone to Record Voices of the Dead

A long-lost chapter of the memoir of Thomas Edison has been found and published in France and it contains details of the great inventor’s plans to build a device to record the voices of the newly departed. Edison’s original memoir is called “Diary And Sundry Observations” and was published in 1948, 16 years after his death. The first edition of the book contained a last chapter called “Spiritualism,” a collection of essays in which Edison talks about his beliefs in an afterlife and a way to communicate with the dead. I believe, rightly or wrongly, that life is undestructable … I am inclined to believe that our personality hereafter will be able to affect matter. If this reasoning be correct, then, if we can evolve an instrument so delicate as to be affected, or moved, or manipulated – whichever term you want to use – by our personality as […] Read More
