2015: Sometimes You’re Better Off Breaking The Law. But When?

What exactly is civil disobedience? It’s a tricky one to define. But, for the sake of ease, let’s just say it like this: Civil disobedience is the performance of an illegal act which is directed in some way against the government, for whatever reason. Sometimes, civil disobedience is also known as “non-violent direct action.” Just remember, there’s a difference between just breaking the law, and disobeying it. If you decide to drive your car home from the bar after drinking seven beers, it is not an act of civil disobedience. Why not? Because your action is not aimed at trying to change some law within our government. You are simply driving home drunk because you don’t want to wait for a taxi, right? People who carry out acts of civil disobedience usually want to make something “better” for the whole of society, not just for themselves. It’s also worth noting that civilly disobedient […] Read More

Two Bills Just Introduced To Congress Will Federally Legalize Cannabis In The US

Friday, February 20th marked an interesting moment in the case for cannabis legalization – U.S. Representatives Jared Polis (D-CO) and Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) introduced two separate bills in Congress to legalize adult-use marijuana at the federal level. The first bill, ‘The Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol Act‘, was submitted by Polis, and would act as a safety net for any state wishing to legalize cannabis, meaning they would no longer have to worry about intervention at the Federal level. The second bill with the same name would tax cannabis at the Federal level, on top of any state/local taxes. In what seems like a fast moving cascade for the cannabis legislation movement, four states have already legalized marijuana use for adults over 21 (Colorado, Washington, Alaska and Oregon), and 23 states (and Washington DC) allow medical marijuana use. Eleven more states have restrictive medical marijuana laws in place allowing the use of low-THC forms of marijuana (usually […] Read More

2015: Canadians Sued The Bank Of Canada & Won. Mainstream Media & Government Blacks Out Story

Recently, constitutional lawyer Rocco Galati won yet another round of appeals set forth by the Bank of Canada in a case involving two Canadians who filed an action in federal court to restore The Bank of Canada to its original purpose and operations. This is a very significant story but you probably haven’t heard of it. Why? The mainstream media and government have blacked out the story for reasons that appear to stem from the fear of how the public will react to realizing they’ve been systematically enslaved for decades. Significant Legal Action The initial federal court filing took place on December 12th, 2011 by  Canadian constitutional lawyer, Rocco Galati, on behalf of Canadians William Krehm, Ann Emmett, and COMER (Committee for Monetary and Economic Reform). The filing is intended to “restore the use of the Bank of Canada to its original purpose, by exercising its public statutory duty and […] Read More

A Major Petition Is Presented For The Government To Review 9/11 Truth Evidence – See What Was Said

On Wednesday December 10th 2014, David Long (9/11 survivor and author of the 9/11 petition presented to parliament on December 3rd by Elizabeth May, Leader of the Green Party), Bill Brinnier (NY architect and board member of New York City Coalition for Accountability Now), Isabelle Beenen (Spokesperson for NYC based Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth) and Dr. Graeme MacQueen (Spokesperson for Consensus 9/11 and founder of McMaster’s Centre of Peace Studies) delivered powerful statements at a press conference on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, drawing much needed attention to the falsehoods in the official 9/11 narrative. Here is the un-edited footage: The carefully crafted false narrative of 9/11 perpetuated through mainstream media is the catalyst for war and devastation overseas. This is why the truth about 9/11 is so important to bring to light through constant alternative media efforts, which have begun to ripple into the mainstream. It’s not about […] Read More

12 Numbers Which Prove That Americans Are Sick And Tired Of Politics As Usual

The American people are increasingly waking up to the fact that nothing ever seems to change in Washington D.C. no matter which political party is in power.  In fact, as you will see later on in this article, an all-time high 53 percent of all Americans believe that neither party “represents the American people”.  Over the past several decades, we have sent a Bush, a Clinton, another Bush and an Obama to the White House, but the policies coming out of Washington have remained pretty much the same the entire time.  The mainstream media would have us believe that the Republicans and the Democrats are constantly fighting like cats and dogs, but the truth is that the Republicans want to take us to the same place that the Democrats want to take us – just a little more slowly perhaps.  And behind the scenes, Republicans and Democrats have a […] Read More

2014: Is Convenience Creating Hazards In The Digital Age?

Home automation technology: is it an asset or a liability? Alternately referred to as “The Internet of Things,” such systems allow homeowners to control multiple devices within their house, which communicate with each other via wireless technology. However egalitarian this may sound, it’s worth noting that such systems do pose multiple security risks. Part of what’s alarming about this situation is that Google recently acquired the home automation tech developer Nest. On the one hand, Google has done a tremendous amount to create an experience for internet browsers that weeds out marketing ploys and, ideally speaking, takes users to the sites which are most relevant to their search queries. On the other hand, because so many people use Google, they have comprehensive data about virtually everyone in the developed world, and they’ve also been working, rather pro-actively, towards increasing internet availability in remote corners of the United States, as […] Read More
