2016: There’s Something Extraordinary Happening in the World

Most of us haven’t quite realized there is something extraordinary happening. A few months ago, I freed myself from a standard-procedure society. I broke the chains of fear that kept me locked up into the system. Since then, I see the world from a different perspective: the one that everything is going through change and that most of us are unaware of that. Why is the world-changing? In this post, I’ll point out the eight reasons that lead me to believe it. 1. No one can stand the employment model any longer We are reaching our limits. People working with big corporations can’t stand their jobs. The lack of purpose knocks on your door as if it came from inside you like a yell of despair. People want out. They want to drop everything. Take a look on how many people are willing to risk entrepreneurship, people leaving on […] Read More

Noam Chomsky: “The World That We’re Creating For Our Grandchildren Is Grim”

Renowned linguist and well-respected political commentator, Noam Chomsky, was interviewed by journalist David Barsamian for Jacobin. In the fascinating and thought-provoking conversation the two touch on the origins of ISIS, America’s relationship with Israel, among other foreign policy topics. Below are a few choice selections from the interview, which can (and should) be read in full at Jacobin. When asked about the origins of ISIS Chomsky explained how sectarian conflict derived from the Iraq war: “There’s an interesting interview that just appeared a couple of days ago with Graham Fuller, a former CIA officer, one of the leading intelligence and mainstream analysts of the Middle East. The title is “The United States Created ISIS.” This is one of the conspiracy theories, the thousands of them that go around the Middle East. But this is another source: this is right at the heart of the US establishment. He hastens to point out that […] Read More

1689: The Six Keys of Eudoxus

THE FIRST KEY 1. The First Key is that which opens the dark prisons in which the Sulphur is shut up: this is it which knows how to extract the seed out of the body, and which forms the Stone of the philosophers by the conjunction of the spirit with the body — of sulphur with mercury. 2. Hermes has manifestly demonstrated the operation of this First Key by these words: In the caverns of the metals there is hidden the Stone, which is venerable, bright in colour, a mind sublime, and an open sea. 3. This Stone has a bright glittering: it contains a Spirit of a sublime original; it is the Sea of the Wise, in which they angle for their mysterious Fish. 4. But the operations of the three works have a great deal of analogy one to another, and the philosophers do designedly speak in […] Read More

2004: New WMD Report Slams Bush White House

By Jim Lobe, Inter Press Service January 9, 2004 Three leading non-proliferation experts from a prominent think tank charge that the administration of U.S. President George W. Bush “systematically misrepresented” the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction. In a 107-page report released Thursday, Jessica Mathews, Joseph Cirincione and George Perkovich of the Washington-based Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (CEIP) call for the creation of an independent commission to fully investigate what the U.S. intelligence community knew, or believed it knew, about the true state of Iraq‘s WMD program between 1991 and 2003. They say that the probe should also determine whether intelligence analyses were tainted by foreign intelligence agencies or political pressure. Cirincione told reporters, “It is very likely that intelligence officials were pressured by senior administration officials to conform their threat assessments to pre-existing policies.” The Carnegie analysts also found “no solid evidence” of a […] Read More
